Is it the older one with the threaded axle, you need like a 10-11 or 12 mm allen key. look down the hole where the axle should be you should be able to see a hexagonal hole rather than a round one. If not then its seized.Concider sending it to hope.

Right i technically have a holiday home in dalby forrest. Me and a few friends are going down in the holidays and want more people to come with. My holliday home can sleep 5 in beds / sofas and another 3 or so on the floor. Its also on a camp site that takes tens and has caravans for hire so we're not limited to a number of people. I need to come up with dates so if your interestd and free in the summer holiday give me a yes and some dates, then i'll compile the best dates and get it arranged. First come get the places remaining in my house the next will have to sort camping will sort it out with the owner nearer the time. Information / rules. 1. Any damage on the site or to my house will have to be paid for. 2. I only have 5 seats so people will have to find ways to get there. 3. Food wont be provided so everyone eill have to find there own or starve. 4. The caravan site is 5* it isnt ridiculously expensive but it isn't cheap. 5. There are toilet facilities on site and a small shop. 6. The camp site is 10 minutes away from a morrisons and 15minutes away from scarborough sea front. 7. have fun. Sorry but i've got to side with Mark. If there is no movement at all in the stem then things are just going to snap if you bail, the movement thats their even if its not alot, could be enough to save your bars/ stem. Many of the companies have doubtlessley thought of this and dismissed it, the machining costs would also increase the price of forks and stems. You'd be either loosing weight and strength from the cutouts or gaining weight to maintain the same strength. This is why things are good as they are, threaded headsets went away for moving to much, splined ones obviously haven't turned up because there is no movement, threadless stems are hopefully here for a while.
