Bottom line, I expressed my opinion, which in the end is what forums are all about. Don't cry about it. I'm not bothered what you do with your hub. This is the last post I'll make on the matter because I won't be drawn into an immature argument about a piece of metal which spins round. Take a chill pill ;)
-
Sorry, didn't realise I wasn't entitled to an opinion. Good luck with it. Just don't post back on here moaning if it does die. ;)
-
That seems so worth it (Y) . What a waste of a hub.

Does it matter who got it first? Game screwed up my bro's pre-order. Bastards. Oh well, still got MGS3 to mess around on till it arrives. :turned:

I've been running an XTR for about a year now - first on an Avid disk (which blew up a couple of days ago :) ) and now on my XTR V. I think it's by far the most comfortable V lever going - more comfortable than any Avid I've used (SD5, 7 and Ultimate). As for the sprung thing - I wouldn't even think about it to be honest. It feels great imo. :turned:

He runs a maggie on the front though doesn't he? I think the main issue in the disc mount - the rest of the fork seems pretty solid.

I am genuinely shocked myself... It's so blatent!

My day has now been completed  Re-read boon's post mate... I know it's late but come on...

Oh dear... Someone has just cheered me up! Good stuff boon :)

Also, just because someone has been welding for 40 odd years, doesn't mean they will successfully be able to construct a frame... It's a lot harder than it looks, and even if he can weld a frame together, it probably won't have been stress-tested on relevent computer programs etc etc.. I'm not trying to put the idea down, I'm just stating the facts. Best of luck with it :)

Are they still married? hehe

Just looks like a super old skool HS33 lever to me.

Same thing happened to my girlfriend's parents. They would buy a ticket every single week, with the same numbers. Then one week her mum couldn't get a ticket because she was working late, and their numbers came up. I think I would actually cry like a little bitch if that happened to me

What are you doing! You better not be getting rid of the Tibo for a Zebdi! Most Zebbers are around 1020-1030 anyway Chris.

Yay I was online (Y)" (hiphopuk). Gotta love the old skool

Nice vids there lads - good riding, and liked the simple yet effective editing. (Y)

He's got some skills (Y) Indoor trials place would be so sweet. People who have places like that don't realise how lucky they are!

How about when you want to grind your rim? Do you have to redo the whole process, or am I being thick? :"> - Edit - sorry I should have paid more attention lol (Y)

I very rarely fall down onto bashguard, but when it has come down it hasn't really deflected onto the downtube. It depends on what you are doing really - I find with big rail gaps etc. you are more likely to hit the downtube because of the small surface. It's a pretty solid setup overall - you wouldn't be disappointed.

Well in my case, I ride UCI most of the time, but I still want a bash that won't bend like a bit of cheese if I ACCIDENTLY land on it. My old Tryall one died within a short amount of time, and I never even tried to go to bashguard on it. The UCI Tensile jobby is holding out fine though.

I'm going to add another vote for the "flat bar" problem. I used to ride with Monty and Brisa flat's, and I swear they actually damaged my wrists. It's a poor design. I then moved back to conventional risers, and now onto Zoo's, which I find perfectly comfortable. I don't seem to get any wrist problems now. Might be worth trying out some trials risers like the Zoo or Pazzaz?

I was in the same position as you about a year ago. Always ran 'burns, fancied a change, so I got some Tensiles. I've been nothing but impressed by them ever since! Super stiff, look pretty, and seem plenty strong enough. The replaceable pedal threads are a great idea, not that I've ever had to use the option. I'm running a UCI bashring on the normal style arms (held on with the sprocket), and it seem's plenty strong. I don't really use my bash that often on purpose (have done now and then), but I've come down on it pretty hard from failed ups etc and it's stayed straight (more than can be said for my old Tryall one... which is made of cheese I'm sure). - Edit - Can't say I've had any problems with my feet rubbing? I'm a size 9, not sure if it's people with larger feet who have probs?
-
Looking good Sam! These guys havn't seen anything yet! Jack is a beast (I agree, I'm sure his barge-feet are the source of his power).
-
Send a PM to Sam (FishWog on here). He makes the vid's with Jack in them, so I'm sure he'll be able to sort you out. Jack really is a mentallist lol

Looking very nice Sam, must say I'm a bit jealous hehe. Must have a ride next time I see you. Good review too! (N)
