  1. Not sure which way you will have driven out but if you went north on the A338 through Shipton Bellinger and Tidworth you drove straight past our bike park
  2. Damn, while this was happening I was probably just over the other side of the ridge digging trails and riding bikes, if I had known it was happening I would have come and watched!
  3. The idiot that pulled out on me at the end of February has still not admitted fault for the crash so I'm still owed a load of money, what a fanny.
  4. I will leave this in here... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QcZ3peGv7DE
  5. I was there on the 17th and 18th staying down at the camp site in Bourg. I was riding a red Iron Horse Sunday. It would have been weird if I had somehow spoken to you without knowing. I met so many people completely at random on that trip! In Chatel and Morzine I bumped into people I knew through the bike park I help run and ended up doing some laps with them, I also had people walking up to me saying they had spoken to me at Tidworth and I had no memory of previously meeting them. It's such a small World
  6. I was in Les Arcs for 2 days but didn't stay with Trail Addiction, why?
  7. You think you have problems fitting those harnesses? At least you're not a short arse like me!
  8. Interesting fact - when I was passenger on a 'twat lap' with Prawn in his Audi he had just fitted bigger brakes and I had to get him to back off so that the braking forces didn't make me puke
  9. Some of you will remember in February I had a nasty crash in my Seat Leon Cupra. After nearly 3 months without a car I bought a boring but practical diesel estate and I actually think it's the best car I have ever owned! The only annoyance with it is that it is actually pretty low so I keep scraping the belly pan when going in and out of car parks (Read that as woodlands where I go biking) Recently I took it on a 1700 mile road trip to the Alps mountain biking for a couple of weeks. I even lived in it for the second week! Plans for the future - Other than cleaning the cloudy headlight glass absolutely nothing, I am just going to drive it and enjoy the cheap motoring!
  10. We are featured in this months Dirt Magazine as well! http://dirt.mpora.com/magazine/dirt-issue-138-out-soon-ish.html
  11. The opening weekend was a success and since opening we have been pretty busy with riders visiting and paying to ride. Chris Smith and Olly Wilkins attended the opening and have since visited a number of times and we also had Sam Reynolds and Bernard Kerr come along to do some filming for MTV. MBUK visited and will be doing a full feature on the park in the future. Anyway some photos and a video... Local newspaper article: Sam Reynolds: Bernard Kerr getting sideways: http://instagram.com/p/bYTp2tJ5U_/# MBUK August 2013: Lots of clips of Chris Smith and friends riding the park in his latest video:
  12. Spent the last 2 weeks riding DH in the Alps, this is where I slept last week. I had to get a 160cm Thermarest as there was only about 170cm of boot length (Full length sleeping mats are all around 180cm), the forks on the DH bike clear the roof by about 2cm and because I am short I could sleep with my legs straight! Practical Diesel Estate Camping ***!
  13. Get bibs, they will stay in place and won't slip down. Once you have a top on no one can tell if you are wearing bibs or shorts, either way you are still wearing Lycra I wear leg warmers when it's cold and if it is really cold I put baggies on over the top. I might buy some long leg winter bibs one day but I already own too much Lycra!
  14. Same crash from the last page but with added crashes
  15. Cheers Danny. I have no idea about the sticker but think I have seen a similar design on a T-Shirt before.
  16. I have not really been riding trials for the last few years and instead have been heavily involved in getting a local bike park built and ready for official opening this weekend! If any of you would like to come down to check it out let me know and I will be happy to show you around. If many of you are interested I will keep updating this thread with links and videos? Like our facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/tidworthfreeride We will be linked into the CTC Bike Park membership scheme, here is what CTC have put on their page today: http://www.ctc.org.uk/press-release/2013-06-11/tidworth-freeride-takes-off-weekend
  17. They don't have a wiring diagram but have said if I send them a photo of the damage they might be able to figure it out. I'm a bit busy this weekend due to a stag do in Bristol but will get a photo over to them within the next week or so and let you know how it goes.
  18. I have just logged a ticket with the Connects2 technical support to see if they are happy to send me a wiring diagram
  19. Not really, I knew it would be dull but considering what I use my car for it is a better vehicle for me. After only a few weeks of owning it I have probably used it to transport my bikes more than I had taken a bike in the Cupra over the last 6 months. This is possibly the wrong thread to say this but Bikes > Cars If you still want that stowage box and the broken (but hopefully easy to rewire and fix) Connects2 unit let me know.
  20. Accident happened on 27th February. I spoke to the personal injury company yesterday about how my claim is progressing. The other driver has still not admitted liability for the accident however his insurance company have requested my accident and medical reports. I'm still owed my excess (£500 ) have spent about £400 on physio and was without a car for nearly 3 months. Because the other vehicle was foreign apparently I might have to wait another 4 months for the claim to be settled! I tried and failed to fix my door handle, I still can't open the drivers door from the inside because of the shitty door release cable. I spent about 2 hours the other weekend replacing the snapped cable and then later in the day it broke again. I'm hoping it just unclipped at the top because I don't fancy stripping the whole door again. I miss my Cupra, my Passat Estate is awesome because it's practical and cheap to run but oh my god it's boring
  21. Years ago Janson rode over a shark I wonder if that video is still online somewhere...
  22. Never skimp on the PSU. It might not be a noticeable part of the system as far as speed and usage goes, but if you end up with a serious power issue you will be waving goodbye to your expensive hardware and if that happens to be the HDD you could lose years of data.
  23. Middle lane hoggers to face on the spot fines and points on licence! http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-22770064 This is awesome but at the same time I think it's just an easy way for the government to make some extra cash
