Pads: monty221 xl Time used: 2 months Rim used: eho 07 - smooth Grind: No Ceraminc: No Brake used: Magura What is your opinion of a working brake: agressive bite, strong hold and loud sound How do they compare to previous pads you have used: the worst of the worst Review: were set up perfectly to start with, no sound, no bite, usless hold- couldnt gap. Started using them with tar, improved the performance alot with a nice sound and bite but after the two months one pad came out of the backing and the other was half way there. I'd never buy these pads again- just as good as magura blacks on smooth rim. Although they did have little wobble considering the plastic backing.

what do you use to de-grease it?

I never seem to hit my shins + i have virtually no pins in my pedals, i find that if you wear shoes that are sort of 'bedded in' and keep your feet roughly in the center of your pedals its fine, unless your doing crankflips.

Ive tried, the noise is like chalk on a blackboard and the hold is still pretty lame

Hi, i recenlty brought some zoo green pads and found that they are really loose fitting, this means that when im on the back wheel there is alot of wobble. I rode another pair of the same a few months ago, they had really amazing bite, sound and hold but these really arent up to scratch, ive been riding them a few days now and they still let out only a little squeak. Any ideas on improving thier performance?

Anything from stan shaw- style and extremley smooth, always picks a good tune aswell, my fav is stan winter or something along those lines

surly splined does the job fine, helps to have one with an extra wide base to stop it digging in as it would with any hub really.

I think a bb7 would be best, with a disc a bent wheel wont rub against the pads while a hs33 would, discs are harder to hit than your wheel, the stopping power of a hs33 will perhaps be better with the right pads but i find alot more can go wrong with these.
