  1. I would say... no. The observation of gravity, the bending of light around a gravitational field or the effective non-existence of electrons in the physical sense has nothing to do with instinct.
  2. And I instinctively knew about the theory of relativity the value of Pi and the basics of quantum physics. Honest.
  3. Beyond certain very basic things such fear leading to a fight or flight instinct, I think it's pretty much impossible for anything to be considered instinct in the way I think you're getting at. Any kind of decision or belief in something has to have been based in some kind of teaching (either direct or passive) leading to a conclusion in your own head. It's impossible to instinctual know that licking your finger and sticking it into a live socket will sting a little but it only takes a child to observe caution in another child or adult to understand the notion that there's something there which you maybe need to respect/fear. Not really wanting to cause a religious debate () I would also say that it is completely impossible to instinctively believe in God (or Santa or the Tooth Fairy for that matter). Anyone who does so has been introduced to the concept, most likely at a young age, and taken it from there. The only possible way you can look at it from an instinctive perspective is to consider that Human nature makes us quite an inquisitive species eager to learn and experience things. In that sense we are bound to question things around us- which is the basis of science and of course, at the opposite end of the spectrum, religion. Don't 100% agree with that, purely on the survival 'instinct' or fight or flight. Animals have instincts- I wouldn't consider a baby rabbit to be applying its previous knowledge of vehicles when it finds itself caught in headlights- it is acting purely on instincts in an attempt to survive. I daresay procreation is probably fairly instinctive too...
  4. He could also have been reading the forum for literally years before actually becoming a member .
  5. I think he needs bigger wheels.

That was really good- some very inventive lines in there and excellent riding/filming/editing/musac/crashes etc. Ali C truly is a monster!!
  7. Represent! My 940C is still going strong too. I really don't get on with the 5740 I 'replaced' it with and would much rather use the old beast.
  8. Specsavers still do everything on paper too. I think they'd have to fax it or post it anyway...
  9. Reason 4572 why I really hate Apple.

That's what I said. As a Global Superstar I've started talking about myself in the third person. "Danny Mac would like a bowl of blue Smarties", "Danny Mac said he wanted a foot AND A HALF long Sub, not a foot long. YOUR FIRED! YOUR FRICKIN' FIRED."

Woo! I'm in the trailer in the same shot as Danny Mac! Ordered .
  12. Christ Euan, you are progressing so damn fast!! Very very impressed- hope you can make it to the playday on the 17th.
  13. What frame's that? Looks kinda Inspired 26"ey...
  14. Yup. Andy Green uploaded them all onto Vimeo I think. Edit: Link
  15. Hey Dan, first up you really need to take everything in this thread with a large pinch of salt. All replies were in jest but I can see that they do come across as personal and for that I apologise. I should say that I have no problem with you and we get along just fine. However, I must say that the way you conducted Trials-UK in the final few years was completedly unacceptable and you must see that you were royally taking the piss out of the community we've both been part of for many years. In that aspect I must say I lost a massive amount of respect for you as a person and I hope you can understand that. With regards the comments about cars, that's basically going back to my school friend who could probably have killed himself and anyone else in the car in other circumstances with that Impreza and that was only a 2 litre non turbo. Maybe you are 100% safe and sensible but I think for 99% of young guys, if given an R8 they'd wrap it round a tree within a week and I still stand by that. If you reread that last sentence in the quote, I'm saying that I'd expect to be hated by others (chavs and general low lifers) rather than me doing the hating. That's not to say that I'm a little jealous of you but I certainly don't hate on success.
  16. Humorous and random as that is, I'd actually say it's actually not far from the truth. In my mind, anyone who types like a retard may not even understand the concept of the 'post office' an I would never buy anything off someone who types like they have the IQ of a PE teacher.
  17. I was riding BMX and trials and struggling to switch quickly between the two so thought I'd try the 24" thang. When the Inspired was introduced I just had to have one and was immediately the most comfortable I've been on any bike. Still loving the same batch 1 frame!
  18. They're all in the first post. Completed bike near the end.
  19. Not really, it's a problem with using Word for Mac and then transferring to a different version of Word for PC. If the original file were made in Word for PC all of JD's clients (who probably mainly use PC's like most of the world) would be able to print their invoices. To be fair, if I worked for MS I'd probably deliberately write little bugs like that into Mac versions of the software just to be bloody awkward... just like Apple seem to be so very good at!
  20. Please tell me there's a seat-tube of sorts in there somewhere?... Otherwise I can see it being kinda noisy to ride as the toptube clangs against the downtube everytime you do anything!
