  1. sounds like im on to a winner then I spend time setting my plastic backed pads perfectly square too, wont ride unless they are. This will be my first experience with metal backed pads too, so better be worth the £30 price tag! Are there any other benifits from cnc backed pads?
  2. Haha, fair enough mate. you seem to know what your lalking about
  3. All you do is rave about your LGMs dan

    Tnn Lgms

Hey people, Ive got my TNN's ordered and on the way, but would like to know what grind is best for these pads? I keep hearing about people using light grinds, medium, harsh heavy ect. But which will offer me the best performance? Im looking for good bite and a crazy amount of hold. If its any use im running a Trialtech sport rim, with atomz elitis tr clamps and an echo sl booster Cheers
  5. Only really recently got into it properly but have had part ownership on a few bikes, first was a 2003 GasGas TXT270, loved that second was a 2003 GasGas TXT327 loved that even more the third was a Beta Rev 3 250, but didnt get allong with that and sold it quickly, to fund the 2010 GasGas TXT250 Raga I have now, beaut and my 1999 Contac 3.2 GasGas 327. (Mega Power ) Find that my push trials has improved my mototrials no end,
  6. Think you should ask him for a Hope Pro 2 Trials
  7. What are your brakes bled with? Mine used to do this but was due to me not rebleeding my Anti-Freeze/ water bleed after 3 months. If it is water bled, drain the water, take apart the full brake and give everything a bit of a lube. Drop something like 3 in 1 oil into the slaves and leave for a while, using some mole grips to pull the cylinder in and out. Same with the piston in the lever. Give it all a clean and rebleed. Should be fine after that. Im due to do mine soon but will be rebleeding with PhatPhluid Should put an end to my water related issues
  8. Little extra tip: Get something like a credit card, no thicker, and hold it against the rim where the pad will make contact. Push your slaves in until the full pad it against the credit card, making sure the alignment is correct in the vertical plane. Then, and still holding it against the card, tighten up your brake clamps. Pull the card out and you have a squarely set up brake, the right distance from the rim with the pad making full contact increasing your brakes performance
  9. LGMS! Beasty pads Or rockpads in the CNC backings, Used some today and they are insane!
  10. Yeah I already use my bad foot to raise the front wheel, but was lacking in my technique. Been out today on some pallets and the highest I could get was around 5. By leaning back, being more powerfull in my pedal stroke and speed and lunging the bike straight up I managed 7! My sidehops have also improved, by learning to preload quicker as I did with the up to backs.
  11. Bit exesive there Im guesing to the hight of the highest wall ive done. Id say probably around 3 foot or so then, will edit that post haha
  12. Atomz Elitis TR clamps Work amazing just with maggie plastic clips too.
  13. As the title says, I'm asking for any advice on techniques to get my taps up to rear wheel any higher. Highest I can get is about 3 ft atm and the same from static. Ive been at this level for quite a while now and would like to progress Any advice welcome Thanks edited haha
  14. Water bled 05 maggie with 4 finger lever Atomz clamps Echo SL booster Onza Lime pads Dead Grind + Tar (Until i can be bothered to regrind )

  16. am i right in saying the new inspired 24 forks use either a 15 or 20mm thruaxle on their forks?
  17. Hi guys, Im getting some Trialtech sport cranks, onza isis bb, Echo Sl 108 and an echo 7075 bashring for xmas and would just like to know if there would be any issues with this set up? Eg. Bb clearance, enough threads for freewheel with bashring on. Cheers
  18. are you putting on the diaphram properly? No matter how well you bleed it you can mess it up by doing this wrong. You need to roll on the diaphram, so no air is caught under neath it and is caught in the reservoir. If there is then it will eventualy or straight away make it spongey.
  19. yeah man, sam kidney. il see if i can get down but im in hull over xmas so il have to see if i can get down ideally want rear mounted 4 bolt on fork legs
  20. Well as the title implies im looking for some Echo lite 4-bolt forks as I've decided i dont like the look of the Echo Urbans. Please get back to me if anyone know where I can buy them, Thanks
  21. id say 158s would be too short for a stock really, unless you like it. 170s give you more leverage for gaps, taps and general 'power moves'. So id imagine you could be using more effort, added with the slight increase in gearing means more effort too. Get some 170s back on
  22. fixed rear, echo sl 108, trialtech sport cranks, echo bash ring, skinny jeans. Done
  23. mine did after a little filing haha. Theres no problems now as far as i know. My mate runs echo sl slaves and the current heatsink backings fit beautifully.
  24. also how wide is your rim? The clamping region on echo slaves are smaller as they are designed to run on wide rims, 42mm +. If you run a 38mm width rim which i think the stock rim is on the onza pro, then you would need tensile offset mounts to allow the slaves to be close enough to the rim for good pad contact. EDIT: little tip on the echo pads-work even better on a light grind.
