  1. Send them back and get a replacement?
  2. I've just restarted apache and named (the DNS deamon), fingers crossed...
  3. Google. This isnt homework help.
  4. There still might be a few DNS problems working through. If its still happening in a week of so let me know and i'll investigate further.. (not been happening to me though )
  5. Nope. We can only find out how many visitors we get from other 'real' sites. When you go to one of those addresses, you dont get redirected as such, its a direct link, so we cant measure it.
  6. I snapped it up a while back, along with http://www.bike-forum.co.uk. No plans to use it but it was available for £6 so thought I may as well. http://www.trialsforum.eu and http://www.trialsforum.net are also ours now. Again, no plans to use them, just nice to have. EDIT: theyre not advertised anywhere or anything either, so you wont find them on google. Theyre just site pointers.. so no need to worry about kids asking about mongooses. Had them for a few months now.
  7. Watch this, and try again. http://gprime.net/flash.php/postingandyou
  8. If you've been lurking for a while then you should know you wouldn't get away with being called 'The C*nt'. Try again.
  9. Looks good. Wouldnt know where to start on doing that. Give us a clue, did you have to install the divx codecs on the server and stuff? Looking forward to testing the web uploader too. Any news on that?
  10. Not seen that before. Pretty interesting Mirrored here http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/videos/kingservice.avi for future reference.
  11. Um, how is your network set up? Do you have the internet connection going into the router, then 2 wires coming out of the router into each of your PCs? If thats the case then you need to look in the manual for the router and find out the IP address for it. Usually something like 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.0.101 (I think) (so type http://the.ip.address into your web browser). Once you're in there should be a section on opening ports. You need to open port 1863, and 6891-6900 (TCP). Itll become clear once youve logged in.
  12. Errrr.. seeing as some messages are getting through, this probably wont work, but have you opened the MSN ports on your router?
  13. All sorted. Cheers for the replies.
  14. Nah, you'd have got validated for the manner in which you argued/slagged off smokers
  15. Working for everyone then I take it?
  16. Nah. Dont think both of us (me and danny) have ever been away at the same time. So one of us is always here to hold the fort. Saying that though, the validation system hasnt been around that long. Sounds about right Bashguard.com really helped getting TF where it is, so cheers for that
  17. From what I can make out.. the first incarnation of trials-forum (mtbforum.virtualave.net) was around in 2001. Trialsforum.co.uk didnt come about until 2002. I've been here from the start, however somewhere along the way Danny nicked my 'Member Number: 1' from me. b*****d
  18. Right its all gone through... Can people let me know if the following link works for you or not? (especially if it doesnt work for you) http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/index.php?act=idx If all goes to plan we'll go back to using the proper domain instead of the IP tomorrow.
  19. No offence, but thats a rubbish reason. Its only a hazard if you drive it past its limits/your ability. I'm sure there are good enough drivers around who could get from A to B in that car, with the current wheels, in the same time, and more safely than you could with different wheels on it. But anyway, bank the money if I were you and save it for when you need it (like for car repairs/maintenance).
  20. Not exactly... page loading is a hit, yes. But so is every other file loaded from the server on that page. If that were the case then we'd get nearly a million page views per day.. I can totally see it being genuine. Thousands of forums/blogs/etc about for him to get visitors from, and thousands of visitors to each of those sites. And probably loads of them refreshing the page to see how many its gone up by.
  21. I once got on a train in cardiff, aiming to get to tenby (bout 3 hours away). Didnt buy a ticket cos I had to run for the train and planned to get one on there. Got all the way to Swansea without them coming round and checking. Anyway, carried on going and it broke down about 100 metres outside of swansea, so after about 30 mins of waiting they managed to drive us back into swansea station and moved us onto a bus (after another 20 minute wait). Bus drives for about 10 minutes, before it pulls into a lay by and everyone going to carmarthen/tenby way is told to get get off, and get onto another bus in the lay by. So did that, and got to carmarthen. In carmarthen a mini bus was waiting, me and one other woman got on, taking up 2 of the 15 seats. She gets dropped off about 5 minutes away and I get personally escorted to my front door. Took about 4 hours in total, and the whole way nobody asked for a ticket. I would have claimed my money back, but seeing as I never paid you cant complain really All for free
  22. Nah hardly ride at all nowadays. Me and Alec tried to get back into it last summer but it lasted about an hour before we went home, total lack of motivation. But yeah, still got a bike so i'll be up for a ride sometime, i'll try and get alec away from his girlfriend for a few hours as well
  23. You need to make a transaction of £357. The money will be taken off at his end.. and I think its 4%
  24. I'd say your half right, half wrong. I'm gonna cast a huge unfounded generalisation here, from what I can see, there would be 3 types of soldier fighting over there. First, the people who joined the army not realising they'd have to fight in a war they dont agree with, who grudgingly go along with it so they dont end up in jail. Probably not that many soldiers out there with this opinion.. but I wouldnt say they 'deserve' to die. Secondly, people who signed up who are just too stupid/under educated/brain washed/closed minded to realise what they're doing is wrong. Probably covers most of the soldiers over there. Pity on them if they get killed, but if you go fighting in a war, you should be prepared to die. Thirdly, people who signed up to the army to get kicks out of killing some people. If they get killed, great. One less idiot in the world. Either way, all parties of that video have something to be ashamed of.
  25. Dont worry bout the title.. ill sort it now. I spend far too long on here. Good distraction from things I really should be doing.. Are you sponsored by tartybikes?
