  1. I can do it on other rims, but it don't work on my reggie. Must be a real tight bead.
  2. Well considering he's sold his first batch and ordered another I think he likes them.
  3. While you're there take a few pictures for us, see if we can figure it out? Also check the bearings, see how there doing.
  4. Then theres something wrong hat isn't normal, don't ride it and send it off to hope, they'll know what it is.
  5. Are you placing them in correctly, and are the springs the right length, how mangled is your ratchet. I would guess that the ratchet is now so mangled that you should send it off for a new one if you like your teeth.
  6. It's on your pads, take em out, clean em with sommat, then sand em but only sand them on a perfectly flat surface, and in smooth unhurried circles to keep them flat.
  7. Biro springs ar a bit of a bodge, I would try and find the original springs, or buy some more.
  8. No it doesn't, it means someone who sits in an office all day working.
  9. He's on IDLE right now, he'll sort you when he gets back.
  10. 18:16 is the usual. 18:16=1.125 18:14=1.286 22:18=1.222 Based on this you have to decide, if you want to calculate any more rations the way to do it is divide the chainring by the cog.
  11. I think I saw it done on here, best bet is to open it up and have a look, or have a wee search.
  12. I should like to know what allows you to decide what is good advice and what isn't.
  13. I guarantee you they do, much like the one that white spirits leave after evaporating, just a thin residue.
  14. Also ignoring the fact that car disc brakes are meant to have an oily residue, to stop the cast iron discs rusting.
  15. Welcome back, long time no see. Fatties are hard to get hold of now, but there are lots of equally good forks about, like the echoes sold on tarty or selectbikes. The echo cracking problem was solved with a new alloy called U6, good stuff.
  16. He may also know about tarty bikes because it's the 6th entry down on google if you type in zona zip.
  17. Pete tried to sue the forum cos people called him names for telling fibs.
  18. Things to check: the pads aren't moving in the calliper, making it feel like the front wheel is loose, the fork flex isn't giving the impression if loose cones and that the headset isn't loose. If it isn't that, I'm stumped.
  19. Use brasso, it has little bits of grit in it to help get rid of scores n scrathces.
  20. I think they don't have fruit pastelles over tet pond.
  21. This is smart, lets all admit to illegal activities on the internet. Woooooo
  22. Hope might also make you one if you ask nicely.
  23. I have a 3 year old set that was on my first trials bike, I haven't killed them yet, that includes 12 step drops to flat on a street bike and all sorts of other abuse, but they are a bit bent now. Not very bent, but enough so that I don't trust my teeth to them anymore. Bearing in mind I weigh around 13 stone.
  24. It's not life time, but they seem to treat it as such. I know of a case where someone sent back an old shagged brake and hope fixed it free of charge.
