Loads of girls seem unhappy with their boyfriends mate, but you can bet that they will always go back to them. Just be a good friend to her but don't expect her to drop everything to be with you. All I hear on the radio news is about 'obesity' in people? Where are these lard consuming species? Do they congregate in secluded areas of the countryside constantly filling out surveys compiled by some Radio 1 media student? I honestly don't believe that 1 in 4 kids is obese. All my friends are slim, I eat shit food and binge drink every weekend but because I ride it keeps me fit and under 11 stone (I'm a weed lol). As for the mention of an elderly population=its getting worse. Banning smoking in public places and trying to get a 'Healthier Nation' is another of many poxy popularity wanting schemes divided by Anthony Blair. Smoking=destructive, people die younger and generally it's 'lower class' that smoke. So people that don't have the high, A1 type jobs. The money they spend on fags contributes to £9 billion of the U.Ks economy and the three largest companies in Britain are guess what? Tobacco Producers! So theres going to be more people living longer, with less money going into the economy and into the government through the high tax paid on tobacco. Sorry to go way off topic! Good thread though, no one is going to be riding all their life so just work as much as you can, aim high and make sure it doesn't take over your life or you'll lose any individuality you have as a rider! I just buy cheapish skate shoes for riding in when a shop like bmx-shop or Alans has a sale on. Can't really complain about the grip, most of my shoes last 3-6 months then fall apart anyhow. It's a tough life being a shoe that has to be able to grip around sharp pins on a pedal, survive being scuffed on tarmac, played football with, being puked on at weekends/parties (ok so not me personally but many friends I know have) and geting covered in mud at trails. I've learned that if you rotate your pairs of trainers they'll last for ages. Tom

Tim's section is pretty good on there. It's a mtb vid that covers mainly downhill and trails but I liked it, some fresh music and good crashes etc. Buy it. Tom

One thing I'm not sure of: In Wales and Scotand students don't pay top up fees, however does it apply for Welsh and Scottish students only. Let's say I get into Cardiff, I'm English so will I have to pay the top up fees? Tom

Tom's Short summary of soaps ( I go to college ok! = hear all about it, leads onto peeking at episodes) Neighbours: Crazy accidents, marriages doomed asap after the word is breathed. Toady-Dee, Stu-Cindy, Susanne-Alex (cancer, then plane crash=double negative so he'll probably survive) etc etc. Girls= Sky, Izzy, Elle, Serena, Carmella and some others probably. Hollyoaks: Student soap, loads of girls, cool editing and some weird diseases=Cameron WTF! Girls=Becca and sister, Clare, blonde student?, Mandy etc etc. Eastenders: Pretty crap, old characters constantly being recycled, chavs that speak the language of a toilet and use too much make up/fake tan. Too many oldies on there. Although there is one girl=Ruby. Corrie: Crap storylines, some awesome girls: Marie and I forget others names. Emmerdale: Avoid, annoying fake famer storylines, although the girl in the vets is fit as f**k. That's it really, if you have a social life then please ignore this post= I was bored. Tom

Just thought I'd give my thoughts on the Federal 9 and a half days vid. What a waste of space! I wouldn't want to own that dvd if someone gave it to me. A poor follow up to Trafaelo- the only good bit is in the extras at the Decoy jam and thats only 4 minutes long! Yeah it's a fiver but thats 2 pints of cider and black. Poor excuse for a bmx video in comparison to what you can buy out there. Obviously they were short of footage as the repeated sequences of lines from different angles indicates but honestly, why bother? Tom
