  1. Urbans aren't much longer though, I'd say you want at least 10mm extra if you want to notice any real difference. Trialtechs or the Because forks are both 410mm and should make the bike handle better. Trialtech forks made my bike ride so much better compared to Urbans, probably the best purchase I've ever made for my bike.
  2. That should work? Any youtube vid you can download via www.keepvid.com and it lets you choose the quality. That site won't work for the Sun exclusive video, but if you read the thread I've added a download link in there somewhere. No HD version for that or the April '09 video though
  3. I haven't owned an Inspired but my 24" had exactly the same geo on paper as a Fourplay. It was definitely harder to bunnyhop compared to all the short stock bikes I had used over the years. But then it was also easy to spin and throw around and more fun to ride in general.
  4. 190mm is a special size for certain forks like Koxx which have a +30 disc mount. What brake do you use? If you have a 180mm rotor now then the next size up will be 200 or 205mm. And yes you will need an adaptor.
  5. Heavy and expensive, sounds great I really don't think you can beat MG1s on an all round balance of weight, durability, price and comfort. I've had my current set for over 2 years and they are still running great. You can pick them up off Ebay for £26 as well which is ridiculously cheap!
  6. It's ok I'm only messing, I've been riding bikes almost as long as you've been alive so I'll let you off
  7. Yeah because at under 500grams the Small block 8 must have really thick sidewalls, clearly the tyre Damon was talking about
  8. The blind leading the blind, oh how this place amuses me. Damon clearly said Kenda Blue Groove (which Tarty don't list) and not the small block 8! About 20 seconds with Google and I found this, it's not rocket science
  9. Well if its already on the market as well, you might be better putting efforts into a different idea?
  10. Yes, but none of these come with Shimano hubs. No not really. A lot of hubs use similar designs, but they are different enough for the freehubs to not be interchangeable. Even on Shimano hubs alone there are literally dozens of different freehubs available...
  11. The only people this would be relevant for are beginners who have bought cheap full builds to get them started. I can't think of any off the shelf trials bikes that come with a rear Shimano hub though. Not many bikes under the £500 mark come with Shimano hubs anymore because there are cheaper alternatives. Those alternatives can vary a lot in freehub design and so a Shimano adaptor wouldn't work on them. Also if you have more than £500 to spend on a first bike then chances are you can buy something that already comes with a decent freewheel. Its a nice idea that may have been useful to guys riding years ago. I remember being on a Shimano hub for some time and most of my friends using them at some point. But these days I think it's rare that anyone would use one as they really aren't that common on entry level bikes.
  12. I'm trying with Wireshark, but failing so far
  13. See to me, the music made that video. It's such a stirring and emotional song I thought it really added to the epicness of it all.
  14. This is obviously one of the best trials videos ever made and some of the best riding we are ever likely to see, but... Did anyone else not enjoy it as much as his April '09 vid? I certainly felt it was lacking the feel of that video which made me disappointed. It's almost like they didn't get what made that video such a massive hit in the first place, it certainly wasn't just the riding. There's always one miserable old git that moans . On the plus side the riding was awesome with a very healthy dose of trials. Despite the BMX elements that was very much street trials to me and I don't think many riders could do half of the lines.
  15. Just to add, I've snapped a set of Gusset bars as well. They were the Prison-R bars, I don't know if they were weaker than yours but they were still damn heavy. I wasn't that impressed with them though, and have managed to snap most bars that others think are strong. My Inspired bars seem really good though and have lasted well so far, I don't think you will be disappointed
  16. ? Unless you want to try and bodge some magnets to fit and glue them into place then you will have to buy some new pistons.
  17. Whoops my bad, I stand corrected. I highly doubt you will be able to buy just the magnets on their own though. Maybe a good opportunity to replace the pistons and seals, or just send it off to Hope and let them service it for you.
  18. Good to see that he is still human after all.
  19. They don't use magnets, they have a small spring between the pads. If you have that already and they are still rubbing then it could be anything from; caliper not aligned, pads worn at angles, siezed pistons, worn caliper piston seals, fork disc mount not faced correctly, too much fluid in the the system or a sticky master piston seal.
  20. No one should be that good on an Orange Zero, impressive stuff!
  21. OK granted, some of what he said was bullshit . I guess I just have always liked the idea of a decent voice over in a video, to make it connect with more people. I have really enjoyed the Danny Mac trailers for his new vid, because its not all about the riding. They have focused more on the whole experience and what it means to him which I find a lot more interesting. Yeah I felt that, it was definitely a half arsed video compared to what Ryan is capable of.
