  1. Wow some intellectual debate for once. (where Ross to stir it a bit) It all seems to be verging on the lets leave it alone which is what I hope will happen. The unfortunate truth is that King Salmond is targeting the people who he can fill with his patraiotic views and get them to vote yes. (giving 16 year olds the vote. I have a sixteen year old and all he wants todo is ride his bike). In my opinion if it happens then really, nothing will change. It will be a slow death of a great country with some great people in it. He will make a real mess, as mentioned above there is nothing of any substance or structure we have been given and then, as they do either retire to a lecture tour and a book deal or off down south to a nice couple of non executive directorships and sit on some nice quangos. Meanwhile our future generations are left to survive on IRN BREW and Haggis and the dregs of the North sea to heat their council houses, if there are any left. As for a moan we still have our Scottish rugby team. I'm with Gav on the sun shine bit. And your views from the Highlands sir?
  2. King Salmond or the typical south of Watford gap attitude above MMMMMMMH? Rather stay as we are and most people I talk to up here are thinking the same thing. But who knows. With every politician full of SH*t and once they get in power just want to fill. their own and their friends pockets and with the people in power goverining themselfs!
  3. Machine arrived 7am Saturday. With rain and or the wee beasties we soldiered on! Lewis, Aaron and I with the help of not one but two machines. (thanks to the guys in the quarry for 10 new car size boulders and help with moving the old ones that Derek from VG Forestry machine struggled to pick up.) spent the day building sections. One completely new section and the two redesigned in the arena. Grandstand one built couple of days before the event, but will be newish. Thanks to Lewis for the chainsaw sculpting. Aaron has pics up on his face book page. If someone has the time, they could post them up here?
  4. Thanks Lewis. Will confirm mid week machine is coming. Thanks for observing, will let the BTF know.
  5. 17/18th May. Might be up Friday 16th afternoon as I think the machine is coming Saturday (to be confirmed) and I need to be there all day. If weather alright will camp over till Sunday. Ross (the puppy sitter) McArthur might be up as well.
  6. Going up next weekend with a thirty ton 360 with grab to move everything around in the arena. New huge rocks prommissed from the quarry and hopefully a completly new section as well. Some new novelty bits for behind the grandstand. River I will try my best to mark out something newish!!!!
  7. With everything new rules this year and weather, it turned into a great fun day. Thanks to everybody for all the hard work and effort as without these people there will be no trials. Hard sections should be what the BRITISH chamionship is all about. Well done to all the finishers. Won't be at Blackpool as Aaron has exams. See you all in Fort Bill with some good plans for some new sections and layouts. Bring on the midges!!

  10. After last years monsoon, we had sun all day and no wind. (except two hail showers that lasted 30 seconds each!) Thanks to all the obsevers and section setters and clearers. Hope the riders that came along had a good days riding. Results will be posted up on the BTFs website soon, but well done to the three class winers Calum Grant in Novice, Cal Herd in Inter and Aaron Duke in Expert. Special mention out to the badlly dressed twins!! Numbers seem to be decreasing as we only had eleven and three visiting English riders!!!!! Dont know an answer to that one? the cut of point is 12 riders. Next round is on the Saturday only of the British championship at Fort William. Entries through the BTF as usual and just tick the box for Scottish Bike trial member. Only riders that have joined the club are eligable for Scottish champ points.
