  1. Yep i'll def phone tartys because as you have pointed out its perfect in the picture above and in my eyes the picture of my actual hub is wrong. As ali c has said also the sprockets he has fitted to the sl were snug with hardle any play!! This will be interesting when i call to find out, if adam could comment this would save me a phone call right enough

Its a good video, darren is a very good national rider with a aggressive style which works!!! only thing i can say is theres far to much splatting going on when the steps not that big, touch front a little more would be nice to see. might i add he is the british expert B champ 2010 well done dar!!
  3. I agree, maybe if Adam from tarty bikes is on here at some point he can shine some light on this shocking design! Why make a lovely profiled sprocket then make a hub with a total different profile. It's like telling a kid with size 3feet to go and buy size 6 shoes and tighten the shoe laces up
  4. yeah i totaly agree but i think its awee bit rough and taking the whole liteness thing far to far!! don't get me wrong the wheel build with those hubs looks bomb proof i just think theres a chance at some point the splines will sheer off. If its right fair enough i'll give the wheels a good hammering and get on with it.
  5. Surely thats not right, to me thats taking liteness way to far and taking safty well out of it. Sorry but thats poor, This does't fill me of confidence when doing a drop gap thats for sure!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. pictures now up guys. sorry for the quality!
  7. yeah its not a bad set up, there just spare wheels to be honest.
  8. This is far from it! From my experience with motorcycles and mtb things like these are profiled to fit snugly Like you say ali! The lock ring is only there to stop the sprocket coming off it does no other purpose. Totaly cheesed off with this after building the wheel up. Pic to fallow later
  9. Hi Ali how are you, the sprocket doesn't move once tightened but that's only because its jammed in between the hub and lock ring the profile is all wrong , will get pictures up later. If this is wrong it really should of been checked before it left the factory. When the lock ring is off theres 5mm play back and forward that can't be right surely plus the teeth barely hold the sprocket.
  10. That explains the axles, i'll get pics up tonight and you all can have a look, to me the splines on the hub are seriously wrong as safty go's well out the window if i was to go and use it!!!!!
  11. Hi guys/girls hope you all had a good christmas. I've just built up a pair of wheels using echo sl hubs-trialtech sl rims and halo gold nipples, look really good and strong, BUT THERE IS A BUT, i just went to put the titainium echo splined sprocket on and there seems to be way to much play back and forward, the splines on the hub are like shark teeth but the sprocket has nice machined flat teeth does this sound right to you guys?? Also on top of that the axels are machined nicely down to 10 mm on one side and the other is only half machined down so it can only slide on one way. Is this right or have i just got the sh*^test BACTH of hubs from echo. Bought from tartys so maybe you guys can help me out here. won't be happy if i have to de-lace the wheels and start again due to poor quality machining!!! To me this is a fault and and theres only one place for it!!!! the BIN

  13. Hi david hows agoing, if you have a look on my facebook you'll see a pic i just put up yesterday. put the echo sl clamps on and there brilliant!! with the metal washer system you can push the pad hard against the rim then gentle queeze the lever till you have 1 to 1.5 mm gap. really good easy set up!! down side is there £37 a pair. have a look plus on tartys there is a guide on how to set hs33's up and there also using echo sl clamps. cheers
  14. Whats the benifits of a radial build on the front?? apart from it being alot easier to lace. I have a radial build on the bike at the moment and it seems great but is a cross lace not stronger. cheers
  15. Don't think you'll get much better than the ones you have duncy boy!! The tnn lgms should work mega with the new try-all hole rims. If not try phat pads that am using, there brilliant in all conditions!! got heatsink cnc cousts pads coming, plus yellow refill, super soft blues and watson reds to try out!! should be interesting.
  16. Morning guys, won't make it up today. Weathers way to bad so not going to try as roads are dodgy, will get up soon though.
  17. how bad is the weather up with you guys!!
  18. Nice one, I ordered some from Steve near 3wks ago and nothing arrived yet. Turn up at some point am sure, whats weather like up with you.
  19. Alright Ross, I'd like it to be but god knows. I'll be up sat morning to do some shopping then plan to head out if possible, is it bad up with you? It's crap down here, loads of snow!! Was going to ask how high do you rate Heatsink pads, cousts or yellow Heatsinks? I'm using phatpads the now but I'm interested in these. Cheers Garymac
  20. cheers jack, yeah i have the limey 3 with intergrated booster but i've went and put trialtech 4bolt on aswell. i use phatphluid plus phat pads, long lever , medium grind etc brakes are really good just wanted to know your set up as they sounded pritty deadly. thanks for info much apprectiated.
  21. nice riding there jack, am using phatpads and find them brilliant, do you use a booster on the rear of the limey 3 and what grind works best, i've found since i have put a booster on the brakes don't bite aswell.
  22. Nice read there bud, I get exactly what you saying, i'd far rather be smooth than heavy and rough! I always practice techniques as I want to master them in the most effortless style, ok I have along way to go but practice makes perfect! love the new conti tyres, out of interest what pressures do you guys all use in natural terrain, i'm 10st6 would say am pretty smooth and run 19psi in rear and 20psi in front. cheers
  23. Dunc its a limey 320! ;-). Ask about mod frames pros and cons, I can't answer as I don't know as am new to this, come on guys sure there's plenty of mod riders in the know here! Don't really think theres a frame thats the best because every rider is different and want different things from a frame.
  24. Can I ask what tgs stands for. Sorry for being a numty, new to this really.
  25. Yip its the balls! am fairly impressed with it, 3wks in silly cold temperatures and there still great!!
