  1. Firefox renders better (IMO), has better plugins, can do more things out of the box, looks nicer and is easier to use. On the downside, it's badly built and buggy as foooook. All my opinions, not facts. I use both browsers every day for 8 hours at work (sometimes, when I'm testing), but cba to find real evidence.
  2. Lol cheers bro. Guess my winter training diet is working out alright. I can't tell much of a difference yet to be honest. Breakfast: 3 eggs scrambled on 2 slices of toast. Lunch: Tuna and lettuce butties. (One tin, some lettuce, 4 slices of bread). Tea: Usually fairly decent. Pasta with lots of mince, or fish and veg. EDIT: Reminds me, I've invented my own burger recipe, not worked out the stats yet but they're about 25-35% of the RDA of saturated fat and fat in each one, but 40g+ of protein. I'll drop you some round if you want next time I make a batch. They're a bit bland because they're made with lean mince, but it's a treat if you're used to a normal gain diet lol.
  3. You're talking about signed bands, what about unsigned ones? It's all very well saying "If they're good enough, they'll be signed", but that's simply not the case. Pop music these days is universally filled with shit (the common consensus seems to say anyway). I went to see a band just before christmas who were the best live act I've ever seen, and I've seen a lot of big bands live. I asked them why they weren't signed, and of course the answer was that it wasn't worth it. Most of the members used to be in Fandangle (anyone into ska-punk should know that name), and they packed it in because they couldn't afford to do it any more. Between me and my mate, we bought 2 t-shirts and a CD, totally about £30. £15-20 of that was going straight towards paying for the petrol to get them there, anything else they made went towards new gear. I'll happily buy the music of bands like that, because they're just as badly off as I am. Anyway, back to the topic, read this: http://www.washingtonsblog.com/2012/01/the-real-meaning-of-the-take-down-of-megaupload.html
  4. If you've got a problem with it, tell her. She can easily ignore you and go anyway. EDIT: To sav.
  5. Do you know any? No? Then f**k right off. Most I know are rather poor, and have to work full time jobs as well. Buying their music makes a massive difference.
  6. Nope, sorry. Laptops are not my calling I'm afraid.
  7. Heyup dude! Aye I remember you. My names Sam, but no-one really calls me that. Everyone knows me as Muel. Nope never been in touch with any clubs really. I probably will this summer though. I'm at Hallam anyway so probably won't be very welcome... Any time you're out mate I'd love to tag along. Pretty sure there are buses that run fairly close. EDIT: Just replied to your email mate.
  8. Can you boot an Ubuntu live cd on it? See what the hard drive looks like in there? It might be something wrong with the main board or some of the cabling, or an incompatibility thing.
  9. Aye, also use that link to sign up, gets me free space.
  10. Pen drive? You peasant lol. It's 2012, get on Dropbox lol.
  11. Ahhh, I'm in the same boat. Don't know anyone with a car now either, dang! Just popped to Go Outdoors, (booo hissssss support your local shop you b*****d etc), got 6 quickdraws for £40. Just cheapy wiregates (Camp Orbit Dyneema). Unfortunately they're all 15cm, ideally wanted some 10cm ones but for that price, they'll do. They have many a special offer in there and it's right next door to my local wall (15 min walk from my house), so I'll be checking back regularly for a similar sort of deal. At the very least, I just got 12 decent wiregates for £40.
  12. NO BODY CARES HOW FAST YOU CAN PEDAL, THIS IS BODY BUILDING. GO BACK TO BIKE CHAT.
  13. From many years of experience looking at men's bodies, I'd say there's very little fat on Jed there. I'd suggest going on a maximum bulk, which you can't really do with dumbbells at home I'm afraid. Get a decent weight training diet sorted and get to a gym, and cue the heavy lifts I'd say. At the moment I'm not doing that, I'm just "toning". (Basically climbing a lot and reducing my BF so I've got a better power/weight ratio for this summer's climbing season).
  14. It won't "snap". It's badly built though, so I'd expect it to pringle if you bin it. Personally I'd just re-tension and true the wheel rather than waiting for it to go wrong.
  15. Biceps aren't too bad, just need to work a lot on chest, back, shoulders, traps, triceps, forearms and (probably) legs. I'm not posting pictures of me at the moment, despite being in the best shape of my life I still think I'm fat and pitiful. 5'10", 184lbs, 14-15% BF (estimated), 14.5" arms (yeh guns blud rawr). My BMI is only 26.4 these days. Used to be 27.5, ah thems were the days.
  16. Ah, I've done that before. Just copy the My Games folder to My Massive Vagina, then reinstall steam, rename the folders and it should be fine.
  17. I mean just copy it to the desktop lol. Why are you uninstalling it anyway?
  18. Probably not, but just make a copy of them first?
  19. He speak the troof. It's only like ripping off code from the internets. Everybody does it, difference is no-one cares. People write decent code so people will copy it, which increases their reputation and gets them other work, like doing talks and the like. The music/film industry needs to recognise that they can make this work to their advantage. If a band gives their album away for free, I am far more likely to download it, listen to it, and turn up to one of their gigs. if they only sell it, then I'll never hear them play. Not sure how to apply that to films, but I don't really care, it's not for me to work out.
  20. No it won't, the uproar has been too great, it's not been thought about enough first, it won't work anyway, and too many multi-national companies are dead against it. But as he said, next year there will be a revised form of it, and at some point in the future I believe the internet will be censored and policed, and life will return to what it was like 10 years ago, when people copied their mates DVDs. The scary thing is the policing of the every day person. Under this new law, you won't be allowed to upload a photo to facebook without it being OK'd by some suited f**ker in America. It'll get to the stage where if you go ona night out, and upload a picture of you and your wingman climbing up a bus shelter, it'll be removed because bus shelters have advertising boards on them with copyrighted logos, and that won't be allowed.
  21. I'm with you to be honest, for the reasons you said. Also, everyone should watch this, shows the true threat of these proposed bills:
  22. Fair enough. Ah well, you can build a spare computer up in that case.
  23. Ah, standard. Other than that I'm lost for ideas to be honest. How come it has a dual core CPU now btw? Thought you got a quad from Kev?
  24. I've only had those symptoms with dead ram before. No real idea to be honest, but sounds like driver shit to me. I always just wipe Windows and start again in that case, always works out to be quicker. Run HDTune on it (ideally steal the full version) and do the health check and error scan. If they have 0, then it's fine, 1 or more and it's dying. 4gb sticks are DDR3 usually, but the RAM you said you already had was DDR2, sure it's going to work mate?
  25. Well I live in Sheffield, so if you want somewhere to stay closer to the peaks for a weekend in exchange for a lift you can stop at mine. Burbage, Stanage, Millstone, Lawrencefield etc are only 30-45 mins away.
