    Pad Reviews

Try running magura blacks on a harsh grind then lol. You can almost watch them wear out lol! EDIT: I have quite a few reviews for pads I will be putting up here soon.
  2. Right, I came to take the stem of my mod and one of the bolts has rounded and wont come out. I believe it is aluminium and is on a try-all nuc stem which means that the bolt is kind of sat inside a hole and is difficult to get to if I were to try cutting the bolt and then using a screwdriver. Anybody got anytips?
  3. I was only going to enter a few a year, and I would much rather be going to a moto comp and riding rather than standing around watching people on push bikes. If and when I do compete I won't mind missing a few because I will be riding.
  4. I have recently been considering going and entering a few comps. But I really don't know what to expect, what sort of difficulty/level of riding would i be looking at to compete? Being a moto-trials rider I know that my nearest club is the huddersfield falcons, what are these like? I suppose I will need another ACU license for it as well? Anybody got any videos of comps for me to have a look at? And before people say just get your ass over to one and watch I ride moto-trials every single sunday so finding the time/right date is tough.
  5. Looks pretty dam good for a t-pro! Keep the green wheel it looks rather cool, try and get a rear matching one and i noticed you have been looking for some forks, well make sure they are black

Very cool well worked video, I loved it
  7. As far as I know I don't think they do.
  8. I would reccomend 20" for you seen as it will be easier to learn on, do you have any other sort of biking background such as bmx or downhilling as these can effect which will be more suitable.
  9. I haven't really tryed anything else but i run 18:16 with 165mm cranks which to me is just right. It is probably very similar to 18:15 with longer cranks.

    Brake Help

IMO a hayes brake isn't entirely suitable for trials but should do the job. What size is the hayes you bought? Like rotor size etc?I don't know much about the forks so might not to be able to help much there. Are they post or ISO mount?
  11. Oh fair doos, what was the moto-trials scene like where you live, like good spots/comps? Looks like the new video may have to be put on hold at the moment, the weather is currently really bad, I am going to be starting school again soon and I seemed to have done some damage to my shoulder I have one clip though so at least I have made a start and I have lots of lines to do, just need to get out and do them!
  12. Ali C's quote speaks the truth I think, I have a question to ask too though. In most cases of sponsorship who aproaches who first? I would have thought it was the riders who get aproached first most of the time?

  14. Yeh it was a moto-trials sort of fun weekend with an arena trial in which was great fun. Get the old montesa out of retirement and have some fun!
  15. I might get the paint off the wheels but only because it has a few scratches in, I am not really too baothered about a matching front tyre to be honest. Thankyou and I agree it is AWESOME! Updated first post with new pictures!
  16. Being a moto-trials rider I had some PJ1 chain lube (the type that turns really sticky) After leaving it for about 15mins to dry my trialtech grips are rock solid where as before they slipped down the bars. Also ensure that your bars and inside of your grips are nice and clean.
  17. Thanks for all the help was much appreciated. Took it to moto-trials weekend and there was an arena trial with cars and skips etc. I have one or two pics which I will upload later.
  18. I ride chainless, NOT!!! It is in now. I was thinking that but I kinda like it now Yeh the video should be able to verify, feels strange to me but am finding things a lot easier already Yeh sprocket is changed now, yeh i like the orange line lol. And thanks
  19. Yeh I have the chain on now and a different sized rear sprocket to that in the pics. I don't fancy changing the tyre atm partly because it has really good tread on but mostly because I am skint
  20. Got a bit fed up of mod and I couldn't find a nice replacement frame, then this popped up and i couldn't resist. Being Ali C's old frame I hope it will give me some magical riding powers I had a bit of a play today in the brief period that it wasn't raining and first impressions were very good but this being my first stock it is going to take some getting use to. I hope to start filming the second part to my mod v stock video next week so keep your eyes peeled in the video section.. Also it is a lot lighter than i thought. Comments please. EDIT: A few of me riding it at the weekend... Please excuse the use of no helmet, I left it at home like a baboon and the pictures don't really show much. And some moto-trials pics if that interests you!...
  21. I love the colour of the pure, also looks very clean and nice. And the simtra is cool too.
  22. What grinds are people running with these pads though? and what setups i.e if a booster might somehow make a difference?
