  1. just got back in from another ride this evening, much better :) didnt bail once and rode as well as i ever do and a guy nearly crashed his van watching me riding along a rail
  2. dont take my word as law....but i think you might be sorry to be the bearer of bad news but i'd also get a seceond opinion and be patient...sometimes the postal service is just really slow!
  3. is the stuff you bought worth more than £32 and if so did he pay for postal insurance...all parcels are insured upto £32 or you can pay a couple of pounds extra for postal insurance upto £100...etc if not then you're screwed...the royal mail have all kinds of small print and disclaimers sbout 'losing' stuff!
  4. right, heres my day upto this point.... wake up...the usual breakfast, shower, brushing teeth stuff... go to school early (had to be in at 8.30 this morning) sit in the same chair in an exam hal for the best part of 7 hours doing 4 exams including maths core 1 and 2...i know i've failed already! get home and go for a ride...only to find i got a flat front tyre...dont have anyu puncture patches so fix it with with insulation tape... the insulation tape actually holds up!...then it goes bang! so i walk home with the bike to put a new tube in and all i can find is a 700c roady tube...so it's worth a try, and it's held up for the whole evening which is the only good thing thats happened all day so, riding on a bit of a dead grind at the moment, (just got back out after changing the tube!) and the first thing i do is just a back wheel up onto a wall, it's about bar height, but my brake slips and i go straight down, wind myself and look like a twat. so i get a call from a couple of mates i used to bmx with and go for a bit of a street ride with them...completely messed up a wall ride and headplanted the wall pretty hard. next we move on to this little bit where theres a bunnyhop gap...its pretty big, about 9-10ft(ish) and dinged my rim on that so im well pissed off now and my breakes feeling absolutely shite, slipping every time! so i sit down for a bit and just watch and i get a killer cramp in my calf...that was a bitch...then a group of 'chav' type people came over looking for a fight so we just walked away...not in the mood (and they were only about 12 so it wasnt really fair!) so...theres a bit of an oldschool flatbank to waste-height rail thing going on and i thought i'd go for it...had to be really careful with my brake so i was being as light and smooth as i could and landed it a few times then the rail just fell over as i back-wheeled it and i came down on the base of my spine again. so take a bit of a breather again and head upto this awesome playground place which looks like it was designed for trials riders! anyway, just went for a rolling back-wheel upto this rail thing, did it then dropped my bars a bit too low, landed on my sholdure which caned(broke my collar bone a while ago and it still plays up!) and buckled my front wheel so i went for it again and did exactly the same thing, but bailed a bit better this time anyway bit pissed off! i think if 'emo's regularly had days as bad as mine they could justify the way they mope all the time! (but there's no excuse for those fringes!) anyone else had a bad days riding/generally bad day? EDIT: spelling...and to top it off my girlfriends being gay
  5. if you can pick up an 04 echo pire frame, they ride awesomely...my frame of choice! got a seat and a low enough bb to do all thestreety stuff with manuals! i bought my frame with pashley forks, fsa orbit headset and new fsa platinum bb for £70 posted on here!! keep an eye out for one, theyre awesome!

  7. ok, thats pretty much what i got so far, need just as much as i can get out of anyone about all of this stuff! thanks! by the way, i know i should have learnt this already, just been busy with (paid)work, riding and sailing...i guess i need to put learning higher up my priority list
  8. i have my maths exam tomorow and i need to know integration, differetiation, factor theorem and completing the square really urgently... can anyone who knows these summarise them for me please, i really need this! i need to be able to remember them all for tomorow, i think im pretty happy with everything else

  10. pretty much any song off the soviettes (possibly one of the most under-rated bands ever!) first 3 LPs would be awesome for a trials video! DOWNLOAD LPIII ON iTUNES HERE specific recomendations might be: What did I do? (LPIII) Together (LPIII) (really good intro for a video!) Tonight(LPII) *THERE'S A BANANA IN MY EAR* (LPII) really good upbeat song for a video! Gotta decide (LPII)
  11. i build wheels for £5 if anyones interesdted? and dont think that i'll do a crap job because i work at a bikeshop as a wheel builder and have lots of experience!! i'd say that was a pretty good deal?

  13. mutiny spokes for mod if you want strength and value for money or you can order some primo bmx spokes in pretty colours! for the rear i recomend the monty 221Ti rear mod hub with a front freewheel. the BT rims look good, i just ordered a pair for my girlfriends bike, i'll let you know what theyre like when i get them built up...don't know when they'll get here though...depends on how quickly tarty get themselves sorted out!
  14. lots of shin damage, sprained ankle and damage to some of the sinew bits (tendons/ligaments)...not too bad really, but bmxing...broken colar bone, broken arm and kneecap shattered into 3 large pieces and some other smaller splinters...all in 2 weeks! broke my collar bone on dirt (only a fracture) so i kept on riding...week and a bit later i hooked up my front wheel allyoop airing at the skatepark came down on my arm and knee...smashed my kneecap and compression fractured my arm! that smarted a bit!
  15. i always used to kill the old tpa's, not had any problems with the new brake, but i have to admit the old levers feel nicer, the brake felt great with the magura cnc lever and a good water bleed...reall stiff and solid with a good booster!
  16. i think you want 'riding pictures'?

  18. good, nice riding...but you seem to go to bash alot?!?
