Pads: Onza Lime (Green) Time used: around 25 days Rim used: Trialtech Sport Grind: Yes (Light) Ceraminc: No Brake used: Magura HS33 water/ anti-freeze bleed, 4 finger lever, Atoms Elitis Clamps and Echo SL Booster What is your opinion of a working brake: One that bites well and has huge lock that inspires confidence How do they compare to previous pads you have used: Much better than my Old citrus yellows, V!Z, Echo and Monty Pads. Review: When i first installed these pads i wasn't amazed with their performance but I hadn't given them time to bed in so went along using them. Rode for about 20 mins and could feel the bite and hold was increasing by the minute from then on. They got to the point when they were amazing! Bucket loads of Hold and bite on tap when I needed it, though they were silent. No noise at all! Very strange as all my previous pads were loud on the same set up. Haven't tried taking the booster off yet because I'm used to the feel of the brake with it. These pads work very well in the wet too, even with a light grind. however over the last few days the brake has begun to go downhill. The pads are wearing out very fast and seem to loose performance the more they do so. And before you say anything the grind is still as fresh and as sharp as I applied it and nothing to the brake set up has been changed, aside from moving the slaves in because of the pads wearing down (dont like to use TPA). There is no rim contamination or pad contamination, and no tar or brake spray used. Clean rim. Overall for £11 I cant argue as they have performed better than some pads nearly twice the price. Would recommend these pads anyday, Cheap, high performing and good value. Maybe a slighly harsher grind than light would improve them even further, but don't expect them to last long

You will need the Tensile offset mounts then, I ran a blade frame with the original rim for a while which was 38mm and needed the offset mounts to set up the brake correctly (without using TPA) to the rim, and felt great. With the blade frame (the 09) you'd best get a booster on there too, quite flexy

Zoo Python and Piranha news from Mr. Tunnicliffe himself Keeps saying there will be photos and updates on his website soon As the Echos go thats along the lines of what I'd heard, I'm looking forward to seeing the final products

well it died tonight, underside cracked off leaving me mid ride with no brake, but was to be expected. Might go back to my old 04, never had problems with that. Or an Echo SL, good to look at and feel great

I don't know much about companies other that Zoo! and Echo. Pretty sure that Echo will release new 2011 Team and Lite frames along with a new range of parts and such, and Zoo are releasing new Zoo Piranha and Python frames. Neil Tunnicliffe recently got his proto 2011 Piranha. Im looking forward to it though, especially the new Python

Its actually cracked the whole way along the underside of the lever body. Not the beginings of a crack :/

My Magura 05 lever body cracked on the underside tonight. Is there anyway of repairing this or do i have to replace it. Help needed urgently because i want to ride tomorrow :/

Profile Hubs in my experience have been gneraly good hubs, but its never been the driver thats failed me, its the hub shell itself. Ive been through 4 in the last year and then very quickly went back to fixed rear and Echo SL ffw, will never look back. Dont know about Chris Kings, had no experience using them. Make a bloody good noise though

The Zoo lynx is generaly a very nice simple frame. Quite light, looks good and the disc mounts are brill. Nice and strong, stiff and give a good feel to the brake. My mates ridden one for nearly a year now doing large moves, gaps, dropgaps, drops ect and no damage to the mount at all. I might consider one if I dont buy a lightweight frame for my comps next year.

my old neon for instance, mounts angled in wards and high up the frame :/ had to file em flat and then run the wheel forward in the drop outs

Looks like Because Trial next Dont like seats :/ Im more into Pure trials and competetion rather than Street riding, in the sense of Danny Mac. Its gotta be proper trials for me, Low frame, high bb, Long frame length Proper Job Needs Maguras ^^ love

Tensile Optimums, Echo 7075 Bashring, Tensile 60SamKidney replied to SamKidney's topic in Trials Chat just changed from rear freewheel, never got on with it. Always liked ffw

If you can get one, Gu 2007 TP. Best frame GU have done in my opinion. Strong, not overly heavy and look great. To put it into context my mates riden his for 2 years now doing big gaps. drops, hooks and such, 10ft gaps are reagular as are big hard lanfing drops, and not a single crack has appeared. The Zoo Python 09 is another good frame too, if not a little on the heavy side, but feel great to ride

24 'pure Trials' Bikes In Comps. And Trials In General.SamKidney replied to Matt Vandart's topic in Trials Chat we tend to ride maxxis high roller rear, kenda small block 8 front. 24 equivalent of maxxis creepy crawler and small block 8 20 on a mod

24 'pure Trials' Bikes In Comps. And Trials In General.SamKidney replied to Matt Vandart's topic in Trials Chat i think the 24 market has some decent options and part selections out there now. Namely echo urban 24 fork, trialtech 24 rims, all good 135 spaced hubs, high rise bars ect. I think 24 TGS is a market that could make massive money for manufacturers. I think id like to see the number of pure trials frames increase. Eg low frames, high bb, options for long, short, low bb ect

-
works a treat, did it first time my first attempt at bleeding my own hope to
-
Am I right in saying the 2010 onza comp frame is the same price as the blade? They look like the exact same frame, just different colours. But yeah the blade is a good frame with hs33 and disc options on one frame

Hi people, I have a 05 hope mini and was just wondering how I go about bleeding it? Im new to bleeding brakes and would like some help and tips. Also what 160 discs have you found to work well with the mono trial calliper? Ive got promax, tektro wavy, hayes, and the thin hope mono discs. Thanks

good! Weird how it wont let you add items though.

Hi all, just wondering if select bikes are still up and running? Some of the guys I ride with are adamant that they dont sell anymore. Would email them but it wont work :/ would like to know as I like some of the stuff they have on sale. Cheers. Sam. K
