Hi all well was just wondering if anybody knew if tartybikes did the echo cnc complete brake lever on its own without the slaves. Or if not does anybody know of a shop that does sell them thanks people and HAPPY NEW YEAR to you all.

  5. You might be able to find one in the for sale section on the forum once validated of course but validation may take you a while looking at your post !!
  6. Nice 34 and still kicking great yarmouth MASIVEEEEE !!
  7. Well said that man all this moanin about the validation system makes me laugh its there to stop people making stupid threads, stupid answers to questions, which they havent got a clue about in the first place. Its a place where trials riders with real problems or help with a certain issue can come and ask questions and give advice and get a up to date or realistic answers to them, and not get given silly or incorrect infomation by people who are not validated, I mean who wants incorrect infomation when it comes to issues such as brakes , chains , frames its our lives on the line every time we ride . So put up and shut up is my say !!!!!!
  8. I agree just did mine with the syringe method and worked out a treat best they have ever been
  9. My'n turned out reallty nice and more than happy i did them with a fresh bleed of water/antifreeze there good as new. One thing i would say is take your time when striping the paint of the cylinders with nitro try not to get any on the pistons or seals a steady hand is requierd. I would also advise puting an old set of pads on when it comes to painting them this will make sure that no paint goes in or on the pistons . But all in all im really happy with the results and glad i did them so go for it and dont be affraid to experiment Il try and get some pics up before and after
  10. That sounds a good idea too you can get some nice high spec bikes off the forum for a resnoable price but look to save or spend around 200-300 is my guess
  11. The mad looks ok to me and for 150 you cant really go wrong if your new to trilas. Easily upgraded too, maybe new crank freewheel and single speed set up would be the best upgraded to go for first, you can always pick up cheap brake set ups on here once your validated to complete it all but for 150 go for it
  12. All depends on what bike you ride or did ride 26" 20" whichever. A good place to start is on here . Just watching peoples videos , posts , is always helpfull. Tartybikes have a section on which bike is best suited to the rider and what to go for http://tartybikes.co.uk/media.html?group=guides. Also www.trashzen.co.uk has a good tutorial piece that might help such a person as you ( NEW )
  13. If this was me i wouldnt sand them down it will take foreva. I would completley strip the brakes down, levers, seals, pistons everything. Then get some nitromores paint stipper apply this then remove all paint till its down to bare metal. Wash in warm soapy water then give them a good sanding down to get a good key for the new paint. Use a good aliminum primer to prime them up leaving them as long as possible between each coat about 3 coats should be ok . Then paint all the parts with your chossen colour a good few times alllow to harden between coats , then a nice clear laquer to finish . Re-assembale brakes and all other parts should be good as new . Well thats how i did mine good luck matey
  14. No worries new guy once you get validated you can look in the for sale section on here. There are quite a few stock bikes up for grabs in there, Maybe you will get lucky and get validated asap. Heres one vote for good luck.
