  1. BB7 + Avid SD7 lever + Odyssey linear slic cable with finish line lube = Win
  2. Only in the same way that the Hope Tech lever and the Hope Mono levers can be used with many of Hopes callipers? The tech lever is used with the X2 calliper, the M4 calliper, V2 calliper, as well as being compatible with the Mono Trial Calliper also. The Hope race lever IS the very same lever shown at Bikeradar, and is being sold as the race lever to make the product more appealing to an outside market aswell as the Trials market for which it was originaly intended. And the calliper isnt a specific calliper to the Race lever, its the very same calliper used on the Tech X2 brakes. Tech X2 Race X2 Both use the very same calliper.
  3. I found the correct tyre pressure helps too. Im running mine quite soft compared to what I used to which was solid. Nice amount of bounce in the bike. But like everyones said, exagerate the move and you will see improvements very quickly
  4. Just like my old Koxx/ Try-All forks did. And mine were only 5 months old. Lasted longer than a set of Echo SLs anyway. Never think Im going to be running them again. 07 set of Lites and Im happy
  5. It will definatley work. The comp bashrings have a 3mm clamp section, the Echo SL is 17.07mm wide. that makes a depth of 20.07mm with the freewheel and bashring butted together. The cranks will acept this perfectly, using a safe amount of threads on the crank arm. As for your BB, the Trialtech Lite has an axle length of 128mm, which means freewheel/ BB clearance will be no issue. To put it into perspective, Ive run Echo SL cranks (same amount of threads), with an Urban bashring (4mm clamp section) and an SL freewheel on a TrialTech Race BB (128mm axle length) and there was plenty of clearance Hope this helps Edit: the Trialtech Twin alloy bashring will also work with no problem should you choose it

    Jump Rims

Currently running Combats on my 24. Seem strong enough, but they dent easily. More suitable for flowy brakeless stuff. I would imagine a grind would weaken these rims. however, another +1 for spank
  7. Time for a new rim soon

  8. Little tip for you; I found it a struggle to get a good bleed with the brake on the bike. I took it off, and bled the brake with the calliper ABOVE the height of the master cylinder. I just screwed the calliper into the side of my work bench and filled and pumped my lever from below. This allows any air to travel up the system more easily, therefore reducing the chance of trapped air and results in a better bleed! Still follow the key instructions shown in the hope video though
  9. Fair point! Hope you get it sorted. (Buy a Vee)
  10. Tehe, Some of them were class! And some would be very painfull :/
  11. Needs a pure, non graphiced frame, Black hubs Black Stem Black Pedals. Then I would approve But thats how I would do it, the frame actually looks very nice in red, and as mentioned, reminds me of the Speedrace Fans.
  12. I really like the video mate. The move from Mod to stock can be strange for many people, and you look to have got it really quickly. After seeing you ride today, Id say that you really suit stock Ride soon mate Sam . K
  13. Square or ISIS? And Trialtech cranks every time. As your running middleburns you will be running a free-hub too, so something like the Trialtech Ti Half-ring bashring and an 18t Trialtech screw on sprocket would sort you with a solid crankset Im a bit of a Trialtech fan haha
  14. Pads: TNN Belaey Time used: Around 4 days of solid riding. (5-7 hours at a time ) Rim used: Trialtech Sport 19" Grind: Yes , fresh Sharp Medium grind Ceraminc: No Brake used: Magura Hs33 2005, Echo lever blade, Water-Bled, ViZ/ Magura clamp combo, Echo SL booster. What is your opinion of a working brake: The brake has to be aggresive. It has to bite instantly, no modulation, on or off lever feel, with loads of hold. How do they compare to previous pads you have used: Have used Onza Citrus, Limes, Monty X-Hydras, Blacks, Heatsink CNC yellows, TNN LGMs. So far these Belaeys are performing WAY better than any of them. Review: I got these pads part used from a mate that has recently quit riding for 10 quid (Win) with pretty much all 8mm of material still on the pad. I only bought them as my yellows had pretty much worn out, and would have taken ages and more money to get some refills. Before I used these I swore by heatsink yellows, but these pads surprised me. They were never any good on the previous owners bike, and I only wanted them as a stop gap between pad refills to keep me riding. I whacked them on, running on a dead grind and a smidgine of tar, and they were amazing. They held on everything the Yellows wouldn't, and had a lovely loud honk to them. They continued to be brilliant even after the Tar had worn off. Im not usually one to use tar, and decided to get off my arse and regrind my rim. Thin metal cutting disc, 45 degree angle, slight pressure gave a perfect sharp medium grind. Set the pads up square, and went out for a little ride. The pads took no time to bed into the new grind, and they again were nothing short of brilliant. The already amazing bite has become incredible, and the hold is simply quality, holding on things I thought no brake I could set up would. The pads seem less grind dependent than my old LGMs, (they really disappointed me :/ ) but maybe its a bit early to judge. I love these pads, and I would definatley recommend people to try them with the setup I have mentioned. Sharp Medium grind, 2 bolt booster, washerless clamps. Win.
  15. Tis sam from the lincoln ride last weekend.

Ditched the stock and got my Python back!

  16. I created my profile just as I was about to buy one, then the seller decided he was going to keep hold of it And as for the brake itself, Ive used the TR and a new 2011 Magura Hs33 and Hs11 Not only do I prefer the looks of the Echo ( I love cnc machined and precision components ), I love the feel of them over the 2011 maguras.
  17. Back to the python. YES!

  18. Going to go against all Ive said, and recommend the TNN belaeys. Ive used them tonight and they are so so good! Bite, Lock, hold, noise. Theyre really amazing. Will post a full review once ive used them longer
  19. I would buy the TR purely because the 2011 maggies look gash!
  20. I must have been pretty unlucky then. The wheels are being trued today and the bike is going back to the guy I swapped with. In all fairness, it was a big bail, and the bike did land hard and bounce off both wheels. Should all be fine The wheels on the Zoo are strong as. Trialtech Sport Rear Sapim DB spokes Echo TR hub Trialtech sport front Sapim DB spokes Hope Pro 2
  21. No matter now lads! Im getting my Mod-cycle back! Bomb proof wheels on that.
