  1. Cheers buddy. Yeah got an Echo TR so holding a grind is no issue. Just need to get a good disc to give the perfect grind
  2. Quick question mate :) What disc do you use on your grinder? You Yellows seem to amazing compared to mine :D

  3. I've had beleays and they were pretty darn good. Il add em to the poll
  4. Nice riding mate! Two questions,. What stem are you running? And what pads are you using?
  5. I've done this :/ Bruised for around 2 weeks. Pain like I've never experienced. Did it trying to get my bro's drive side crank off, threads for removal tool had gone. Boiled a kettle, poured the water over the crank and taped a flathead between the freewheel and BB cup. Slid off.
  6. TNNs and Heatsink Yellows even. Not much said about phatpads or rockpads. Sounds like its down to the LGMs or Yellows
  7. Stock - Echo 2011 Mod - Echo 2011 24 - Any guesses? Echo 2011
  8. Right, after trawling through the Pad reviews, both of these sound promising. I'm really in two minds. So I'm looking to see what you all think is the best out of the four for all round performance. I ride mostly TGS, so mega bite and hold is a must. Previously had a trialtech rim using the TNNs and Yellows, but held a grind like cheese. Now on an Echo rim and holds a grind forever, so new start really Im wanting to take your opinions on board to help me choose Cheers Sam
  9. Rock Pads? Ali C's Joy Pads?
  10. Dont see how the first grind wont be any better than the second. I've just ground my Echo rim from smooth and the grinds sweet. Honestly the best I've done. When it comes to grinding it's all about technique and getting the right disc to do it with. With my heatsinks I've found that a Stone Cutting disc, holding the grinder at around 30 degrees and little or no pressure gives a brilliant light-medium grind that the Yellows work really well on. Shallower the angle - Lighter the grind Sharper the angle - ( 45 degrees max ) the deeper the grind - medium. Little pressure and a smooth montion across the rim will give a good consistant grind. The faster the action with a little more pressure gives a harsh grind - Ideal for the TNN LGM pads. This is what I've found to work best for me. Others may say different
  11. Never really found High BB bikes to be a problem really, although I do see where you are coming from. I think its really important to get the right bar and stem combo to compensate for the rise. I've just come from a +50 or +55 Python onto a +70 Ice 2, and I love it.
  12. Little update Rim ground and forks sprayed white. Rides pretty well, but a longer stem and some new bars would make it feel 10x better
  13. Suits that echo frame, seems really smooth and controlled on it. Makes a nice change from all the Zoo! or adamant frames we've become accustomed to him riding.
  14. Carbon forks People snap alloy forks easy enough. And like the bars, should you hit them either during riding or in a bail, the likelyhood is that you will chip them and make them useless.
  15. I hate it when my Nipples round off :/
  16. Will only tend to listen if Im riding on my own. But only ever with one headphone in. I like to be able to hear my brake, so I know its working fine
  17. Brilliant day! Some nice riding from everyone today. And amazingly smooth riding from Mr. Brakeless man!
  18. If your planning on riding leeds tomorrow, im sure someone will be able to sort it out. Id be more than happy to give it a look over
  19. Your pad retention pin in there? Ive had one come off when I ran one on the front. The pads didnt sit in the calliper properly and moved.
  20. Minus points. I want to ride without feeling ill.....
  21. Sounds obvious but have you checked; That all the disc bolts are tight The Wheel bolts are tight That the calliper is tight. And after that just check everything on the bike. Go around and make sure everything is nice and tight and where it should be.
