Never seen a pig standing while asleep myself. They usually lay down in beds of hay and straw.

I'm using 2 fingers at the moment (With my shitty MTB with dodgy Vees) As soon as I build up my Control I'm definately switching to 1 finger

My New Site Please Give Me Your Comments

The spelling's not too good, but ah well The header background is good. The rest looks too busy though. Keep the layout simple and easy to read. A good way to improve on web design is to take bits from other sites you see and re-create it. Good site non-the-less Keep up the good work -
Yeah as I said, I have the V8's and have bailed quite alot (going too far back on backhops etc) and the pins have ripped the shit out of the soles on my shoes

Hi there, I live in Ipswich and ride with Netherking and Moto_Psycho. I've also only just started. Just learning basics on my MTB at the moment :$ Slowly building up an Echo Control though so will be up for some rides when the weather improves!!
-
I've got some DMR V8's... nice and grippy and come with a small grub screw which you can remove and inject grease into the bearings Only about £22 as well so they wont hurt your wallet too bad! And they come in different colours if you like the kind of thing Pins by the way!
-
I dunno how well they run, but they look damn nice If I was to get a tensioner I think I'd go for one (although I've heard good things about the Tension Seeker). No way would I pay £50 for the Rohloff though.

Cover your hands in Marmite... go on... try it!! If that fails just wait for them to harden up like everyone else is saying... no pain, no game!
-
Nice, I'm currently doing the same sort of thing... riding a Claude Butler Rock It's just my normal MTB so has a lock + lights on etc. I just take the seat post out, take the lights + lock off. I'm a noob so only just started hopping on the back wheel. It's pretty damn heavy and big for trials but I've got an Echo Control '07 frame on the way Hopefully it should be a bit easier to ride when it's built up
-
I've heard if you want both pistons to move at the same time you can use a splitter:
-
Nice, I think I get the point!! Can't wait to actually get the frame! Been waiting a while now since I paid my deposit... should have the dosh by 2nd week in Feb Shame I'll have no cash to actually get it built up!
-
I assume he means by catching it on stuff. Like a derailleur. Probably not that likely, but when you're starting off anything's possible!

So what are the advantages of a front freewheel? Is it gonna be one of these annoying "personal preference" jobs? If so I'll just find the cheapest option
-
I'm going to purchase an Echo Control Mod Stock frame and apparently it has 116mm spaced dropouts. Looking on TartyBikes it seems I need a 20" Rear hub. I was planning on running single speed, so will I need a hub like this or this? Looks like it's gonna cost a fair bit to get a wheel built onto this hub Also on the single speed topic... does it work like this... On the front: A crank with the threaded bit to accept a front freewheel (18t) + bashring. On the back: One of the above hubs with a screw on sprocket (15t). Or is it better to just run a freewheel on the back and fixed on the front? Sorry for all the questions... trying to do some POWER LEARNING!

I've spoken to him on MSN (email pitbullpowers@hotmail.co.uk). Did a search for that email address and it matched up to the member m-a-d_90. So dunno what's going on there. I'll have to speak to him when he's next online and ask what his user account is on here. A bit late if he is scamming me as I've already parted with £50 as a deposit. It's all good, got his Name, Address, Phone number. All checks out! Also got his Refs

Yeah I know that! But he's saying just smack the cups on to the frame... So I guess a Press Isn't needed? Seems a bit dodgy just smacking it on, could mess up the cups surely? Also on new forks won't you need to install a Star Fangled Nut? Looks easy enough with the Park Tool Threadless Nut Setter (TNS-1) - £15 on ChainReaction. A very nice guide on using this tool as well on the Park Tool website.
-
Cheers for that! I've been wanting to know how to do it for a while (as I'm hopefully soon building a bike) So you don't need a headset press tool?? Just a mallet and some wood?
-
Pics would be good! If someone sends them to me over MSN or something I can host them

I've probably made a huge mistake here but oh well! I'm buying an Echo Control '07 frame (mod stock) and an Echo drilled front rim on a Zoo Hub. £280 for the lot, None of it has ever been used. I'm just gonna buy bits as I can afford them and slowly build it up, I've always wanted to learn to build a bike so might as well do it now! I'm buying them off someone on here (m-a-d_90). Hasn't been active since April for some reason, but spoken on MSN and everything. Seems fine
-
Cheers for the ideas! I'll have to see what's about when I've got the money together. What was wrong with it? I may soon be asking for help building a bike!! (hopefully) Fyfey

Hello everyone... I'm a complete noob as well. Haven't got a bike yet I'm also from Ipswich. I ride with moto_psycho and Netherking. I'll definately be up for riding with you lot when I've got my bike in the Spring Fyfey

20, haven't got a bike yet but hey! I'm working on it! (My shitty Claude Butler is taking a beating until then )
-
I want to get a bike for about £500... I was thinking get a new frame & forks... then get the rest second hand and upgrade it later. I'm tempted to get either the Zoo! Pitbull '07 (long) or the Echo Control '07 (long), has anyone had any experience with either? And probably Tuff Guy's as they're the cheapest option (unless I can find a bargain once I have the funds). What would be the best option on brakes? I want to get HS33's front and rear as they seem good and pretty good value. Would it be worth buying these new? Might blow the budget though Frame: £300 Forks: £40 £160 for everything else Is it possible? Fyfey

Here's the cheapest truing stand I could find... looks like it'll do the job. And half the price of the Park Tool equivalent Tacx Exact Wheel Truing Stand - Wiggle.co.uk Fyfey

Damn you all with your nice bikes and youth! I'm 20, thought I'd give trials a go as I've always wanted to... gonna get a 26". By the time I learn (if I ever do) I'll be too old and frail to ride! Wish I'd done this about 5 years ago!
