  1. please excuse my ignorance, but what exactly have you done?
  2. www.myspace.com/westonsupertrials
  3. 1 thing i'm not slagging of the bike, i think its pretty cool for £600, it just makes me laugh that the last time they copied another design they ended up in court because of copyright (i know this because i used to work for halfords an had contact with them, plus one of my m8s is sponsored by them no names though an not saying who he/she works for, lol)
  4. personally dont like em, but try em out if you can on some1 elses bike, if you like em then get em
  5. hey everyone, if you get a chance check out mbuk, where you'll see a pull out poster from diamondback. if you look at there new trials bikes you may notice that apart from a strange looking down tube an different graphics its basicly a zoo! pitbull '05. once again diamondback rip off another make, lol
  6. giants are great for learning on, i had the original yellow 1 an my 2nd bike at the mo is a blue '05 model, good 4 street, tough an light an flickable
  7. having ridden and owned both stock an mod, i'd personally say stock, but try em out and see for yourself
  8. contact deng@echobikes.com he's the owner of zoo! echo adamant etc should be able to give you the info you need
  9. y not try an get summit like a norco stock 2nd hand, or if its mod ur after mayb a giant mod (mite b a tad more than what your lookin 4) or as mrkoxx says zona zip, python, monty 221pr, koxx levelboss but 2nd hand, don't go for an onza thoogh. Ben G WST
  10. i'd get down to your local bike shop and get em to check the chain life, and give you advice on tensioners or summit, its difficult to say anything about your problem without seeing the bike in person, your local bike shops your best bet m8
  11. yeah thats tru, but just havin a bike that works is ussually half the battle, lol
  12. worth a shot i guess if u want to be a member instead of nebie, go 4 it
  13. true when you consider that i got a complete set of avid sd5 v brakes for £35 that work v well
  14. i tried them on beau'sbike and wasn't impressed, he'd by all acounts had trouble with them, last i saw he had a mag on the front? they're okay but nothing to report home about, Ben
  15. interesting, bound to be some downhillers running that at some point, lol but probably a smaller unit, old design though, saw something similar to that in mbuk 5-6 years ago, can't remeber the make, but the bike was yellow
  16. fair enuf. trials riders are to showy though, so sometimes appearence is more important than weight to some riders, lol.
  17. ok does ur brake work, i'll take a guess on yes! then that makes it a pointless question. (it probably could work btw, but its still pointless)
  18. y grind ur rim? u weaken it, u get through pads quicker, etc. grinding rims first came about years ago for comp riding as a way to chanell out xcess water, and i don't mean stupid all over grinds, i mean grooves every half inchor so, be different m8, don't follow the crowd, unless your sponsored an get given wheels all the time, otherwise its just not worth it. btw i use no grind black pads and bitumen an that works as well as any of my m8s brakes.
  19. Y???? Y????? Y???????????????????? how pointless would that be, lol
  20. wots that got to do with what i said????
  21. well i've tried the new echo brakes and didn't like em at all, the lever blades are 2 rattly compared to mags, and to be honest i can't see where there value is for the extra money, so i'd stick to maggies there cheaper and can work well if set up properly (same goes for v's btw), i would say you don't get what you pay for with the echo's, you do with mags, Ben G WST
  22. The worlds best riders tend to be able to sidehop high to both sides so its good to try to both sides, im left footed an sidehop to the left higher an more comfortable but try to the right aswell. i really hate it when people say you have to sidehop to the left if your right footed an vice-versa, like everyones been saying just look at the way nezza sidehops left/left . Ben G WST
  23. Thats a good point, but geometry and components effect the feel of a bike aswell, most well built trials bikes are light, my pitbull is quite light but with lightness comes the strength factor, strength or light? although strong can be light aswell, obviously more expensive bikes tend to be lighter to. Back to your point though, i think if your a good rider you could ride most bikes well, heavy or not. Ben G WST
  24. Hmmm well its sounds to me that you need a longish framed mod if you keep hitting your knees on your pashley, a monty would be very short, onzas okay but your probably better of trying to get something like a zoo! python, adamant mod or koxx levelboss mod 2nd hand. If you can, grab a go on 1 of these types of bikes and you'll see how much better and worthwhile they are . Ben G WST
