After snapping 3 kool chains in like couple of months, i switched to KMC z510 HX. Now i don't want to buy other chains. So yeah, i don't think there really is any difference between KMC and Trialtech, should work the same.

Avid SD levers usually work good, considering the price, i'd say one of the best choices. My friend had SD which were working spongy and strange, but then again, i just think he messed something up while installing brakes. In my opinion, go for SD or save money and go for Shimano XTR. Cheers

Yeah, I'd say that pants are the problem not your bike. You should think what to wear before you go riding. Couple of times had that same problem, now it never happens to me i because i wear something that isn't so baggy and doesn't get caught in FW. Good luck.

You either need to keep an eye out on your chain and tighten it often or go for a chainstay protector. I used to run w/o cs protector till i got fed up with looking after it. That problem is even bigger if you ride left foot forward (like i do), because when fail to land sidehop it's 2x damage. Cheers

Try-all tyres are really gripy because of soft compound, but that makes them wear quite fast. Edit: in general (correct if i'm wrong) list goes like this. From softest -> hardest. Try-all -> eagle claw -> creepy crawler

Stem and bars set up is usually the key to comfortable ride. Most common gear ratio for stock is 18/15, but that doesn't mean you should stick to that 100%. Keep in mind that lenght of cranks is also a matter of pedaling feel. Many people post asking which set up is the best, what i have learnt is that you have to test it yourself. My set ups work for me, but that doesn't mean they'll diffinitely work for you. Slip matter - dunno if that's so easy to answer over the internet. Ask some people on friday. I'm sure when they see you and your bike, it will be easier to suggest something.

I'd say go for track standing next and combine it with rocking. Try riding narrow lines for overall balance. Maybe try roll ups, some static hops, 180s for the feel of the bike. Of course main thing is rear wheel hops. Balance, skill and smoothness comes overtime, stick more to the ground now. Dropping off something will come easy once you advance, no need to rush it.
