  1. i wish this thread would die as easy as it's subject.
  2. naa, it's to do with developing gum disease which then spreads through the blood stream to the heart. my mum goes on about it all the time, though i'm a little skeptical.
  3. i saw it last night. i laughed a lot so it must of been pretty good. felt a bit restless through the middle but then the husky thing had me crying with laughter so i could forgive it. felt a lot more silly and edgy than the resent episodes which was a good thing imo, a lot more my kind of comedy. definitely worth watching.
  4. http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/127706 I don't really know a lot about laptops either but i bought that (on impulse) a month or so ago and it's been fine so far. I upgraded the memory to 2gb becasue i'm a tart but 1gb was fine. Vista is alright, pretty to look at and very capable, but doesn't really have any advantages over XP as far as i'm concerned. Battery life is a bit poor, I usually get like 4 hours out of it, but i have it plugged in most of the time anyway. I think key things to look for in budget laptops would be: *Processors no faster than 1.8ghz (due to battery life) *Battery Life *Ram (don't go any lower than 1gb imo) *Screen Size/Type. Mine has a sorta glossy finish to it, unlike my TFT monitor, so it can be hard to see when outside sometimes, and personally i would always want a widescreen. don't worry about Hard drive space, i don't think you'll find one with less than 80gb nowadays which should be alright unless it's gonna be used for a lot of photos/videos. Oh, and i would definitely be looking at ACER or ASUS, i wouldn't get a dell, and the cheap HP laptops usually die after 12 months.
  5. lets go with stereotypes as the most feasible explanation... farmers: no non-sense, down to earth, get on with it and keep your mouth shut. life's for living, not for moaning about. religious fanatics (the sort of people that worship bulls): must be right at all costs, far to emotionally involved, scared about what god will think, did i mention must be right at all costs?, don't care about the general well being of others as long as them and their bulls are ok. i hope the bull bites one of them and they get diseased. that'll teach em. p.s, i dunno if it came across too well in my post but, i don't care about the bull or it's owners. at all.
  6. if by goosebumps you mean a huge erection.....then yeh.
  7. sometimes when i get in my car with wet feet and change down too quick, my foot will slip off the clutch. that grinds my gears.
  8. buy grips that have an end on them, rather than just being a tube.
  9. no giant talking robots then?
  10. my mate snuck into the sore room at work and photographed the last page and then sent it to his g/f as a joke. as for me, not a fan. in the slightest.
  11. its arterys that kill you, not veins, veins are under a lot less pressure as the blood is going back to the heart so yeh you can die, but not within a few minutes like you would with an artery. how big was the piece of metal? i'm assuming it's quite small for them to leave it in? very unlucky if that's the case.
  12. i get emo after i've been drinking too,... wish i was drunk right now to be honest.
  13. it's almost a good idea in my opinion. i can see why they would implement such a rule, i see a lot of overloaded cars 'cruzin' around and they are just begging for an accident. no matter how good you think you are, you are a shit driver for at least the first few months due to lack of experience. however it's a stupid inconvenience for the rest of the youth that are actually sensible and respectful....then again those people are unlikely to be carrying a lot of passengers late at night. as said, it doesn't effect me so i don't really care, but as far as i'm concerned they should up the legal driving age to 18 anyway, and you shouldn't be allowed to pass until the age of 21 if you fail the test more than 3 times. there are FAR to many drivers around in general, we don't need even more 17 year old retards.

    Facebook

i haven't got a facebook account but from what i can tell from friends and forums it's becoming more and more like myspace. myspace is still better imo, but i only really use it to keep track of bands i like (new songs/shows/news etc) so i don't really use it like the majority do.
  15. wait i'm totally lost. what was actually forcing you to turn up at the station the next day?? they didn't arrest you, they didn't make any record of the event and surely you noticed that? so why didn't you just carry on with your life? they could hardly then turn up at your house and arrest you for nothing, or for an apparent event that happened the night before.
  16. hahahaha! d000000d, you actually did the under-the-rail-to-wall ride HAHAHA!. mega. oh man that video was sweet. all the sections were killer and just when i was thinking this can't get any better danny mac blows my face off. best one yet by a mile.
  17. woo steve a! get a new video out.
  18. red white and yellow are just RGB, not component. (RGB is like component for SCART but it's not the same as actual component cables which are the RGB equivalent of HDMI i think) yeh i confused myself a little there as-well.... anyway, i think the DVD-->SCART-->HDTV will look alright, maybe above average depending on your dvd player. the PS2-->RGB-->HDTV i would expect to look pretty dire, but it'll still be playable, just not very pretty to look at. if you are getting a flat panel anyway, then you might as-well get a HDTV one as it will look exactly the same as a standard one.
  19. yeh as far as i'm concerned. if i was buying a new tv now i wouldn't buy the one i've got. i'd probably go for a CRT again simply becasue i've got rid of all my HD using equipment. HD isn't worth the extra money if you aren't going to use it any time soon, and as i said, it'll probably give you a worse experience than the same size CRT that will cost half the money.
