  1. My insurers say: So I think I'll be okay. I know their laws, but not sure to whether their foreigner laws are different.
  2. Yeah but I will be going to France probs a year from around now, so we'll be 18 and a bit.
  3. Yeahh. I got £3400 TPFT from Bennets, and £645 is from Carole You're right though. Nash is the bessst. Just read all through the posts and might as well give you my input. You're the same age as me which is easier. At 17 you can either ride a 125cc with L plates after a CBT or 33bhp bike (and cc capacity) like Rob on his CBR600 or my GSF600. Restrictor kits vary but they're about £180 fitted for mine. If you do want to get a motorbike that's a big one ie 400 / 600cc ish, then You'll need to take your CBT (£110 ish) and then Cat A test. Depending on how good you are, you'll need 6 - 12 hours worth of lessons which is quite expensive, plus your theory test, plus your bike test. Clothing will be from £200 - 500 depending if you want good makes, waterproof stuff, bottoms, boots. Mine cost £480 for a Shoei Raid 2 helmet, some Weise jacket and pants which are waterproof, Sidi boots and some gloves. Tax for anything from 125 - 600cc is £45 I think. and 600cc and over is £60 a year. Mots are about £30 each, but bikes which are under 3 years old don't need one every year. That's about all the information i can give, not sure if I'm just repeating what Rob's said as I know he knows lots about this kinda stuff. I've passed my theory and got my practical on the 6th of April. Well scared! I've got msn so just PM me if you want anything else Nick Carter
  4. What?! £600? I've got £640 TPFT on my 600cc Bandit with a Cat A license, 0 years NCB and a full car license. On a 125 it should be nearer £300! I think... Oh and don't try bennetts. They're f**king extortionate!
  5. Oh yeah I know that. I've been there about 12 times since I was 6 and pay quite a lot of attention to driving generally so I don't think I'd need to brush up that much, thanks though. I don't know much about their legal age limits, but I know their alcohol limits are nearly half what are "acceptable" on our roads. I think. Just think, that you've gotta be 18 with a full license then you can ride anything edit: http://driving.drive-alive.co.uk/driving-in-france.htm "Minimum age for driving, provided you hold a full UK licence, is 18 for a car and a motorcycle over 125cc and 15 for a motorcycle under 125cc."
  6. Just a kinda quick question. Me and my mate are thinking about going to France this summer on our motorbikes. We're both 17 and will have full Cat A motorbike licenses. Am I old enough to ride my motorbike in France? Will it need to be restricted, or does it depend on whatever the legal ages are in France for 17 year olds? Thanks. Nick
  7. Good lad Liam! Not bad for a first attempt at all. I'll come out in the summer like we've arranged and get some wickid photos and video of you. You're really getting good!!
  8. I don't have one now, but I think around the 10th of April I might go and take a couple of photos. Need some for photography Tripod + dSLR + Lenses + Long shutter speed + High ISO = good photos
  9. It's tidy. You could make it all except the cross fade in HTML and CSS. And probably put the fade in, with Java. Loading times could be cut by lots but it's not that bad at the moment. It's simple and effective, not plain and shit - for once! I've found The top font, Marseille is it? Something like that. Looks alright. Not really much content to it. Good idea of backgrounds though
  10. A lot of stuff doesn't align properly to be honest.
  11. What the hell is the point of quoting the WHOLE of the post, all photos and everything? Jeeez.
  12. I'm joking you dickhead. I've known Aran for over 4 years now, I think you need to re-adjust your opinions before calling me a Twat when you know nothing about its context? Jesus.
  13. I knew Arans site wouldn't have a clue. I'll speak to him on MSN. I'd rather he have a free good site than one he did himself and it be shocking, take 99939423432jil years to load and not align properly
  14. I'd probably help with a bigger photo.
  15. Sorry but its just bad design. The layout is 1980 style. Its 490kb for the first page, which is a f**king joke. Most index pages I make are around 5kb, maybe 10-12kb including any images. Meh.
  16. I don't really like that background. Also whoever said to make the bg smaller, you wouldn't make that background a set image, you'd do it in css with tiny pixle ones. It's okay. Not my style but looks clean at the minute. I'd work with 900px x 600px or something.
  17. Is that website for the visually impared or something? I could read all the text from the other side of my road. It's shocking. edit: Haha at you Simon with " " as your thing under your avatar. Geeeek
  18. I was in like year 4 when Literacy hour kicked in. It was shit. I can never remember what kind of time table we had at school When were we meant to do what subjects or is it just: "we'll write a story now" and that'd the english for the day?
  19. You. Stole. Their. Code. Quite simple really. Stealing code is bad. Could be worse, but you keep the same f**king layout. It's not even that good of a layout. I dont think many people like your website. And how can people 'not' want Trials to be promoted.
  20. Looks like the new Trialmedia website but with the short videos on the left instead of the right. Don't really like the colour scheme. Top banner doesn't relate to trials and it boring. Not too kean to be honest. From a design, content or coding point of view. Sorry.
  21. Me too. Got f**king loads too. BN's ruled. They're still about at like 1979 weren't they?
  22. I love it. It actually works. You've just changed it this minute again though so it's got rounded corners. I'm sure of it. Gr! It aligns okay in Safari
  23. Who the f**k that your website was 'really nice' ? Not me. Copying Jonny = bad. It's not even a good copy. It's actually no-where near. I mean having the layout of top banner, then text menu, then content isn't new, and Jonny definately didn't create that idea before anyone else. But having the photo menu on the right just trys to immitate it. And it's shitly done. Colours are shocking. Urgh. Just stop trying please. You give website constructors a bad name.
  24. How come you're talking in third person. about yourself? Fair do's about your pictures. timer stuff's okay. A bit arty photos but not too bad non the less. You liked to highlight your pot on your arm didn't you? Nick.
