  1. Looks cool. Loads of space! We're looking for a new place, but everywhere is so expensive
  2. For boots, they say 'they need to be small', but in my experience that just leads to pain. Your toes I guess should feel like they're up to the end, but not cramped. The main thing is to make sure your heel doesn't lift out of the boot much, again in my experience you'll never find boots that completely hold your heel in solidly, a little bit of heel movement is fine for me. If you're renting a board then you could get boots too. If you dont like them you can take them back (absolutely don't just think 'feck it, too much hassle, its only 3 more days..' - they only get more painful!) and get different ones. Quite often the rental places have brand new/very new boots for you there. Boots and trousers look good I'd be tempted to upgrade your gloves though. I lost my "mid range/regularly wet and cold gloves" and was reluctantly forced to spend 60 euros on some new ones in the resort (cheapest they had) but they're f**king amazing and they give me joy every time I wear them.
  3. I've always got most of my snowboarding stuff from a retail outlet thingy, http://www.mcarthurglen.com/uk/cheshire-oaks-designer-outlet/en/plan-your-visit/getting-here/ I'd recommend: a jacket from helly hansen/oneill/billabong/vans/tog24 trousers from the same places base layer from helly hansen (a lifa one) socks from helly hansen gloves from somewhere - don't skimp on these, cold hands all day is shitty. goggles from either one of those shops or the internet, they cost a flippin fortune in the resorts - as do gloves. helmet you can rent or go without (although that is not a cool thing to do nowadays) Reckon you could pick the lot up for £200 in that mc arthur glen place, otherwise you might be looking at £200 for a jacket alone in a normal shop. For a beginner I'd also recommend an arse protector/impact shorts - strongly recommend in fact, unless you have a particularly large arse. For my first week I was always falling, my tail bone was hurting to the point where I was dreading doing too fast and falling on it again. EDIT: also consider getting a jacket with little sock bits that go over your hands, if you can. it stops snow going up your sleeves when you fall over. Sounds stupid but even a little bit of snow could be enough to break a man who is attempting to learn the oneill jackets normally have them.
  4. ignoring whether you're trolling or not, please dont post shit. onwards..
  5. hehe, no worries (its not too bad.. who was it who posted a screenshot of their broken laptop screen? hehehe)
  6. I think you've probably got a virus or spyware or something. If you're using internet explorer then switch to google chrome and run a spyware scanner thing (spybot search and destroy is the one i think I used to use)
  7. I've just allowed the 'docx' file type, that might be it. If not, can you save as a PDF and try that?
  8. hmmm, nope shouldn't be skimlinks, i dont think its been on the site since danny upgraded - even do it shouldn't be linking text Rich J - got a link to the post?
  9. Umerrrm, will take a look. worst case, i can zip up your videos and give you a link, we've never deleted any will have a look next time i'm logged onto the server
  10. hehe, thanks Mike I'm paid to do work so that takes priority I'm afraid. There is a server error somewhere along the lines, but it will take some debugging of the codes to work out what the issue is - I've taken a quick look already and its not a straight forward fix. It's going to take me at least 30 mins or so and, at the moment, I don't have 30 mins spare to solidly spend on it, but I'll take a look as soon as I get the chance.
  11. when you do a quick reply, try clicking the top left button to switch to either fancy or plain text editor, not sure if it'll make any difference but worth a try. EDIT Ah, just edited your post and i can see the problem: Don't actually post a clickable link to the video - just literally paste the URL to the video in your reply - don't click any buttons.
  12. I think you must have disabled your PMs at some point? I've reenabled them now anyway Which Word pages did you try to download? What error do you get when you try to upload an image?
  13. I suspect the power (or lack of) is the issue, rather than the number of things you have plugged in. According to the ever reliable yahoo answers, you can either plug in 144, 6-8, 124 or 127 devices into a single usb port. source: http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080624153116AAJrQRe
  14. Can you try without the &feature=youtu.be bit at the end? (still an issue, but as least we can narrow it down a bit)
  15. optimise bin bags - something to stop them caving in on themselves just as you're trying to scrape something rancid into them.
  16. You're in a good position, I'd hesitate to say not everyone can do this, good on you for doing so! I'm guessing you made some good contacts when you were working for a company? Up until a year ago I'd have said I want to own my own business, but I do now - well a 1/4 of one anyway Maybe up until 3 years ago I'd have said I want to live in a jungle (ok that would still be nice), but more recently I've accepted that I quite like things how they are. Its really boring but I like routine, I like having a cup of coffee in the morning (actually I f**king love it), I like doing normal stuff. In the future, I would like a house, of any size, as long as it has a bunch of land, so I can build an awesome treehouse and a shed and live in the middle of nowhere. I'd like somewhere where I can melt bronze and make things, and also to go gold mining, and not have to do too much work. That'd be cool.
  17. How do you know you have a corrupt key? Not that I expect anyone under the age of 50 to fall for it, but watch out for spyware that claims you have non existant issues/viruses that need to be fixed immediately!
  18. Switch to the plain text editor (top left button on the post thingy)
  19. Do you not have this option? (click 'more reply options' when replying)
  20. <blockquote class='ipsBlockquote'data-author="Revolver" data-cid="2475653" data-time="1356653758"><p> The thing that pops up whilst you're typing to let you see when someone's snaked your reply, it doesn't seem to work in chit chat.</p></blockquote> test found a fix for this - http://community.invisionpower.com/resources/guides.html/_/knowledge-base/341-editor-parser-updates-r262 bit busy atm but will apply it later today
  21. I think, what he means, is stealing from rich people (corrupt thieves 99% of the time) is acceptable (ish), but stealing from family is very bad. Which... although I generally feel being a thief is bad, I can kind of see where he is coming from. I've been to Russia and saw the corruption myself, and it's easy to see why someone living there would feel that way. Imagine driving to b&q or wherever and being stopped and having your documents checked by corrupt policemen on the way in and out of every major town along the way, getting 'fines' for anything and everything, its nuts. we're lucky to live here. As for the thread itself, is there a chance you're smoking too much weed and getting paranoid? I've certainly accused people of doing things they haven't done in the past, and its a shitty feeling when you realise you're in the wrong, so I'd say, be 100% sure before you do anything
  22. hopefully just fixed it, thanks for the report! mr rainbird, i've also disabled the thing That Capitalises Topic Titles
