Everything posted by tomturd

  1. I posted about 40 earlier today. There's a good chance yours were in there
  2. If I have replied to your PM with the words along the lines of 'posted and ready to go', then they have been sent!
  3. The ones that were just you an aener flaming each other? I deleted them. I'll probably delete this one, and your one, soon too. haha
  4. I'll be honest, Ive only posted out that first batch so far. Anyone who missed out on that batch (about 10) and anyone who has messaged me their name and address since... Well, I haven't posted them yet but I will do soon. I'm so disorganised I was sort of hoping that most people would have put their address into the form a while back. Ive posted about 80, have about 30 waiting to go, and 9 left. So be quick if you want them Nobody has got the same amount of stickers, and I was running out of the logo ones near the end. So if you do have some spares please share them out. Sweet, got it, thanks a lot! That goes for everyone else who has donated too, much appreciated
  5. Not true we've never opened up donations before! That's probably why you couldn't find the link... Cheers for the donation, btw, much appreciated
  6. It's just an automatic thing. Basically means on day one of signing up they can only make 3 posts. On day 2 you become a full member and can post as many times as you want, no need for intervention I don't think
  7. Mike, are you on twitter? Complaining on twitter seems to be a good way to get some big companies attention.
  8. There is no validation process any more (if that's still mentioned on the site somewhere please let me know where it is so I can remove it). You can sign up and post anywhere you want. The only limit is that until you have made 5 posts in total, you will only be able to make 3 posts per day.
  9. I did my bathroom floor, and I've done patios in the past, and tiled my bathroom. My advice would be not to try and even things using adhesive! And more generally, not to start with an uneven surface for any sort of tiling - i wish i got my bathroom skimmed before i started tiling it, it only takes one tile to sit proud of the others before you get into a whole world of pain trying to get the others (on all sides) to match up. Google for 'floor levelling compound' or something like that. It's a very runny cement which you pour onto the floor and with a bit of help it should find its own level. You can get it in wickes. Theres some saying about preparation being the key to doing stuff, certainly applies to tiling. As for adhesive, any should do really. I used wickes flexible fast set adhesive but that's because I was laying tiles onto a wooden floor (with tile backing board screwed onto it), but it costs a bit more and shouldn't be needed for a solid floor. Mix it yourself stuff is generally considered to be better and cheaper, 'bal' seemed to be the brand that the professionals used.
  10. Haha, I know some forums do it but it annoys me when I see a site and it seems like their main aim is to make a quick buck. I don't feel so bad about it this time round as we've put quite a bit into these stickers. More than expected, anyway (did you know a second class stamp is 50p now? Luckily I had about 100 left over from when they were 26p No wonder people don't send letters any more) If you want to donate you can PayPal us at paypal(((@)))trials-forum.co.uk - obviously remove the brackets!
  11. Not sure if I can see it to be honest, unless the name on your PayPal account is different to the name you put down for stickers?! We've had a few donations, not sure if you want to remain anonymous, but I know who you are (well, except one actually!). Each and every one is really appreciated, thanks! On the sticker front, running pretty low now. I have about 15 filled envelopes left, but after that, that's it!
  12. Free! PM me your name and address. Sweet, if you want to donate you can paypal us at paypal[at]trials-forum.co.uk Totally up to you though!
  13. You utter, utter legend! Thanks! The trip to the post office tomorrow will be much more bearable. Luckily most of the stamps I used I bought about 4 years ago when they were 26p I'm not sure but I don't think yours is posted yet, I ran out of stamps... I'll try and get it in the post box tonight, sorry! Hah, I'll have another look in a bit but I'm already out of ideas. I'll try resetting your password again.
  14. Ah, that poll is totally out of date If you want stickers now just PM me your name and address - the poll means nothing any more really!
  15. Thanks Jonny, and thanks again for the pointers in getting them sorted. Send me your paypal address - some of your sample stickers have gone out to members so let me pay for them sweet. no worries! If you want to donate you can do with paypal - paypal[AT]trials-forum.co.uk
  16. I guess you asked for extra? I was sort of putting 2 trials-forum.co.uk ones, 1 sheet, and 3 or 4 logo style ones in each envelope. If you asked for extra then I doubled them up, please share around if you have some spare! That'll save me doing some posting
  17. Yep, same goes for everyone, just PM me your name and address. I'm running out of the individual coloured logo ones, but have loads of the sheets of tiny stickers and the ones that say "trials-forum.co.uk"
  18. If you didn't fill in the form a while back then PM me your name and address
  19. Yeah I saw that in the comments. Only fools post April fools on the 31st of March I don't see how it can be done, apart from maybe a stem with a pivot in it. That sounds really dangerous though, hah.
  20. Daily mail article complete with hilarious comments http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2198485/Dann-MacAskill-New-video-shows-trials-bike-stunts-San-Francisco.html
  21. 3 hours of non stop cutting and packing and they're in the post box! (well, all but around 10 - ran out of stamps, there were some foreign addresses so I need to go to the post office anyway). Now, thinking about it I may have been giving some people grey stickers instead of green. Grey wasn't even an option on the spreadsheet so I got majorly confused as to what my "g" code meant. feck. The good news is, if you put down green and grey, then there is a 100% chance you'll get one of them Beer time!
  22. This is true. I don't think me and Danny are going to be able to retire off it! But just for clarity, read sport/forum (for example, "TF" has paid for these stickers). Basically I don't see us taking the cash and spending it on booze and hookers. If it means in the future that we portion off some of the subscription revenue and team up with some retailers to offer free postage for subscribers, or help get some equipment for a competition or event, or donate some prizes to some sort of competition, then that'd be pretty cool. That's purely speculative though, so don't quote me on it!
  23. yep yep Going to have to go over this thread and pick out any special requests. But I should be able to get at least some of them in the post today or tomorrow (isitafox first of all, of course )
