  1. He said he sorted 3 of them, but not the 4th, so I would guess and say he has tried to get them helicoiled already.
  2. Lolz, your all gay. to be honest, Looks more like mine and Fatty's lovechild, I thought no one would find out. Looks more like fatty, apart from the glasses, and the bowl.
  3. Yeh I did bend the end up, it still failed. I got a half link for it and it mended it.
  4. My mate had two Try-Alls, I'd rather have an ACS! The died very quickly, and he's not a super strong rider. I know a Tensile has less engagements, but I prefer that, you can feel it clunk into place every time you are lining up for something and turn a crank back a bit, which is quite reasurring really.
  5. Yeh so did I, then it started to skip so I cleaned it all out, then it stopped. Yeh I know, but I couldn't care less to be honest Chris, it's £35 and if you take the grease out it doesn't skip, even when it is 18 months old!
  6. Excellent pics Stefan, apart from the one of me on that gap, (second one down), I look like a rate twat!

There's nothing wrong with a QR on the front, I used one for ages and it was great. Just use it or get a different hub. The Tart has spoken so it can't be done.
  8. I tried that, it was shite, it was jubilie clipped to the frame and kept pinging off when I pedalled backwards. This looks cool, well down mate. The legnth of the thing looks like a bit of an overkill thought.
  9. Cheers Dave and thanks to everyone who observed and set out. It was a good, tricky trial and we had a brilliant time. Another podium finish for me. (Even though I only managed to keep one dab up lol)
  10. The bearing life will be a lot shorter, but it's £35 and it's better than having it skip every 5 minutes. You can always take one of the shims out when it gets a bit worn and a bit of play in there.
  11. Lol. That would be so true if it was true. It may be a 26" rotor, but you can't put anything like as much pressure on the pads. I used maggy for about 8 months, and tried loads of pad/grind combos, and I am still trying to get a decent maggy on my brothers bike. It's now the best maggy I have ever built, but it's still rubbish compared to a disc. I have never used a disc on a stock though, I'd imagine that the flexes involved would be worse than on a mod.
  12. Tensile are the bestest. Mine is grinding now because I filled it with mud today at the trial, but did it ever skip? No! (18 months old, no skip). I almost want it to skip now. I run it completely dry with just WD40 in there and it refuses to skip. If you buy one, strip it down and clean out all the grease before it goes on your bike, or it will skip several times.
  13. Wow! You said something other than, "Nosellinginnmc", Nice one mate! Not helpful at all like, but your starting to go in the right direction. Trials shoes will work better than normal skate shoes or whatever grip wise, but in my experience they hurt my feet because I have really wide feet, and they hang off either side of the sole.
  14. If you run a front maggy without a booster, then it's pretty obvious that it is more likely to brake, but it's not set in stone.
  15. It's a massive compromise, you can't have a bike that's good at both, it will be stuck in the middle. I used to do trials, xc, jumping and 4x on a Scott YZ0. the only thing it did well was 4x, for everything else the geo was too slack, and for trials the brakes were dire and the chain fell off when I pedalled backwards.
  16. Best just rebleeding it mate, it's easy and can transform your brake.
  17. Nice find Danny, it's like looking at a picture that was taken 3 years ago! It's 2008 now Jonny.
  18. It doesn't matter, as soon as he comes out he'll get murdered anyway.
