Sold it months ago. Yep, I got it yesterday. 2002 WRX STI with a 305HP Prodrive Performance Pack upgrade. 74,000 miles, recent high compression engine rebuild but tatty bodywork. Its a proper car, stupid fast. I like it.

Thanks guys. Luckily my newly grown conscious is helping me out. I've got the Subaru to take my mind off things, but railroading them into getting out and about is proving hard. And to be fair her Granda was an absolute legend.

Yesterday was my birthday and in the morning I cleaned the Subaru. It came up well. Machine polishing to commence next month. Until then I am going to continue to trash it and I will report my findings.

I'm so sorry guys but I will not be able to make it Stephanie and I had all this week booked off because it's my birthday on Thursday, and then I was going to come to the sprint day on my day off next Tuesday. We're in London at the moment, drove down yesterday and went out to the theatre and got shit faced etc. Stephanie just got a phone call saying her Grandad has stopped breathing, been rushed into hospital. Turns out he's got a really advanced cancer and it's spread to his bones. All sorts going wrong. So we are driving back up north today to see him and we are staying up all week, which is going to mean all the things I had to do this week will need to be done on Tuesday next week Sorry guys

4K M9. - Got offered 13K for my Abarth today by one of our traders, he's got a buyer looking for a red Competizione. I phoned him up to get a bid on an Elise we just took on against an MX5, and just asked him if he had anything nice. Got chatting about a few things and he said "you haven't by any chance got any Abarths coming in? I've got a customer who wants a red Competizione with less than 20K on it" so I mentioned mine and sent him some photo's over. He's a couple of nice cars in at the moment, so I'm going to pop over on Sunday and see what I like the look of. I've told him to keep his eyes peeled for an M3 for me. Got the Pop home, woo. Typically there is a 5% volume bonus for selling finance, so you get 5% of the balance. So the true cost to the dealer is actually £105... In a worst case scenario, I'm sure everyone can negotiate that.

The problem is that the bulkhead and pillar have folded in. From that that photo where the steel wing has popped out all the damage is obscured. It'll live again, no matter what. It's just a shame that's all. I was just trundling along with my girlfriend minding my own business and as I came around a 70* bend there was a set of headlights coming towards me. Swerved to avoid them and the other driver went back to his side of the road and hit me in the middle of the road. Turns out he's Bulgarian, just got back from working in London and had got off the train, got 100 yards up the road on the wrong side and went straight into me. Nothing I could have done really. On top of that I phoned a friend of mine to get the car recovered and he said he'd be there in 45 minutes and he'd pick me up for free, the police said the road had to be reopened in half an hour and that their recovery company were contracted to be there within half an hour. So I cancelled my bloke, and waited over an hour for the Police contracted recovery to turn up, they just threw a chain around the bumper and dragged it onto a low loader. So that's probably done more damage. Now I've got to pay a police recovery cost, and to get the car back to the workshop I bought another Pop yesterday to use as a donor, so it should just be man hours. What I don't know is do I claim on insurance and deal with the knock on effects, or do I take £500 on the chin and just fix it myself.
