OK guys cheers for the info, will pop into one of the shops I think and have a look. Any ideas on the release date for the 400D? it might be worth holding out to see what kinda price that is, along with the D60! The 18-200 lens I was looking at is the Sigma 18-200 F/3.5-6.3 DC lens. Seems pretty good, it won an EISA Award for best lens in 2005 aparently, so Im guessin that makes it half decent.... Lens on pixmania Thats the lens, seen it a few places for about £250. A fair chunk considering buying a 2 lens bundle with the cameras costs less than that, but the convenience of one lens would help! Anybody find any more info on the D60? Cheers M@

Its damn true, the bushes on speccy full sus bikes are shocking. Number of problems we had in evans when I worked there was silly, though not as bad as the snap-happy cannondale's! We had a demo bike of the Speccy Demo-8 and the bushes in the entire rear end (god knows how many, they have a stupidly complicated rear linkage) lasted about 5 weeks of abuse then you could feel the rear end moving around sideways as you rode along! Rockhopper is an awesome choice mate, no suprise they've been pretty much the best selling bike every year for about 20 years! Cant get much better vfm, shame they changed the lovely old round tubed frames for those stupid hydroformed ones, but nobody's perfect! She'll do you well Im sure M@

Heh somebody beat me to the identical post I was going to make, as want to get a dslr and learn how 2 use it well before disappearing to Aus in january. Have been mulling over both of the same cameras! Havent had a chance to pop into a shop yet and look at either, which I probably should do before making a decision Couple of queries.... First, the D60 has only been mentioned once, and from what I can gather from doing a bit of research to it a few days ago, it looks like its going to have similar specs to the D80 (i.e. 10mp 2.5" screen etc). As far as I can make out there isnt an official release date for it yet, not sure if any of you have any more info... The other one, somebody mentioned about the 400D being the same price bracket as the 350D, but when the 350D came out a year ago it was like £699.... Thats a big chunk more money than it is now! One other thing, slightly off the cameras but about lenses.... A lot of places do packages that come with the standard 18-55mm or equivalent lens, plus a 55-200mm zoom or the equivalent. Is it worthwhile doing this, or getting something like the Sigma 18-200mm lens which covers the whole range. From what I gather this lens has won bags of awards etc, and although its more money than the others it seems less of a hastle only having to carry around one lens! Any input welcome, the outcome of this topic will benefit which camera I end up buying aswell Cheers guys M@

^^ Im not emo, I certainly wouldnt class myself as emo, and Im sure anybody who's met me wouldnt. I may listen to some "emo" music, but big deal, its about the music and always has been! It may have been written to spark a reaction from the alternative community, but its a stupid way of doing it. If an article like that, written about a religion or nationality, was written that poorly with so little background research, it would cause public uproar! Dont get me wrong, Im not trying to compare the emo/scene kid persuasion to a religion or nationality, it just concerns me how a writer for a national newpaper can write something like that and have absolutely no clue whatsoever about it I guess there's always going to be people who disagree with the way somebody acts, it doesnt help with people being childish and misinformed fueling the problem. LMFAO I know, I dont get the whole skinny jeans thing....just look stupid to be honest. Its a fair point that the majority of people arent emo, just following the heard and being part of the "scene". The people you see who wander round with cuts on their arms and legs on display are the ones who do it not to hurt themselves but for the attention. Its become such a joke now, everybody seems to think its cool cos they've "self-harmed". The truth is though that the people that feel so down and unhappy with themselves dont brag about it or show people, they hide away sad and ashamed of it. Its done as a way out, a way of taking the pain away from other places or because they feel they deserve it - not cos some fookin blog on myspace mentions how everybody is doing it Its the stupid mouth "scene kids" who cause all the problems, the true "emo" is just appreciation of emotional music... stupid how things can get branded so easily M@

It really really is genuine fella, the whole film is crazy. They spend 3 years scouring the globe riding the biggest waves they can find, we're talking 70-100 feet high. The footage is absolutely sick, was totally blown away watching it. Must've cos Billabong an absolute fortune funding it all! M@

Thats a pretty damn naive thing to come out with, its as bad as what's written in that article. Granted some of the "emo" genre do act like twats, but most are just following the herd cos its a trend, that'll die out soon enough. That article is comical and f**kin irritating at the same time. Yes it may be fun to poke fun at generic "Emo"s but 90% of the people are like-minded individuals who chose not to express themselves quite so openly. Its always been about the music, why the F**K cant people just appreciate it and get on with their lives. I know thats an old post, but glad things sorted themselves out fella.. You dont know how close to what Ive been through recently that is I'd been out with my last gf for 2 and a half years, and the last 6 months from Xmas were absolutely shite. I was in my final term of uni, she was at uni in surrey, suffering from depression and generally hating things. We finally broke up the end of may, and one of the things that made me realise it didnt have to all be that shite with women was another girl in the town that I'd met before but never really talked to. We chatted one rock night at the student union (she's a hot lil alt chick!), got on really well and she was pretty supportive when we broke up. A few weeks down the line after lots of talkin on msn etc, we were gettin on really well and spent an entire day together before going out in the evening. We shopped, chatted had a laugh, had loads of fun and really enjoyed just hangin out together. In the evening she was out with her mates at another club, but left to come and find me....one problem that the club we were in had stopped lettin people in about 5 mins before! Long story short, ended up walking home with her to mine holding hands etc, then chilling out chattin and snuggling up and messing about about while watching a film. I had the most perfect opportunity to kiss her but bottled it cos I have zero confidence with women =/ Ended up walking her home at bout half 5 in the morning, with arm round her as the sun was coming up. Was the single best day I'd had in the last year/year and a half, and was so f**kin stoked the next day! We didnt chat much then for a week or so, I paniced thinking I'd f**ked up, but she said nothing was wrong. Ended up gettin drunk and speaking my mind, and her gettin really funny with me cos aparently I'd "got the wrong idea about us". Figure that one???? Even her best mate told me and my mates that she really liked me. Yep, thats right, I hate women too will never ever try to understand them! We dont really talk much now, shame cos got on so well and she's hot! Just annoying as hell, and not exactly the biggest confidence booster Glad all worked out for you anyway Tom, look after her M@

erm....firstly the XL's arent the ultra lightweight ones, the SL's are. Secondly they're all UST compatible anyway, and thirdly, if you paid £400 for one of them, then u were taken for an absolute ride. They're the cheaper ones, even the SL's dont cost £400 Shop I worked for sold them for bout £175 so...LOL

Any news on the zoo! pads? I'll cry if they've stopped making them, tartybikes had a mission trying to track some down for me last time I ordered them
