  1. If your gonna fork out for a new brake then Echo SL. Best brake ive ever used, but make sure you have a wide rim, less inward adjustment on the Echo slaves than Magura Plus the Echo looks lush
  2. Punctuation? But yeah, rear Magura and front disc is the way forward.
  3. the gu sounds like a good bet. If i can get hold of an 07
  4. Hi guys, Been on the forum for about 3-4 months now but never really introduced myself; My names Sam. K, I'm 15 and have been riding trials for about two years now and love every minuite of it! I tend to ride around the west yorkshire / humberside area and favourite spots include Hull, Leeds, Shipley Glen, Brimham Rocks and Scunthorpe. Im currenty riding an 06 Zoo! Python and am hopefully moving to an 07 GU Typhoon if I can find one. Biggest moves have been accoplished this year, including 5ft sidehops, 8ft static gaps (to front too) and large drop gaps as well as improving on my natural riding. I'm enjoying the forum and will help where I can Sam .K
  5. Yeah it would be the 07 gu typhoon. But the Adamant sounds promising for my riding style
  6. Hi all, I'm looking to do what I've done in the past and buy my next frame early while I have the money available. I've ridden both my mates Adamant A3 and GU Typhoon and cant fault either of them, so its down to your opinions. I've searched online for these frames but I can't seem to find either for sale :/ If they can be, could you please let me know. And also what are the pros and cons af these frames; e.g strong, weak...... Ive included a poll also so you can vote on which frame you would choose. Would help me in deciding Cheers, Sam. K ....oh and the Echo frame I mentioned in an earlier topic has been sold, hence the reason I'm looking for another fframe
  7. the original post is useless now, gone for trialtechs in fluro green!
  8. i used mine on a smooth rim, no tar and no booster either. Clean rim and it was BEAST!
  9. sure thing mate, im looking forward to it being done. Havent ridden for nearly 2 months waiting for this
  10. Yeah i was originaly going to go green but looked arond and the number of green Zoos makes them knd of original. And as for it looking like an Echo its no issue, i love the look of them and ive got an echo frame ready for when im done with the zoo!
  11. Hi, Im building my new Zoo Python and am about to order parts off tartybikes but want to know if the following parts are worth the money; - Echo TR 20" rim (red) - Hope Pro 2 Trial Red - Echo TR 19" rear rim (red) - v!z Screw on rear hub (red) - Either Echo TR clamps or Atomz Eltis TR (red) - Magura 4 finger lever - Neon Red 4 bolt booster - v!z Snail Cams - Echo SL Headset (red) - Echo TR Riser Bars - Echo SL stem (silver) - Echo 108 FFW - Echo TR cranks (red) with 7075 bashring (red) And either TNN LGM or Heatsink yellows. Need your opinions as im due to order today. Cheers, Sam )
  12. the Echo SL just feels more solid and offers more braking power than the magura in my opinion. Echo SL + Echo SL booster and TR clamps with TNN LGM medium grind = win
  13. The new Echo SL's dont suffer any of the leaking products like the TR's and the older CNC model. A number of riders I know use them and haven't had a single problem. No leaks, spongeyness or mechanical problems. Just a very nice, high performing alternative to Hs33
  14. Not forgeting Neil Tunnicliffe and Craig Lee Scott. Others too like Jack Carthy, Ross Clayton and Stan Shaw.
  15. lighter parts would be a bonus as my python weighs quite alot compared to my old neon. Il have a play with the hope first. But I've also heard good things about the Avid BB7??
  16. I know the bite and hold is immense. And it would suit me more as I dont roll on the front wheel much
  17. Hi guys and Girls, Im in the process of buying an 07 Python and want to get the spec dialled to what i want. It comes complete with a Hope Mono Trial and Try-All forks but cant decide whether i want to go front Magura again :/ Ive got the Magura from a previous build already, the front wheel has a grind from previous build and have the Money to buy a set of 4 bolt forks. Its just whether id like it. I love the predictability of the Hope but the awesome hold from the Magura would give me the confidence to do bigger gaps to front. Id like your opinions on the matter please. Thankyou!
  18. will try lol, figured it out and if I worked non stop it would take about 1 hour per lever body to machine then, 20 mins for finishing and tapping out bolt threads. Then you can use your magura piston, spring, lever and TPA. Allong with shroud nut and bleed bolt.
  19. would be stronger than the cast lever body too. Ive just been given permission to use the milling machine and lathe at school to sculpt and bore the cylinder too. Would also count towards my Gcse in metal work
  20. thanks mate Just had a look and the designs so simple, I might machine my own lever body and use the magura lever and piston
  21. Hi all, I've just bought the 05 lever body off tartybikes and as it says I have to use my exsisting Piston and spring from my snapped 05 but the thing is, how do I remove it and fit it on the new lever body! Please help as this is preventing me riding and I'm goin on a b-day ride on saturday and dont want to miss out Thanks
  22. its Sam from Barton mate

  23. its Sam k by the way. I almost bought an echo lite 09, hence the name :)

  24. Ahh, I was just asking to see if anyone had one and if so what they are like, I personaly dont need one, I'm happy with my 05 just asking for a mate as he's doing a stock build at the moment and likes the look of them. Cheers guys
