Mine's an old pic of me upping a rail in Dover. The full size pic is one of the best I've had taken of me, even about 3/4 years on. It's been my avatar for as long as I can remember! I've just changed the title name, as it's been displaying "formally HipHopUK" for a while now.. Havn't gone by that name for ages. Rail Lover now... Because I have been known to have a slight rail fetish (N) (mmm slippery pole)

I've been running the Wellgo versions (exactly the same pedals) for a good 10 months now, and I do a lot of sidehops to pedal/crankarm. They have held out extremely well, I've lost 1 pin on each pedal (same place - on the outer part, probably the part most in contact with walls). Seals/bearings are still in perfect condition, overall I'm really impressed. I highly recommend them.

Think we can all agree that was absolute wan*. Missed the point completely!! I hope they make another program, but this time showing all the shit chavs actually live for.

It's looking good so far mate! If you or any of the Ramsgate crew fancy inputting some designs/ideas, that would be great!
-
Fair enough, that is your opinion and you are entitled to it. Although I'm sure many of my BMX street rider mate's would disagree that their sport cannot be done on stuff that is already there :P Thanks to everyone who has signed so far, keep them coming! (N)

What's the need for a skatepark? Plenty of walls and rails etc... Could use that argument for anything. The trials scene around here is pretty big, and growing all the time. It's actually going to be in the Folkestone area. So possibly even nearer for you dude?
-
Nope, just leave your details wherever you are from! If we show interest from the whole country, we are more likely to have the park built to just how we want it (the council are very interested, if there is enough interest they have indicated they would be willing to put a fair bit of money into it).
-
Hey guys, we have finally had our voices heard by our local council, and we are so close to having a trials park built. All we need now is a list of names, addresses etc, to just back us up. Please, no comments saying "it will never get built" etc. Please take a minute of your time to leave your name, address and tel. number if you do not mind it being disclosed. We would really appreciate it. Mine's first. Name: Daniel Fitzpatrick Address: London Road, Deal, Kent Tel Number: 07791 468836 Cheers guys! :o

If they are the 3-piece Pace forks, not the regular bladed style ones, I'm pretty sure they did a disk brake mount clamp for them, which was intergrated into one of the dropouts. I'm not 100% sure as it was a long time ago since I last saw some. As always, best bet is to call Pace. They should be able to sort you out :) Edit - I know these are the new Carbon forks, but I'm sure Pace would be able to change the dropout on yours, for a small cost. Forks - Disk Mount

You changed your mind quickly :- Not sure if the frames are available on their own. Might be worth calling MAD to find out.
-
So I take it you have ridden the new MAD? And have broken one I assume?? You can't say "it will break easily because it's a Saracen", that is rubbish. The new version hasn't been out long enough for ANYONE to gauge their strength. However, the old MAD's seemed to last very well, as do their jump frames. Some people are so image concious and dismiss things straight away just because of the brand. I ride a Levelboss and have had countless other high-end frames, and I would happily ride the new MAD if someone gave me one, or I wanted a cheap replacement frame.
-
What else can I say that hasn't already been said? Absolute insanity on a bike. I don't think I'll ever understand gaps to front wheel on rails :) Sweet vid :-
-
Upgrade... Hard to say. In my opinion it would ride better, but everyone has preferences when it comes down to length and geometry etc. Best bet is to try and ride one mate, as with all frames.
-
Liked the vid guys, reminds me of days out I have, trying things over and over until you've got it nailed, and having some amusing stacks in the process lol. Looks like you've settled in on the 24" pretty well!
-
Looked like you were having fun hehe Can't believe you can ride without gloves in those conditions!! I moan like a little bitch when it's a little bit windy and I don't have gloves :"> Good stuff :wink2:

Mainly the seatstays, you can feel it through the brake lever obviously. Although as I said, this could be remedied with a good booster. Compared to my Koxx, it doesn't feel as "tight" and positive... I can't really explain this, it's just something you tend to notice when you've been riding too long like me lol :wink2: This is not a terribly bad thing, I'm probably being overly-critical. I just prefer a nice stiff Koxx (that's getting way old now isn't it :- ).

A mate of mine has has the lowest spec'ed MAD since just after xmas. I am very impressed with the the bike as a whole for the price, coming with ISIS cranks and BB, "proper" flat trials bar (oversize). It is the perfect bike for starting out on, but the frame itself would also suit an experienced rider (my mate has made several upgrades already, and it's proving to be quite a bike!). The frame... I can't give exact figures, but it seems to have around a 1065 wheelbase with the standard forks (measured alongside my bike with 1055 wheelbase). I will get a measurement tomorrow if someone else doesn't know. Chainstays, again I can't be exact, but they are plenty short, keeping in trend with most modern frames. It has taken some hard knocks so far, and seems quite dent resistant. The finish is of a good quality (bottom range bike has the red frame - looks completely different in real life than in the pics - really deep metallic finish). Only downside I would mention is the seatstays - they are quite flexy, but then I am comparing this to my Koxx with a modified 4 Bolt XTR booster. I should think with a decent booster (XTR, Echo Control) it should be fine. Overall the bike as whole rides very well - it is as easy on the back wheel as my Koxx, feels nice and responsive, but not quite as stiff. For the price of a full bike, you really can't go wrong - but on the other hand, if you are spending a little more and going for the middle or top spec - it may be worth looking at the Onza range also, as they are pretty hard to beat. The bottom model is the same frame as the other two, except it has V mounts rather than 4 bolt. As for the frame... I'm not sure if it's available on its own yet, but I'm sure if they are released they SHOULD be mighty cheap. If people can look beyond the brand and previous models, they will see that this is a well designed frame, and a complete change of direction for Saracen/MAD. Gets the thumbs up from me :wink2: If you need any more info, let me know :-

I've recently gone back to old style brown Koxx Bloxx after a week of using the new Heatsink's. The Heatsink's were ok, but for me personally I just preferred the solid lock, and seemingly endless hold Bloxx provide. I doubt I will use anything else until I can test the Tarty pads. So I would say old style Koxx's matey :P

Well I thought the whole vid was excellent... I like to see vids like this, as well as the mental one's from CLS, and chilled out natural vids etc, as it gives a good contrast of riding styles. I think everyone should try to appreciate riding for what it is, rather than just immediately casting it aside because it doesn't fit the normal trends. Beastly riding and sweet editing in my opinion.
-
Excellent vid, chilled out but great riding by all! Prototype is looking good too! :P (p.s. - wish it was as sunny as that down South at the mo!)
-
Mod bike does look a lil outdated.. Although it would suit a beginner fine I'm sure. As for the stock, a mate of mine recently bought the bottom range one, and I must say I'm super impressed. He's already upgraded it with a few parts, but the frame is super sweet for the money.
-
Though he has a Punto? Fiat aren't French?
-
If you are just fitting new bulbs, the car's manual should have instructions on how to do it. Bulbs are almost always super easy to fit.
-
I agree that it depends on the rider. You've really got to engage the hub smoothly, rather than just stomping away. They can last bloody ages if you look after them, but if you're the sort of rider who tends to be a bit heavy-footed, then go for a different hub.

Immense skills there Sam!
