I got a ko3S from an 180bhp TT as kev said, and its incredible. Since fitting it, the car is MILES faster than before, it really does scare me at times now, and I've not yet gone past 1/2 throttle at all because its not mapped! I have a friend running 254bhp dyno proved with an almost identical setup to mine, and he regularly gets 40mpg on a motorway run. I'm hoping to get the same power, and more torque than him (due to a more refined setup) onoly the new shape A3's come in 2.0. the 2.0 n/a is awful, dont go there. the 2.0T is 200bhp, and a lovely engine, but the cars are much heavier, so performance is similar, although in standard form, the 2.0T is obviously a tad quicker

haha, I was going to say the same thing my kraut wagon isnt as heavy as everyone seems to think, and with 240bhp and 260lbft it doesnt hand around on the straights either! I reckon its goint to e quite a weapon when I get it finished and onto the track! I've been in Steves EG before Simon, and it was nice, but can yours really be that much different?

Is that a challenge Diet? Who thinks we should actually organise a trials forum track day? its been mentioned so many times now, why not set a date? Say castle combe spring action day? its open to all cars..... Or donnington in the new year? £99 open pit lane.... Caleb, what are you asking about the TT?

You wish oily bear! You know very well mine uses less fuel than yours, and puts out well over twice the power and twice the torque modern VAG engines rock

oh dont get me wrong, 106's are amazing to drive, and If i didnt have the mini I would look at a gti or S1 rallye as a track car! but if i had one as a dailly, I would soon loose my job, as I could never be sure I would actually make it to work 5 days a week! the miracles of a closed loop system using a recirculating DV. If i drive normally, i see around 36-37mpg on my dailly drive to work. on a long motorway run i can see 40mpg easily enough. around town, I still see around 32mpg no trouble really. Even thrashing it for a few hundred miles, it hasnt dropped below 30mpg in months. its VERY efficient

you may do, but Id rather walk than drive a french car freddo! Exactly! if its a valve war you want boys, its 5 per cylinder for the win! You may have two cam profiles, but neither of them give you any more torque than my microwave! in a modern car, anything below 200lbft is simply painful! I still say I've got the best of both worlds though, a high revving properly british home built all out track car, and a luxury 240bhp/260lbft 40mpg dai ly driver! then again, I would think that!

I took out my classic policy with HIC aged 20. 1 3rd party policy on my audi for £900, and they covered my mini on a classic, all mods declared, agreed value of 5k, fully comp, for £276 a year Give HIC a call, they absolutely ROCK!

damn it! you beat me to it. but yea, basicly, ever person i know has been told when theyre 16 that the driving age is going up to 18 'next year' i thought i was one of the lucky last 17 year olds, but of course, everyone does. google it, if theres any legislation, itll come up. it doesnt, its all questions and proposals. its not happened, and its not about to. topic closed.

ads, id say check out www.audi-sport.net its an awesome forum, loads of info about everything audi. depends on your budget really. id look into weitec stuff. its made by KW, goes nice and low, and apparently gives a good ride still.

you said it boon! i first met rowan almost 6 years ago now, and ill always remember, we were climbing onto garage roofs to drop off, and he told us,,if he cant get onto it from where hes standing, on his bike, then its not worth doing. im SO glad to see thats still the case. theres no placing the bike on top of anyhthing to start a cool move, its all just mental.... i thought you were a local legend when i started 6 years ago or more rowan, then you disappeared back off to bristol. then 3 years later, you appared again, 10x better than i ever remembered. its just not fair.

i like your thinking!!!!

Cheeky bugger cant blame you though, shes perfect you still riding a trials bike at all charlie? ive not been on mine in over a month once life here has settles down in a few weeks time, you should come and say hello i tell her every day anyway so why is she going to mind reading it on a forum
-
I know exactly what you mean poop! with my last gf, i was just there because it was easier than doing something about it. then i grew up with Tori, i still fancy her just as much now, as i did the day i met her! which is awesome, because shes damn gorgeous!

Be successful, be happy, the rest will all just fall into place. Family, children, nice house, nice car, good job, good friends. thatll do me thanks. any of the crazy stuff mentioned above is all just part of the adventure. and whats the obsession with 200mph? its just SILLY dangerous. once i doubled the national speed limit of any normal road in the UK, i gave up. i rarely ever go above 90 now, i dont feel the need.

you are one sick mother fu<ker nick........ thats not even remotely funny.

im going to have to disagree BIG TIME there chris the singlest best brake ive EVER had, without any hint of question, was an hs33, with an RB lever, koxx browns, and a D521 ceramic rim. the ceramic rim was 10X better than any grind ive come across, its power was just beyond believe. to this day ive not felt a brake that compares. even in the pouring rain, even riding in a stream, the brake still held 100% and would not slip. in the wet it was silent, but in the dry it was VERY loud. and its a mavic 521, so yea, it WILL chip off if you dent it. but its a 521.... your NOT going to dent it. also, measured on calipers, after 6 months use, of riding just about every day, my koxx browns wore less than 1mm. i only changed because i got mega tyre fold on the narrow rim.

oh god. lord, help us all..... its comming back.......

as much as your a lovely guy, and i hate to shoot you down. your wrong. if your using the original echo brake TPA, it does NOT work as it should. chances are your so fussy about brake setup being perfect, that your lucky enough not to have found this out yet! once your pads wear down a bit, and you HAVE to run a few threads worth of TPA just to get your prefered lever feel, the plunger will rotate and start to destroy the lever blade. unless the lever had been redesigned sinse i got mine a 3 months ago, then every brake out there will do it.
-
now now dan, stop making stuff up, and do a bit of physics before posting silly things a smaller slave cylinder would give a brake with less power. as pressure = force/area so if you make the slaves bigger, the total pressure exerted by the slaves on the rim goes down. this is why the RB lever had a 13mm master cylinder instead of the standard magura 14mm. both the hs33 and echo cnc brake have 14mm master cylinders and 14mm salve cylinders. the units in which the slaves are cast have a smaller body though, which as you said stops you catching your ankles quite so much. could you explain that one Inur? my deng brake has always leaked a little bit, and god knows why but i havnt sent it back..... if theres a genuine batch problem with the brakes, id like to know about it, so i can have a word with tarty about a replacement. i have to bleed mine after every ride of more than 4 hours, and it even leaks out all on its own if i leave the bike to stand for a week! yet i cant find the leaked fluid anywhere also, the TPA on the echo CNC brake is an AWFUL design, and when you apply more than a few threads of TPA, the plunger is allowed to twist, and when pulling the lever back, it chews itself up a treat. not nice. all this aside, i LOVE the brake. the lever feel is lovely, and i much prefer having some proper cncd alloy working to stop my back wheel spinning. it matches my front hope perfectly, and the slave and lever body design is spot on. its just the TPA and fludi leaking issues that hold it back i dont think id go back to an hs33 now for sure.
-
the hope has more modulation than the avid by miles, and less braking power for sure. but id still take the hope every day for sure. ive run older hopes for years, ive spent a year with an 06 hope mono trial and it was shite, ive used avid bb7's for a total of 3 years, in 165, 185, and 203 (twice) and im now back with an 07 hope mono trial, and its my favourite front brake so far without a doubt. its NOT got as much bite, or holding power as the BB7, but its far more reliable, the lever feel is nicer IMO (ive tried all lever/cable setups on the avid) and just the manner in which is slows the front wheel is all together better to me. it does slip from time to time on front wheel gaps, but thats down to my poor technique. if you can afford it, get the hope, every time. theres a good reason its twice the price. its twice the brake.

''prawn, your not ment to stab the cake, your ment to cut it'' ohps. awesome party, dont remember half of it as with every year, which means it must have been good really cool weekend, great to see everyone again after what seems like so long away. working full time sucks from that point of veiw! christmas road trip again this year boys? ending up in barny rubble for new years? sanger? host? goodo. tic: you look far too happy sat on toris lap
