If not I can make the trip to stoke piece of piss either by car or train Am moving back to somerset in july but still got a good few weeks to ride yet! M@ -
Hi guys, more of a picture request, I had a pic of somebody (possibly bongo) riding up in liverpool if I remember rightly. It was an evening scene with sunset behind, and had been photoshopped in sequence hopping across a line of rounded boulder things in the city If anybody's got the full sized pic of this, or a link to it, I'd be eternally greatful as I had it as by desktop for ages but my hdd screwed up and lost it Thanks muchly in advance M@
-
OK cool sounds gd, guessin the taunton lot will be driving up then? See how it goes, most likely be there though Havent ridden bridgwater in about 4 years so will b interesting! lol
-
Lol true but then Ive basically not ridden my bike in a year so not like I need it See how it goes, kinda lost its appeal from the good old days of the bath and west showground though
-
Alrite, am back in somerset this weekend, home is just outside Bridgwater on polden hills so can probably hang about for the ride on the monday night if u guys dont mind me taggin along... Im guessin ur driving up and parking in Morrisons, hence meeting there? Long as its ok with u guys I'll see u all there, might even recognise a few old faces See you's there Matt

Nice vid, love the smoothness of ur riding and how quiet is it with dual disks! Like the chilled out feel to the whole thing, and so glad someone used that song as its one of me faves Top notch, keep it up Pointless post? =/

RIght....so go on google maps, or multimap, then put in the address or go on the direct link from the Nass website...its actually 4.3 miles to the main entrance to the NEC. There was a point to me saying it, and its still pointless if u cant take ur bike at all!
-
So let me get this right, its in the NEC where u wont be able 2 take ur own bike 2 ride unless ur asked 2 ride by the organisers, and camping is about 5 miles from the actual venue, and if people are brave enough to bike it, u have to get over the M42 (and I know for a fact that motorway junction is NASTY!!) Sounds like fun Was kinda lookin 4ward to goin but looks less and less likely it'll be worth it

Lol Joe, I think it prefered living in woking 2 when it actually got used >< I shall be back though dont worry As for the yellow brake, I know but I couldnt afford a new one at the time of building Want a black one to match rest of bike, and kinda need a new back wheel at sum stage but hey! Ta 4 comments though, hopefully see some of you out and about over the summer riding -

Looks a wicked idea, great to see a bit of innovation once in a while! Lots of interesting ideas brought together...like the look of it a lot! Few things that look a bit....iffy, but not being an expert I duno! Does no1 else think the cnc'd bridge at the front of the chainstays looks a touch...slim? Its one of the biggest failure areas in a frame, and even though there's clearly some extra been added part way up...just looks a lil dubious! Dropouts are interesting....again very slimmed down so maybe the frame's more of a natty-style than a hardcore street machine B interesting to see how the frame progresses, and maybe a few pics or a vid of it bein ridden. <3 the colour aswell

ooo ..... I shud be free to ride... Again, coming from stafford so if anyone's goin that way on the train then let me know! What time are u all meeting? Kinda key 2 what time I leave here... Hope u dont mind me taggin along, as said in Birmingham Ride post, Ive been outta riding for a while so need motivation! C u tomorrow/today! (yes I know its late ) M@
-
Alrite guys, probs havent met any of u at all but I shud b about to head down. Have finished uni in Stafford now and am lookin for an excuse to get back into riding!! anyone gonna b travelling down through stafford on the trains? I know Joe E from the days of Woking (last year workin in Evans ) but am always open 2 meeting up and having a laff with everyone. If its his birthday Im sure we can find a pub in brum to grab a pint at through the day aswell....! Lookin 4ward to it M@
-
Got my Club Roost 2D pedals at the bike show like 5 years ago.....£60 retail (I think)but I paid £25....best set of pedals Ive ever had. Huuuuuuge amount of grip, never let me down and the damn things still spin smoothly without every being stripped or serviced!!! Cant ask for more than that to be honest...though they do shred your shins! Always like those Crank Bros pedals since saw them last year while workin at Evans....never tried a pair though but they seem 2 have bags of potential! Pretty heavy though but gonna last for years I'd bet! Nice job and sweet review

Mod Frames..... Whats Good Not Over Priced Or From Deng:p
MadChikken replied to the_ferret's topic in Trials Chat
Yeah ur right...joyous snowflake weave! You need a very skillful wheelbuilder to do it right with no flex, and if u have a nasty landing u could lose a bunch of spokes at once! It doesnt help with strength or anything, just looks pretty. Is very popular in roadracing for sum stupid reason..... Stay away to be honest.... Oh and back to topic...if ur gonna complain about every other type of mod frame then get a leeson one and be done with it. Clive is the best guy in the world and u'll get an amazing frame outta it -
Damn right, thats what Ive got. They're only group 4 insurance and can eat anything short of a 1.6sxi etc. Great fun for embarassing the little corsa and punto driving max power boys Btw...there's nothing wrong with the Impreza at that price. U can pick up a fookin Nissan Skyline 2.0T for under 3k so what are u complaining about! Impreza's are dirt cheap now cos the markets changed, have been for last couple of years. Only problem is the harsh mpg figures !!! M@
-
I have the mild miss-fortune of going to uni in stafford. Not ridden much here cos no1 to ride with, but there's some nice planters etc they've put in town centre now Nothing much else though, pretty dull for more than a brief ride, why Im planning on getting up to stoke more this year to ride with people like yourselves! M@
-
All this arguing is stupid. Yes its not practical, yes you're never going to get the best out of it. Yes its probably a huuuuuuuge waste of money, but if you've got £600,000 burning a hole in ur pocket then hey! If anyone saw the Top Gear Ep where they took Clarkson's Ford GT, a Ferrari F430 and a Pagani Zonda to Paris, u might understand it better. The whole point is its a supercar!!!! Its not designed for "everyday" use. As far as I am aware, due to everything being hand-made they're only making 20 of them. This was from report a month or so ago, so may have changed now.... Gorgeous car though, havent seen the top gear ep yet but have seen a clip of it driving and launching on a track...F%*KING HELL ITS FAST!!!! If anybody ever sees one driving on the road in this country...I'll give u a bloody medal! Half will go to the middle east, a few to america and a few to mainland europe (monaco, italy etc) Doubt we'll ever see much of one Cant wait 2 see top gear now!!! M@
-
Bearing in mind I have a leeson thats had 4bolt mounts welded for a 32mm rim.....dont think a koxx or echo rim would squeeze in Could be wrong though, but cant see it personally. Ive only recently had problem with the mammoth where it wont stay true for long, and as it was built by an awesome mechanic, I can only assume its the rim weakening after 3 years or that its just not up2 it! May just go for a mavic, less mastle and they work out at 30mm I think anyway...? Cheers for input guys M@
-
Oh arse, thats annoying. Ah well guess will just have to wait even longer!!! Thanks for info anyway Waynio Bikes having a rest at moment anyway so... Does anybody reckon its worth hunting down a Sun Mammoth Rim again? I really liked it cos its box section with really wide sidewalls, but havent used anything else in 3 years! May end up just goin for a 721cd as I know how reliable they are Run a smooth rim so not gonna faff around with grinding the surface on a tioga rim! Cheers M@
-
Anybody Need as much input as possible with this people, so more the merrier!!! Pleeeeeease post/email pics if u have Thanks M@
-
Um...the tioga rim's are disc only arent they??? Could be wrong, but the only ones on the tioga site are, and the one on chain reaction is a 24" rim! Just to make it clear, I have a 26" leeson with maggy on back...:) Anybody??? M@
-
lol fair nuf, havent tried chainreaction but might just ring hope instead. Ok, while Im waiting for Hope to get sorted, what new rim can people suggest aswell? Ive got a leeson clear which currently has a hope xc on sun mammoth rim. The rim's old and pretty knakkered so thats why I decided on whole new wheel. Seems a shame as the wheel is 3 years old, and although not ridden for a year of that, has held up bloody well. The hub's one of the earlier xc versions, and has never been serviced!!! Sweet as a nut still... Anyway, what rim can people suggest? I love the mammoth, its a big deep box-section rim, but not mega wide thankfully. The 4bolt mounts on the frame are set for the 32mm rim, so anything else like that people can suggest? Cheers guys M@
-
Sweet cheers mate, will give them a bell M@
