    Vimto!

Completly random occurance when i was riding yesterday, decided to ride over a vinto can (as you do)not realising it was half full still (or half empty if your like that lol). anyways the can gripped the wheel and ran round on it spilling vimto over the rim. five minutes later when it had dried i was left with one hell of a sharp front brake lol p.s not recommended for actual professionals , people who use there front brake alot or people who want a brake they can trust lol also avoid wet weather walst using vimto!
  2. Pracrtice!!!! nothing more to say, technique is getting there just need practice. p.s an i right in thinking your rear brake is slipping when you hoping on the back wheel? it looked like it in the video. Improving the bite and hold of your rear brake set up would make things easier and is essential when you get to higher dificulty stuff.
  3. guna be heading over teignmouth this afternoon if any one else in the area is about tofay! probly be there between 1pm and 6pm.
  4. like this video! think ive seen bits on russel howards good news before. so is the message that if you become amputated through execive trials riding its not over?? lol

    Borisevich Pavel

yeah i love this one! thought his mod video was good this was better! was it 24 or 26? i like it when riders show the bails aswell!
  6. yeah its like me with drops, i use the excuse i dont want to damage my back wheel lol i can go on my back wheel and hop of something a foot high a hundred times and not think about it, (i do do higher drops this is just an example lol) but were as say dropping off the sea wall near were i live which is about 10 foot is basicly the same technique apart from a slightly heavier landing. It gets to the point were it annoys you cuz you know technicaly you can do it but your being a chicken shit lol i find when practicing side hops or large climbs i like to run at the obstacle a few time and deliberatly bail now so i get a feeling for what i will do if something does go wrong, but i find once you practice the timing of it and the movement it gets easier and you just need to put the right amount of effort in with a positive mental attitude. im not that keane on highs myself so that doesnt help but personnally not being a comp rider i think trials is more about the technical skills rather than saying look how many inches higher i dropped off lol
  7. very nice!! i like the bit at 2.50 when you hop onto the bench and then back onto that box!
  8. so you mean your on the back wheel and then you hop around. hmmmm i think ive managed 270. i might try the 360 version as my static 360's on the spot (off the floor) are pritty much my party piece.
  9. hey i know the tupmans! well i used to about 4 years ago lol ill keep an eye on the board and see if anything doe's come of it as id be up for entering as an intermediate 26 rider.
  10. use a very large hammer and a lump of wood!!!
  11. were was the newton comp? do you mean lustleigh farm? in the woods? just wondering as i may be interested if there are any more.
  12. I can 360 from a stand still (with brakes) and land on the back. The technique is basicly the same as a 180 or 270 just with a bit more power needed to realy kick the front around. the rear wheel stays almost exactly were it started apart from lifting off the floor. its a shame i dont have any vid links to show you. At first when you get to 270 (with brakes) you almost feel like your going sidways ue to the front wheel being fairly high but you just need to practice it... also on my bike (26) at least i cant make 360 moving, i have trouble hoping up large curbs at speed yet i can back wheel stall on something bar height lol p.s take it eassy, im used to doing them but i still yank my shoulder out now and then lol
  13. well ive just been to tq and apart from when it was actually raining the weather was fine, mabye another time guys.
  14. I ride 26 and used to ride 20 many years ago lol (bout 6). Recently been back into trials and loving my 26 but have had the itch to do some impulse buying and get myself a 20 inch again, just too ride for fun but im worried i may find it easyier and end up not riding my 26. i know there are certain benefits for both sizes but i wondered if anyone else rides both regually??
  15. well im hoping to make it over this afternoon but i wouldnt count on it so i wont arrange a time or place. if i do make it ill be around the sea front area of torquay between 1pm and 5pm.
  16. dont use car grade brake fluid!!! lol if your going too use oil go for either the magura brand (expensive) or find out the viscosity(how thick it is) of the magura oil and find an alternative. ive never used water personnally but i beleive it is a good alternative. just make sure you have a nice size seringe so you can punp it through until there are no air bubbles coming out the other end.
  17. well i was going too but i don't have a vehicle as it stands right now! Sod gettin the train aswell. There is hope ill keep you posted.
  18. tarty has good video guides, i think there is one about choosing size of bike and frame geometry etc to match your riding style. worth popping over.... http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/
  19. haha yeah i find the realy slow ones the best.. like the guy at 51sec thats about too side hope up a wall and just has what looks like a fit lol
  20. hmm strange i already have a hopr pro 2 all be it an older version. probably around 6-7 years old. Have the contact points been updated recently?
  21. nice video guys . question. what rear hub are you guys using?
  22. yeah realy gd vid!!! nice to see some smooth technique! i like the smoothness up those rocks about half way through. alot better to watch than static hoppy riding
  23. yeah i thought from the videos ive been watching they sounded a hell of alot more clicky lol hmm may have to invest in one soon. just worried that if i disassemble my rear wheel it will skew into al sorts of shapes lol
  24. Basicly im wondering does the Pro 2 trials have more contact points than the original meaning it engages alot quicker?
