  1. Right after my avid bb7 packed up, and the clarks skeletor brake is shit (i didn't pay to build it up i just got parts from work) I'm after a HYDRAULIC disc brake. Some of you may have seen my topic havn't been offered anything really, so going to try and buy new. I've got about £65 to spend, i've heard the shimano Deore Disc Brakes are quite good, as in this topic its got servo wave for extra power, i've been researching loads to come down to this final brake, would it be a good choice? Also, it comes with resin pads thats the same as organic, right? As in organic used for trials? Thanks for any help anyone can give me, you guys know how fussy and awkward i am. This is the brake i'm talking about: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=67246
  2. Starting to get some really nice style, riding improves every time i see a video of him!
  3. I have this problem with my RB lever (similar to echo TR) Doesn't bother me too much, i know my brake doesn't leak, but i guess some threadlock should do the trick?
  4. lul, Wut? Was ment to get an ipod touch but got the money for one instead, was a little disappointed that i didn't have anything to open but either way i guess i'll be getting one. Lynx, chocolates, gloves, a mug, clothes, Superdry socks, Superman pants, The inbetweeners, limitless, various vouchers, 2012 gunnise world reccords.
  5. Alex it might be something simple as one of the bolts either the bleed bolt or the closest bit in this picture isn't tight enough, i've had that problem once i think, just make sure they're tight and that could be your problem sorted.
  6. Its the shortest mod available, there should be a topic on page 1 or 2 for the frame that i started. I would have said they're decent.. however im no expert.
  7. The 3rd brake down, yes thats the one you need. As for adapters i'm not 100% sure, you'll have to ask someone else with that one, sorry.
  8. Doesn't really make much sense to me but this is off the shimano site, might make sense to someone else? Saint Hydraulic Servo-Wave Brake Levers improves modulation and uses an intuitive tool-free brake lever reach adjustment for on trail adjustments. A redesigned brake lever blade incorporates a more solid ergonomic construction for a more comfortable and confident grip. Features: Servo-Wave Levers: For quicker pad contact and high input. Free Stroke Adjustment: Tool-Free Reach Adjustment. Ergonomic Lever Design. Vinylon Hose: Stiffer for more response.
  9. Hmm... maybe not, i don't know? I havn't used it on the front and i dont think i'd want to, i know ali c used one and took it off due to it being too powerful.
  10. Better resolution versions can be found here: http://toxic.net.ee/temp/triton/ Geometry with Echo SL fork Wheelbase: 1012mm Chainstay Length: 355mm BB Rise:+85mm Head Angle: 71.5 degrees Disc mount: floating +20mm ( 180mm rotor ) Weight: ~9,1kg
  11. YES! I bum the f**k out of these brakes, they're amazing! They have insane power! Theres a few downsides to them though: You cant (or its very hard) to find spares for them. For example if you need a new seal for your lever then you cant buy a seal but instead you have to buy a whole new lever, also they have a 660 gram weight, so if weight bothers you it isn't the brake for you. When it comes to power they're mad! I had one on my mod - it was leaking at the lever, and not bedded in and it was better than my hope trial - I couldn't get it to slip atall!! However i wouldn't recommend it on the front, i haven't tried it on the front i just cant help thinking it would be too much power, bit over kill..?
  12. Kenny... you've ordered the wrong side you nobber! You wanted the piston closest to the wheel!
  13. That little peice there is the ajuster nob, when you wind it in and out it pushes the piston out. The little nob bit is a two part thing, a little piston shaped tpa then attached to that is the actual piston.
  14. Magura brakes have more bite than vee brakes do, which is why the brakes are sharper, however vees have better hold. What pads are you both running? If he's running standard black pads i would recomend some £5 onza brake pads off tartybikes.co.uk, i used to run them when i had vee, if i went back to vee i would defiantly use them again.
  15. It sounds like you have a leak to be fair..
  16. This exactly!! I while ago i posted a video of someone who was 70 something and was riding, take the sport up, the only thing i would say is keep an eye on your wrists because trials can put alot of strain on them.
  17. Going to add something to the topic. What are you giving to people for Christmas?
  18. What piston size do the x2's have?
  19. Ahh, i'm doing something similar, i'm going to my girlfriends nannies for Christmas, not sure if i should look forward to it or not, like you never spent Christmas with another family other than my own, Bit nevus about it to be fair. Then on boxing day i'm going round my arnty's (spelling?) With my whole family about 25 of us, which is what we usually do on Christmas.. really looking forward to that. I've asked for a 4th gen ipod touch, looking forward to that because ive never had any of my own cool little gadgets.. got a brick phone at the moment so thats something pretty high tech for me Games and stuff, we usually have little quiz's all sit in the lounge huddled up together opening presents given to us by one of our dads dressed up as santa, thats the main Christmas tradition we have
  20. Someone had to start a thread, this forum was very unchristmasy so here goes: So what do you usually do on Christmas? what are you doing this year? What have you asked for? do you have any unusual Christmas traditions, games etc? What are you giving to people for Christmas?
