Pretty much, it's a poweful base, and the oxidation on the rim is amphoteric (acts as acid or base) stripping the aluminium oxide and any colour in it.
-
Yeah, but it's also so poerful that if you don't dilute it enough it's goodbye skin.

Yeah but to give that measurement we need to know the exact radius of his rear wheel. Which depends on rim and tyre. -

Yes but just cos it's desinged as zero drop doesn't make it zero drop, say you take an old giant, run it with a 2.7 on the rear (yes i know it won't fit) and a 1.9 on the front and super short forks. Suddenly the frame has bb drop. -
Use Sheldon Brown's guide, just google him. The basic thing is getting the lacing right and making the spokes good n tight.

You can get it in supermarkets.

Factors to consider are: fork length, headset depth (bottom cup only), wheel total radius (including tyres on both wheels). These all affect BB height. -
I know that in general displacing grease is bad, but this guy has run the same freewheel for almost 2 years without it skipping. All he does is spray some through every month or so, and sometimes some finishline xc loob for good measure.

What Frames Are You "street Riders" Running?
ScotchDave replied to Davetrials's topic in Trials Chat
Giant team trials. Pazzaz risers. -
Got a bmx mate who never opens his he just sprays gt85 through it once a month or so.
-
Take off the other crank, rotate it 180 degrees and use a car jack to lever apart.
-
Good thing about that is that if you change from square to isis you don't need a whole new bb.
-
The teflon inner can be bough from bmx shops I think, just google it.

I'd just like to clarify that the only reason I got involved in this thread was because I feel that some sciences were being undervalued, something I can't stand. There are only a few things in America or to do with America I care about. The damage to the environment is one, don't get me wrong I'm no green freak, but I feel that as much as can be done should be. I am also very appreciative of some of the excellent research and work done in many fields. There are other things they do, but listing them would be a pain and could spark off a debate/argument. Basically I don't hate America (and I hope it didn't come accross that way) but I do hate ignorance in any form, it should not be allowed to exist for it causes everything from wars to murder. Anyway enough rambling, I'm sure I'll be able to explain myself when people poke holes in this, feel free to. Laters David

Save yer money. just deores with cartridge pads.

They were FPD sealed pedals, same body as shindigs, but sealed bearings. According to the guy in stif they were the first deals they'd had back.
-
I'll just mention that I have very poor experiences with sealed pedals the "right" side of £30, last sort I had lasted a total of 9 days for 2 pairs, didn't even ride them every day or that hard, but the bearings just went.
-
I'm sure some of that lot over on OTN have been using them for years.
-
If the bodies of your pedals are in good nick just go to your local bearing supplier and get new bearings.

Yes, but when it evaporates it rains too much in some places and too little in others, thats why drought happens. Not an easy thing to explain. EDIT Spelling

Oddly enough being in my last year of school and studying 3 advanced highers (which are harder than A-levels) on maths chemistry and physics (rumour has it I could complete one of your "degrees" with my current knowledge EDIT this being because they're glorified common sense) you may find I have a much better idea of how the world works than you imagine. Tell me how you're supposed to find a landing strip if the person who programmed the auto pilot has no idea of how the rest of the earth looks because "that's for little boys". They won't have a clue who to notify they will have a large lump of metal falling out the sky in their airspace and that it is not missile and that shooting it down would be a mistake, because they have no idea where the rest of the world is. Face it geography is important, without geography all the lovely tankers of oil wouldn't be able to get to America. Also quit moaning about how big your country is, Africa is on the same sort of scale and there they walk for 3 or 4 hours to get to school. Oh and I'll be very interested to have a debate with your niece on the basics of astro physics, might learn something. Also on global warming, just because the world's water supply is shrinking doesn't matter, because instead of trying to reduce the damage we do to the atmosphere and to our health by polluting the air we'll just go to war and take what we wants when it runs out. And Mark it is going to happen, in fact it is happening, most likey won't be too big a problem for the next 40 yeats, but it's going to get worse, and I for one care about the world my children will live in.

I actually found that unless you get ultimate arms shimano lx arms are stiffer (the new ones), they also come with some failry dcent cartridge pads.
-
Cos theres like 50 riders in scotland tota.

Oddly enough geography is not just knowing the name of where something happens. If at the age of 24 (it's 24 right?) you don't know what geography is I wonder what you've learned, apart from how to make amazing videos. However little geography matters at launch is irrelevant if on re-entry you can't tell whether that was africa or america you just flew past. Oh and no wonder your space program costs so much if 99% of you are in it. I also really appreciate the 'it doesn't affect me yet so I'm not going to care' attitude, real responsible and mature. So if you live so far from the sea you'll appreciate it when global warming evaporates you're water supply. Face it global warming is everybodies problem.
