    Bald Rock

That was a great bit of footage.
  3. I was going to say i remember washing out on a Hot S on a XC bike when i was younger. There is a glaring fact that i recognise the Try-all tyre is grippy. Im not that bothered about it wear rate. I was on the search for another tyre that might be out there as a alternative because there is a big cycling industry out there and maybe someone from the forum had a answer. The choice of a Try-all tyre is not that i don't like it but more that i wanted a option before making a final choice. Might get a Try-all sticky and get a blade to chop it down a bit. @ around the £30 mark its the way it looks i will go.
  4. Doing a mod to a tyre makes me feel like i have purchased the wrong tyre as it should be the right tyre for the job in the first place. Its looks like this is the tyre that might have to be use. So no other choice out there to meet the challanges of natty for 26"??
  5. I have been using a 2.2 conti mountain king on and off now for years. I know it is not the best for grip but does hold really well to abuse. Im looking for more grip. Which the mountain king is a bit to hard for some natty and is really frustrating trying to keep grip on angled rocks and stuff. I want to keep it the same size and under 530grams What other tyres are out there. I saw the tryall shift tyre but the side walls look pants and this put me off it but the grip i can see is pretty good. Hope some one can help. Much appreciate it.

  7. Thomas ride some awesome lines further into the vid in a derelict building. This inpulse vid is my fav so far.
  8. This is great news. I love the fact Abel has climbed the comp ladder to being one of the best in the world after many years training. This is like the icing on the cake. Congrats Abel. I feel that he is in such a great position to work and ride with Monty. Its pretty good timing in his career to for this move. If a rider was to now step into the shoes of top spanish riders in the monty family it should be Abel. Ot, Cesa, Dani, Kenny and now Abel. Im not forgetting the rest of the monty riders but there is something special about Abel. Early days. I think i know where i'm placing my bets for 20" in the years to come. look forward to hearing some more news of this change.
  9. Dan that was a really good vid of you. Like joe said " Hurry up summer" ha ha. Some techy lines in there. I think 1.40 was pretty sweet move.

    Abel Mustieles

look like it is silly light and keep rigid response with the power Abel puts into it.
  11. What a lad your boy was. I remember having such a laugh with him on oxford rides and hanging out with all the locals. He always brought such a good vibe along with him. Such a shame it was a friendship cut short. A very personal memory is the last time i saw DJ at the bike show in 2004. I would keep looking up into the stands where him and his mates had sat down to watch some of us battle it out at the bike show. I could spot him a mile off with his massive set of hair. AMAZING. Amongst all the noise and excitement I would just take a look at him and realise DJ is keeping it real. Which made me full of confidence and i applied that in my riding. I never got to see DJ again after that. But that memory of him sitting and cheering for all us riders was cool. Im sure they where the loudest bunch too. A fellow rider edited this video called Matt Barlow. However, who ever filmed this from the stands must of been sitting right next to him. It makes me feel like i'm slightly watching through the eyes of DJ. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BVLzOJQ1a-Y
  12. Ha Ha agree. Will this frame be on podium next year at UCI? Who's riding it Joe???
  13. Yer i agree its not a exciting vid. It just has some footage of a good rider with some standard edit. I got bit carried away with calling it Sweet and Crisp. Maybe it should of been something a bit less.
  14. Danny Caldron with this sweet crisp bit of footage he has put together.
  15. Dude i heard about the shoulder. That sucks. Get better soon. The vid was awesome. I saw the spot where i use to walk to school at gillotts. Well found. So going to ride there next time in Henley. How long are you out for??
  16. Going up for a chat about this on the 26th of december. Will have some info soon. That sounds great.

  19. In the name of Dappy from N-dubz "Na Na Na" Slight wires crossed with what i said. I was listing factors of what could be fade issues. Not a blame directly against Hope the brand. Ha Ha. I love them guys. No i really doo. Since i was little lookng through glass cabinets in small independant bike shops. Simps you remember that night we did Kicker comp at RadFest i think i have one of your CD's still you blasted away in my car on a different note.
  20. Hey guys bit of info to try and clear up any thoughts about this topic to best i can. The bike in question was private sale between me and mike as I was in a position to help him out. Que dices hombre? I know of only 2 distributors active in the UK and another one on its way but no sole distributor. So does that mean you can't order them from another country through mail order site who have ordered them from the Echo factory ? Nope neither buddy. www.radicalbikes.co.uk check the site see what they are about. Mikey (Azarthal) mentioned his Brake mount issue earlier. It's a classic lacquer lump that needed a soft rub of a small file to get to the flush surface of the mount. It went through a thorough mechanical service of being put together and the alignment was questioned but when it was gently pressed against the rim it lined up perfectly. This must have meant that the pad had a bit more pressure being applied to it on one side than we could see. Now fully resolved. If you're wondering how i got hold of a this bike, it came from a friend in China. I'm not on a live website and selling as a distributor. Nor do i intend to sell echo as a distributor. This was a private sale between me and Mike. Just to lay an idea to rest that Ali might or might not have implied: the bike had nothing to do with Dan Ko. (P.s Give us a holla, dude and let's catch up. Drop us a phone number pal in my inbox). Cheers Jack Any itchin' questions or issues anyone feels I have not made clear, let me know. I will try to reply.
  21. If you go to www.radicalbikes.co.uk and send them a direct email and discuss this with them they will advise you as best as they can. It has taken a lot blood sweat and tears to get where barrow farm has got. different projects regarding setting this idea have different factors to take into consideration. Mission statement, Funding, community, longevity, usage ect. I highly recommend a chat with with radicalbikes. Maybe they can help.
