  1. Its moving along 150+ ton of rock getting delivered next week. I will have a day up there and then head on to Fort William Friday and Saturday and maybe Sunday if needed. some big rocks being brought in at both venues. August the 4th is the date and I will put it up on the calender after I have set up the sections.
  2. There is one run up at the far end on the 45deg wall. About four foot, how much run up do you need/want. Shave all that hair off like the tour de france boys so you can go quicker. Hope you can make it Ben, lots of precision and big static moves. Trying to keep it varied!! How do I make you happy?
  3. All I can say is well done to you all for getting through the day. Sill afew very wet and muddy faces at the end. Thanks for the card and as of Thursday I can get my new chest tattoo. " DO NOT RESUS" well done to the new guys and I think the new sections would have been great if it wasnt under so much rain. Next one at Fort Bill and the entries are out for Round 3 here and Federation. Not one bit of mud rain or shine for this one. Come on you street riders lots of scary rocks
  4. Entry form here for round 3. Not one bit of mud all rocks, even in between the rocks is concrete. Can't say about the weather! Its a Sunday this time . Round 2 is at Fort Willam through Bike trial Federation. Try to get forms in before the event or at least let me know you are riding. 2013Cockenzie entry.doc
  5. It was a recognition of your efforts so far, more to come or have you peaked? Wolf BOY?? please read previous messages.
  6. Friday help would be great thanks. Big digger is from quarry with driver, but I am sure you could drive the other one at Nevis sport if they are okay with it to reposition smaller stuff. I will ask next week. See you Saturday anyway
  7. Me wind up the older elite gentelmen of Scottish trials?? Its the beard Ross! Rocks smaller maybee in one direction my little apprentice. JUst been up there today to catch a SSDT section and the British downhill practice and start getting organised. Lots done and a couple of new sections and the others reorganised. Going up Friday the 31st May and SAT/SUN 1st/2nd to get sections sorted if anyone would like to help. Friday is big digger day kiddies. Just camping at venue. Cammy and Stuart coming up with me as my boys are away.
  8. No problem, enjoy the wedding drinking. Duncan got there last year on a 24. Still not had a mod win yet!! But the youth are getting closer and closer to the old muckers. Next one is at Fort Bill on the Saturday of the British two day. Big rocks on Saturday.
  9. IT was discussed by the committe at Bracken last weekend. The answer shall be posted on the Federation website shortly.
  10. Kind enough to give us a cheque and they dont make one in my size yet but maybe for Shipley at Bradford this year. Dare you! Beers will be on me Saturday night.
  11. Ah the interest, they will be making three 75m2 areas of quarrie rock and 100m2 of logs and tyres and and one more area of Scaffold and bits. I have let him know to give me a shout when he knows when the rock is being delivered. Camping on site as long as we tidy up in the morning before the festival starts. Sounds like it could be great fun. Glad to see some interest. Ben lovely rocks at (all rocks) Cockenzie, Killin and new Bob macgregor this year just for you!
  12. The mystery additional round looks like it will go ahead. It will be at a bike festival in Aviemore on the 4th August. It will be all manmade sections much like Fort William arena sections. QUESTION. Will anybody enter and do you want it as a championship round. Takes the championship back up to its usual seven events. Please give me some feed back (positive and costructive) before I take some days of work to go up and organise the section build.
  13. And another thanks from the Scottish team to everybody for a great trial and organising the weather. See you all in a few weeks in Fort Bill. Nothing to say on the weather as it might still be snowing!!
  14. Hi Guys, Please keep an eye out for a TY175 twin shock stolen in Haddington near Edinburgh yesterday. Very distinctive with blue anodised rims, blue mudguards, yellow frame, tatty old orginal tank, blue renthals and been rebuilt to a very good condition. Also a Kona coiler with hope M4 brakes, Marzochi triple clamp forks, fox shock and a tatty old brown seat. My number is 07894 588522 thanks guys.
  15. Thats funny. She has a boyfriend from Liverpool and it would be easier to understand tigriss.
  16. Hi Tigriss. Welcome to Scotland nearly! Most of Edinburgh is ok except a few areas on the outskirts but generally there is no where to rent in these areas. My Niece is at Heriot Watt so I will ask her how to go about looking for accomodation. Food? I am sure it will be the same as France and you will learn where to shop as some supermarkets are cheaper than others and Macdonalds is the Macdonalds! Max, the French rider that was here before seem to have no problems adapting to Scotland, we are a friendly race. The midges in the summer, but wont bother you in Edinburgh and the Haggis are coming in to live in towns as there natural habitat is being destroyed by wind farms. They are ok but if you corner one then they have been know to badly attack people. People from Glasgow can be a bit strange and you wont understand a lot of what they say even if your English is very good!! I will ask around re flat mates and or somewhere to crash when you get here. Can you not get into the Uni halls of residence in your first year? I live out in the country so cant really help, but I did do Electronics and Electrical Engineering. Any idea when you are arriving?
  17. Huge effort from Dominik, obviuosly a very talented rider just to be at this level, but maybe not just at the the front threes level yet. Couple of get offs but you see that at any round. Didnt hear any complaints just a big grin at the end of the video, so perhaps he just made the most of being their and rode to best of his ability in horrible conditions. Interview with Benito on Tribalzine kind a sums it up, never even crossed his mind to give up even after a big crash. I am sure (know) everybody has big get offs all the time. Still stand by my last post. Not that it really matters as from experiance you can never please everybody, but one smile is enough.
  18. Look at the results equal first after first lap then three fives in a row, I can make my mind up. Dummies and Prams. Still not seen a video of anyone coming close to getting hurt (not that I want to) just some absolutly amazing riding in very hard conditions. Patricks comments of someone who was there explains it to me. Ahh I think me and Ross has just agreed with something!
  19. Was not their, cant ride like them and never will, only my opinion. But I have organised afew events and know how hard it is to get the sections correct, especially when the weather changes on the day. Maybe UCI events have changed to a level where if its not sunny and a coffee shop next to each section then its not a proper trial. I thought trials was about dealing with the conditions and the sections in front of you. (dangerous parts are an exception as nobody should get hurt) The video looked like and again I wasnt there that the riders shown were coping with the sections and the results although high still showed that if you can adapt to the conditions then you do well. maybe its just not the British that do moaning about everything after all!!
  20. Get out training then!! When you have other commitments its harder to find time the older you get. I know! Better get out in the next few weeks for Bracken as it is hard. Have fun and thanks for the help last year and thanks in advance for this year. Pauline has offered to do all the on the day paperwork at each round for this year, so that makes life on the day much easier. So thanks to her. Looking forward to it. Mike at Mikes bikes has organised Blue good quality SCOTTISH BIKE TRIAL HOODIES. They have a saltire on the back with Dans club logo in the middle with Scottish Bike Trial Club in red over the top of the saltire. On the front is a small Mikes Bike logo (he is sponsoring all the medals for this year) and then the riders name. If anybody wants one then let me know size and name required. We hopefully will have them ready for Cragies farm. Still awaiting costs from printers on final design all money paid to Mike.
  21. I feel a Monty Python sketch coming on. Ah were a lad ah could do ??? But they are fun to watch.
  22. Yes they do and we had a great laugh in the worst weather ever with the riders that made the effort to attend.Even had a mum as joint leader in the expert class for a bit of fun on the day. BUT 10 is break even for the club and I would run a trial even if it was just my two riding. BUT it isnt much fun when you have no one in class to compete against and the rules do say you need min three to be a class which I ignore to let the guys ride. I started up this club to give anybody a competition to ride in Scotland and generally do everything myself for each comp (thanks to everybody who helps though when they can) This is not in any way a complaint because I do get huge satisfaction from doing it and for me to see the the riders progress up the classes is my little plan and go to British or more to compete on even terms. Thats why I do COC for two British rounds this year to getthe Scottish riders involved. This will never be a big club in Scotland and I will keep it going for as long as I am able to and as long as there is a demand for competitions. What I am asking for this year was alittle bit of help in getting your entries in to help on the day. I can then do more in the way of posting a results page at the end of the day on pre organised sheets and hopefully make the day a better more organised day. I would love to have eight observers and let you ride as you wish but that aint possible so I change the rules to have a comp. Its never about the money or rules its always about the fun and friends. It was the same request I made last year that was never complied with by most. (some did) and I then just asked to confirm your attendance by em or post here to help. If you dont have the facilities to get an entry in that would be fine. It also means I dont have hundreds of pounds sitting somewhere unattended in a bag at the events because sooner than later??? If this little effort to help me is not acceptable then so be it, it will go on and the late fee is no more. Thanks for your points of view I always will listen to them its for the riders first and foremost. I was going to make the sections shorter this year as there was some points of view about that last year being to long for the time limit? It was aimed at making the riders faster and get fitter for those attending other comps.
  23. Lewis just fill it in and em the completed form
