i am loving my phat pads...backings are very nice ( i have black one) and realy quality, material fits backings perfect... also pads vorks great on hard fresh grind, but as grind is geting dead pads remains to vork great. these were my first alu backings so i cant compare them to tnn and others..... but i am sure i will not change my pads to any others

thanks for that, it is interesting technic. i would never tought of this by myself fork is year and half old. i know that all 4 bolt forks wil crack near 4 bolt mounts. i am supper happy with trialtech fork. i think i wont get it welded in the end cause ,as somebody mentioned, i think i will not be able to get my confidence while riding....... thanks for ypours replys

thats what i was wondering...would it be better to leave it as it is ( as this crack is realy small....like 1 cm near weld and it doesnt look like cracking, just line) or to get it welded? i dont have experience with welding forks.....

i know that welding will make material weaker, but i hope it would be ok for some time. i wonder if anyone did the same problem and tryed to weld trialtech fork?

hy to all. so i am runing trialtech 4 bolt 26 fork. i have noticed litle "line" near weld from upper mount on both side. i understand that forks are cracking, specialy 4 bolt magura forks. i wanted to ask if it is worth of geting it welded? ( as i cant aford new fork right now) and did anyone else did it... thanks for helping in advance

i supose it would be sky 3 than? i wouldnt put my money on that...if so why gilles and vincent arent riding that new one? also new sky 2 has just arived at some shops in europe and allready there is new model of sky? souds strange

hy to all... i am planing to buy zoo piranha 2011 frame and i am not sure if i could put my hope pro 2 trials hub.... i understand it is 135 spacing on that frame but i am asking if the integrated tensioner on that frame will work fine? i just want to be sure.... thanks in advance

pads used- phat pads in alu backings period of time- almost 5 mounths ( through the winter ) rim,brake, set up- try all hole rime with medium grind, echo tr brake mounts and magura 05 with water as i started to use phat pads in plastic backings few years ago i was happy to try new one in alu backings. mike sent them around new year and i was riding them through winter. i knew that these pads were good but i was surprised how they worked better with alu backings ( i never had alu backings). as always,during first ride they needed time to bed in but soon they starteed to work perfect. with alu backing they had more bite ad hold, and also they were stifer. when i expected them to slip they surprise me and bite. they had loud sound as i mounted them but now they are not as loud as they were, but i dont mind as long as they work good. wear life is excellent, i hawent noticed that they wore down during this period. also i have phat pads in plastic backings in front on light dead grind and they work great. sometime it seems that they work better on wet now, during the spring, i hope i will test them alot on natural this are clips that i filmed during one ride, of course using phat pads i hope i could help someone, and i apologize for my bad english

my bad , i tought these were heatsink. i saw on e bay that pads for sale, you say they are good? anyway, i was looking that rim, and il looks better and better as i keep watching

that is one of best looking bikes i have ever seen.... rear wheel looks sexy, and i think it will also last for solid period of time ( you earlyer said that it will probably wont last long) i also have that red heatsink pads, but i haven,t tried them

same as matt said...my father had problems on his road bike vith carbon stem and bar an he use "lube" that matt mentioned, i also have born carbon bar and trialtech stem so i thnk i will also have to sue that thind to prevent spining

i remember y friend had try all on piranha, and it was very tight. tyre was new and it was very very close to build in booster. but it didnt toucher booster. so i think that there is no chanse to put my kaiser, but probably maxxis 2,5 will fit hope i could help
