Avoid USE forks like the plague! They were discontinued for a reason! The flexiest forks known to man, completely unsuitable for a trials bike unless you do nothing on the front wheel. I've actually seen the legs twist out of the crown using a disc. When I had a pair all those years ago I couldn't believe I had spent so much. Super lightweight, but dangerously flexy. Anyone experienced riders who have used them would agree I'm sure.

The buggers stole my name (Y) (Y)

I've got a friend there doing the same course, going into his 3rd year now. He's loved every minute of it!

Here is my old one... Ended up looking a little different with an Intense rear tyre etc. but you get the idea.
-
Enjoyed that mate, good riding, nice editing - sweet (Y)

Best thing I've found for WCS' is clear paint laquer. Spray on bar and inside grips, slide on, position how you want... Dry (and rideable) within 5 minutes.

The thing with the Ritchey's is, they seem smaller than they actually are - when riding they compress a fair bit when you hold them. Sounds weird, but I really don't like fat grips, but I love the Ritchey's. Give them a go and let them soften up a bit, and I'm sure you will be very happy with them

I'm loving it Chris, hope you are happy with it! Try to keep it longer than usual this time eh! I'll have to come and try it out soon.

I definately think this is the way forward in trials - much more professional approach than the 'ol grind. Like Adam says, some pads designed for that sort of rim would be mint. Think a company needs to get on the case

Sorry hit the wrong button... Feel free to delete :">

I'm not too sure about getting it on finance, but have you considered a personal loan? They really aren't as scary as they sound. If you have a part time job you should be able to borrow all you need  Try Virgin loans, they are consistantly rated well, and have 6.9% APR at the mo I believe. Give them a call, you might be able to work something out. (By the way - getting a bike on finance will have the same sort of conditions as a personal loan - so if you have no income at all, you wont have much luck)

I totally agree with you there, which is why I've just had another built up. Too many grinds and a stupid gap drop was all that killed mine (all those dents were from the same line. Had no dents before).
-
Yeah it was pretty meaty. Had some pork chops hanging off it.

Quit complainin' :S" Bear in mind my wheel was actually still true after this punishment. We all love Adam :) Bloody drop gap. Wouldn't leave it till I nailed it lol

Could go round in circles with this conversation... Bottom line is... Most of us speed. I speed 99% of the time. However, if I got caught, I wouldn't moan about it. You were doing enough over the limit for the copper to bust you, and you will just have to accept it. It's all well and good saying the road "should" be a certain speed limit. But it's not! So you can't really complain that you got caught. The copper was probably having a shitty day and decided to make an example of you, or at least make you think twice about speeding again seeing as you are a new driver. It will have worked don't you think? You won't want to lose your license thats for sure. It sucks, but that's the real world. Welcome to the world of motoring (N)

A mate of mine puts an everyday elastoplast (fabric material) plaster on the end of the lever where he grabs it. It looks minging but works extremely well - far better than the 'proper' lever grips you can buy. I've started using it myself after switching to a V from a disk (temporary, I hate V's) because I have the same trouble with soreness. Working mint at the moment :ermm: Give it a go, it won't cost anything if you have some plasters laying around.

Very nice. Similar colour to my old Zebdi - had it sprayed BMW Metallic Green.
-
Or maybe knowing that the original owner had been killed for it!! Hence why it was sold - couldn't be returned to the rightful owner.
-
Yep around that, and at least 18k for a decent condition import. Was immaculate as well.

As for police auctions themselves... They have been known to offer some ridiculous bargains. For example, someone I know picked up a stolen and recovered R34 Skyline for under £6000 :D A tenner isn't bad for a book telling you where these auctions are really. Usually you only find out about them from word of mouth, people who work in the police force etc. Could be worth a look if you have an odd tenner doing nothing :S

Oh my god that is savage (Y) Spat my drink everywhere when I saw that. When I say LOL I actually mean laugh out loud for once!! Classic.

In my opinion, a chain is the last place you should be looking to save weight. The weight saving isn't exactly a lot anyway, and I bet the strength/weight ratio is now far worse. I personally don't mind paying the weight penalty using a Kool over a standard MTB chain, as it inspires me with more confidence when riding. Would rather have 100g extra than some teeth missing.

Nothing too bad, just managed to cause £££ of damage to the car. I knew something would come up so he couldn't get the Skyline he was looking at (Y) Anyway I loved the vid, good to see Jack back on a Zebdi where he belongs :D

Excellent vid Sam, some sweet-ass riding as usual. Look pretty comfy on the Control

Sweet video, excellent riding. People COULD take one look and just say "he should be riding a BMX", but I like the fact that in the vid he pulls some lines that you wouldn't really see BMX'ers going for.
