I find ISIS to be stiffer than square taper, and lighter, and stronger, and the bearings last longer, but that said they do cost a fair bit more. The advantages are so small though that if my current bike was square taper, I wouldn't bother upgrading. However if you decide to buy lighter/stronger/posher crankarms, I'd upgrade to ISIS.

Snor snor snor. James' review was wank. If he wanted to prove that the Panda was a more fun car than the Corsa, why not do a road test? I believe him, but I would have loved to see a 0.8l Panda going sideways at 15mph on the way to work. The film bit was rediculous. The humor felt so forced. In fact, the only bit I laughed at properly through the whole episode, was James saying "Well there is a war on" about the Morgan.

Just because she's not keen doesn't mean she's not desperate. Text her. If she ignores the text, then sack it off. -
The force from your finger might be 200 newtons say, that's the maximum your finger can produce. If you have one disc and caliper, then each one will get 100n effectively. There are smaller factors like friction, surface area etc that play a part, but if you're talking real world and rough effects, adding an extra caliper and rotor will just be heavier IMO. (Totally my opinion, not fact). This bit I'm more sure about. To "get" it you need to know the difference between heat and temperature. Motorbikes have two discs up front sometimes because stopping a bike from 200mph generates an amount of heat, let's call it X. Any brake will fade and stop working as well at a certain temperature, let's call it Y. If you have two discs and two calipers, then the heat generated is split across the brakes, meaning that the temperature of each one is lower, reducing the chances of getting brake fade when braking hard. If you're braking hard from 200mph, and with one brake you experience brake fade at 60mph and it stops working, then stick two calipers and discs on, and it won't fade at all. Trials bikes don't generate any heat really, so the force from your finger can go into one disc without overheating it, so two discs will just be heavier. It also makes the lever feel spongier, which is gay.

I thought my whole pet analogy/troll was obsurd enough that everyone would just laugh, first it was taken seriously, but it seems some of you actually do it? Fffaaaiiilll. Treating each other IMO should not be because of a reason other than you want to do something nice for the other one. Say if my lady and I go out because one of us have achieved something, we say it's to celebrate, and one will usually pay admitedly, but next time the other will. It's never "Ooohh you did really well at sucking my gentleman sausage last night, here, have a nice fancy meal". That shit just feels wrong to me. -

Lllawwlllll totally trolled you guys right now. Course we f**king don't. We just take it in turns to pay for stuff. Sometimes it's a treat for the pair of us, like eating somewhere fancy or doing something nice, other times it's just a film and a takeaway. -

Bit of a hard line to be honest Sav. I like to think of treats are rewards for good behaviour. Like if we leave the flat by 8.30am on saturday, I'll buy you McDonald's breakfast on the way to the train station. We do it all the time. Last week I was treated to a lovely chinese takeaway meal for being nice for a whole hour. -

On paper, get shot to be honest. You'll be a rich man. Onviously "feelings" and other shit has an effect though. -

Sounds like she's a sponge to be honest. I'd just say everything's split firmly down the middle now because you're sick of it. That's pretty much what me and my lady do, we don't keep track of it but if she eats a fair bit of food at mine one week, she'll buy our meal next time we're in the pub or if one of us gets the train tickets to somewhere, the other gets them on the way back. -
Hmmmm. Try booting an Ubuntu live CD and copying the stuff off to an external. Then steal W7. Seriously don't install Vista again, it's shocking. I just wiped my wench's 3 year old laptop of Vista and installed W7, it's at least twice as fast to boot up and to open the core programs like Firefox, Word etc.
-
It's totally borked. Install W7 instead, but choose the advanced install and do it from scratch, formatting the partitions first.

Also if you want to look bigger, shoulders and back are the most important bit IMO, then chest, then arms. Obviously everyone is different but I'm just talking the bits that I would concentrate on.

Yeh, you've got bloody fast ADSL. Errrm, in that case something else is causing the loading of css/image files to fail I think.
-
If it happens in both, it's not the browser that's at fault. Don't be surprised if the issue continues. Run speedtest.net and post dude, I bet your ping is too high.

When I used to ride blacks were shit, and I was utterly rubbish at trials. I think my crowning glory was winning the Intermediate route at a YMSA comp in the MOD class. Against 2 other riders...

Not really girl trouble, but I think she may be mad. Today the ladyfriend sent me a text message saying, "Don't make any plans on Tuesday, got a surprise in store for you, don't worry it won't cost you a penny. " My reply was, "Aww that's so sweet. What plans? Are we going climbing? I like climbing". This went on for a while, reading it back I made very clear that I had no idea that it's valentine's day on tuesday. But no, she replied with, "It's a surprise silly, dw just don't make any plans". Oh, and in every text I made it very clear that I wanted to go climbing, so maybe she thinks I was planning on taking her climbing for valentine's? I dunno. I know I should be in trouble but I'm not, how does that work? -
On things like stem bolts? Nah, I'll stick to grease I think.
-
It's less lubricatatory than proper grease, it's smelly, it's harder to wash off your hands, it wears out your bearings faster (a hunch of mine) because of the copper filings in it, it looks rank, and doesn't easily wipe off whatever you've put it on.

Images/CSS files are failing to download properly. Possibly an issue with the broadband connection quality, (ping too high so files are timing out before they are downloading). Run speedtest.net, post results
