  1. Quite clearly "No rush though." Northern mother translating for me.
  2. No still has the option Its ok but its a trixie, if your gonna get a fixie don't get one designed for bmx style stuff.
  3. I'm not sure Mark, i'm seeing a foot an the wood aswell.
  4. That last gap? Did this guy find newton and kill him? Or was it more of a gap to imminent death? Even if he didn't make it thats still one hell of drop, the gap just makes it more insane!
  5. Hah yeh the rear one, it is completely backwards.
  6. It was ok for the first few minutes but one can only take so much spinning, good rider by all means. Shame the BFMV at the start didn't continue though..
  7. Yes it does exist a member on the forum sells it, i can't quite remember who but it may be Alex Dark. Its obvious that smaller tubes are stronger, more material in a smaller area, smaller circles are always going to be stronger than big ones but that is designed for the downtube. The carbon thing is obviously only going to offer certain protection and like the armadillo mainly fram scratching.
  8. My suggestion and this is only a suggestion would be to avoid them. They don't do your forks any good at all.
  9. Awesome stuff the jealousy about not being there just gets worse and worse...

  11. looks like this wont be happening then.
  12. I'll commision you to build me frames. Build bikes. + Daveys business skills. + ???? = Profit.
  13. I'm sorry but if he takes that advice he'll loose knwledge rather than gain it. Maguras require more maintenance than disk, the pads wear far quicker so the brake needs to be adjusted to take this into account, the pads are far more difficult to align so it takes alot more time. They are ok on smooth rims but if it gets wet your probably going to be wanting a disk. Dual disk is great on mod there is nothing that says you shouldn't and it is deffinatley not a bad idea in anyway. You talk about sharp breaking, disk brakes are great for one thing, they have more modulation than maggies, this means they aren't as sharp to start with. Hydro disks are no better than mechanicals if set up correctly infact i much prefer mechanicals they feel much more solid and more feel to the braking as your physically conected to the brake. Vee's are amazing brakes, if you set them up well they will out perform most other brake setups. You do not need to change a frame to run magura's you buy an EVO 2 adaptor. It seems like you were just talking for validation votes there and giving some not brilliant info. This above is only a vague insight but it is how each works.
  14. I remember seeing this first time around aswell, still seems pointless.
  15. No it can be done on a mod, its just harder.
  16. If it wasn't fixed i'd love it.
  17. amazing!!!!!! been waiting for you to finish it for ages. How much does it way and how does it feel strength wise. You did a fine fine job with all that machine work, looks so pro.
  18. ~Yes do it, a second hand frame and rear wheel might cost you less than a new rear wheel.
  19. Overkill? I mean not in the bad way but yes. WANT, i had my eye on a standard one but turns out it was more rust than it was car... Yer to be honest my micra has more off road ability on grass than that lada sometimes. was a little scary when lowering boats down slipways. If the ground was slippery it wasn't happening, even with all manor of a/t and r/t tyres. There so light.
  20. I knew it was one of his videos i'd seen . Its one of those videos that makes me think, whats the damn point haha, he can show me up on a roadie...
  21. 1handedluke get back to me... your looking suspicious and multi tasking male get your brake posting sorted! I really hope Gav is ok no one needs more of this especially in this community

  22. Oh no i agree they're good of road except for wet grass, especially long wet grass, or just long grass, my dads liked to just eat it then explode quite regularily, he had 2 ladas, a samara and one of the above, both went pop eventually.
  23. Yes, the big old hill minus the bright coloured volvo jackets.
  24. Export prices from: £7,695 (collected from London) Thats impressive very much so, but its still russian and they still get confused by long grass.
