  1. No thanks, I want a reliable vehicle I loved my Cupra, almost too much. I hated putting my bike in the back and most of the journeys I will be making over the foreseeable future will be bike related so I'm thinking something like a C20 VW Caddy would be good.
  2. Where do I put the bike? And are you paying for it?
  3. I'm now having naughty thoughts about replacing the Cupra with a car derived van
  4. After seeing some of the food pictures you have posted on facebook I'm going to answer that with... You and Lou?
  5. I love the cup holder in the 4th photo
  6. I ride Road, XC and DH. I used to climb frequently and also enjoy snowboarding whenever I can get away to the snow. When not actually riding my bike I'm heavily involved in a local bike club. We dig trails and will soon be open as an official bike park http://www.salisburyjournal.co.uk/news/10237290.Mountain_biking_track_success/ https://www.facebook.com/tidworthfreeride
  7. So that guy is now selling 2 nearly identical LCR's and has even got mixed up himself and used the one with the private plate for both adverts on Edition38 They are both listed on Edition38 and ebay... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2003-SEAT-LEON-CUPRA-R-GREY-/321088496874?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item4ac25da4ea http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2005-Seat-Leon-Cupra-R-225-Silver-/321088467139?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item4ac25d30c3
  8. Account signed up, compliment of Mr Dan6061's slammed Audi A4 done, these classifieds better be worth it
  9. Dammit, I have a dislike of silly slammed dubs with shiny wheels and it appears you actually have to make a post before you are allowed to see the classifieds section.
  10. Possibly a bit more than I was hoping to spend but Rainbird knows what I want! I don't have an account but are the Edition38 classifieds worth signing up for?
  11. I'm still planning on replacing the Cupra with a Cupra R but I'm also having naughty thoughts about Audi S3's. I was thinking about getting a crap car that I don't care about so I will be happier chucking a filthy bike into the boot but I'm not sure I want to 'downgrade' that much
  12. I forgot to list this as a negative The legal firm working for me as of yet have not been able to get in contact with the other parties insurers and until they do they are refusing to cover the costs of any physio. My back has got progressively worse and yesterday I went to a private physio to get things started. She assessed my movement and pain before leaving some sort of radio treatment thing on my back for 5 minutes and then taping up my back to hold me in a more upright position. I'm taped up until Monday night then have another physio session on Tuesday where she will start doing some work on me. Apparently I shouldn't have gone back to work full time after only taking 2 days off and I'm not allowed to do any sports. £50 yesterday and then £40 for each session after that so I really do hope I am able to claim the costs of treatment. I have also been referred via my GP for physio through the NHS but this is likely to be 2+ weeks wait so I needed to get things started. The legal claim is also getting more interesting. The work site where the minibus pulled out from has now put up a load of 'Site Entrance' signs and traffic cones as well as a temporary traffic light system to stop traffic on the road when their vehicles need to exit or move between the site entrances. The question is why do it now after my accident (and apparently there was another accident there before mine!), they clearly have no idea about site management or safety so I plan to take them to the cleaners.
  13. The insurance assessor finally called me back and after a 20 minute discussion we just agreed on a price for my Leon Cupra. His second offer was £2500 but I argued it had nice leather and cruise control, he couldn't find cruise control as a factory option but he eventually agreed to add on extra for the leather interior. I just got £2737 for a car I paid £2550 11 months ago, not bad The only negative is that I had recently spent out on MOT and Tyres!
  14. One of the first links found by searching google for 'how to water a cactus' http://www.theamateursdigest.com/watering.htm
  15. I know this Danny and I initially said to him that I had looked and similar vehicles would be £3500. Being realistic I was actually expecting the first offer to be £1500 so was quite pleased when he said £2400. I have several example that I would class as something I would be happy to replace my old car with for £3000-£3750 so will see what he comes back to me with and send him these examples if he wants them. He said he usually limits his search to 40 miles of a postcode but had to up it to 100 miles to get anything comparable so I think he appreciates how nice the car was. The only thing I wish I hadn't said was '2900-2800' and that I had been a bit more vague but never mind. You need to remember how much I paid for the car 11 months ago and the fact that if I'm patient I can get a very tidy replacement privately for about £1500 (Rainbird proved this not so long ago!). It does sadden me that this has happened and I really do think that anyone in my situation (non fault claim) should be getting enough money to place them in the exact same situation without any financial loss but am keeping positive about it and just keep remembering that I should be happy I got out of the vehicle with no major injuries. It was confirmed by the assessor that the vehicle is a Category B write off, I got out of the vehicle by myself and didn't need to seek medical attention until the next day! I have no where to store the vehicle to break it and don't want the hassle that comes with breaking a car. Anyway, I will post a full update tomorrow whenever he calls back.
  16. Phoned assessor to speak to him about the offer and he is going to have another search on Autotrader and get back to me tomorrow. I have said that anything I would be happy to buy as a replacement is starting at around £3000 so I would be wanting closer to £2800-£2900 for my vehicle because I obviously don't want to be out of pocket. Also mentioned how the front tyres were £200 plus fitting and were only a week old, plus fresh MOT as well but apparently this is general maintainence and cannot be taken into account lol
  17. Assessors just called. First offer for my car is £2400.
  18. I present to you one of the most funny things I have ever had the pleasure of liking on facebook https://www.facebook.com/JimllPaintIt
  19. I have already had a moan and ended up going back to my insurance company (the start of the chain haha) who followed it through as a complaint. The insurance company spoke to the legal firm for me and the person who is dealing with my case at the legal firm called me back at 4:56 and now for some reason needs to speak to her team leader before calling me back tomorrow. I logged this complaint a lunch time so she phones me right at the end of the day, she had no idea that the physio they are telling me to book with are closed and had no idea that I had previously been told I would have to wait at least 1 week. All through my working life I have been taught to document everything so I have no idea what these idiots have been doing. Shit will hit the fan if they don't sort me out tomorrow.
