  1. have you got a freewheel with the correct threads? that might be why they said it wouldnt work. what freewheel and cranks do you have? also do you have a sproket for the rear wheel once you have swapped?

chekc out the video guides on tartybikes.com they do a good job of explaining grinding and give a small demo!
  3. well them im the lucky ba***rd who got the last gd one! lol
  4. what so your saying the one i got from tarty is from the bad batch. im sure if the guys at tarty knew this they would have sent them back and got them replaced. mine better be ok! lol
  5. i asked about freewheels the other day and every one said get and echo sl without fail! p.s just looked on tarty and it looks like i got the last echo sl 108 lol worth waiting for them to come back in if peeps are to be believed!
  6. if your woried about hitting that dent again, go over to tarty and get a carbon fibre down tube protector. it will take the brunt of any knocks to the bottom of the frame and it ways peanuts. in fact peanuts are probly heavier and im talking a small amount of oeanuts mabye one or two! lol
  7. the brake made your bike sound about 20kg when you landed the bunny hop! lol
  8. love the technique from the guy on the red monty! little party tricks everywere! lol
  9. realy enjoyed that! some quality bails! nicely edited!
  10. you need football socks for front freewheel! lol chavin it right up!
  11. simple answer is its bent so straiten it so that all the sprockets / derailier are square and strait. the slightest glitch on a 6 speed will jump the chain. not ideal for trials. single speed kit all the way!

    Onza T-Rex Bb

i used to have a t-rex. i beleive the bb is trials standard and the head tube i used to run a standard size cane creek headset so i dont think you will have 2 many probs finding bits. also BB just get a ruler and measure from one side to the other (frame) it should be 63mm i beleive which is standard now. edit - just looked online and seen there was anewer version of t-rex released after the one i had. same still applies for bb though just measure across the bb tube on the frame. headset i would find out about though.
  13. south west england. devon etc. ride plymouth and exeter cities. and also dartmoor for the natural riding, got some very good riders down this part of the country. also bristol is realy good for street and its only a couple of hours up the motorway.
  14. yeah as said just tighten up drive side then loosen off non drive side a thread or 2 until its silky smooth. if the hub shell has a few threads sticking out of the frame you could always fit a lock ring if your worried about it becoming loose, only time you'll need to worry realy is if you can feel the bb axle wobbling in the bb but i doubt this would happen!

    Koxx Snappage

that down tube must hav e been cracked already judging by how he was looking down at it during the video. still he was a little heavy on it lol
  16. im just upgrading to front freewheel. one because they are cheaper/than freehubs (it remains to be seen how long they last compared to my original pro 2 ive had since 2006). in my case i only had 24 engagment points. (original pro 2) so having 108 in a freewheel will give me much better power etc. also as mentioned it can even out weight. im now* able to have a lighter hub and sprocket assembly on the back. the back end of my bike has always been heavy. personnal preference realy.
  17. tiniest un-noticeable flaw during manufacture may have caused yours to break. 2bh if it lasted a year riding trials it cant be that bad. lol
  18. some huge riding in that! loved it. nice style. realy like the pedal hooks!
  19. nice riding m8. i hate when people expect every video to be like a danny mac epic video! People want feedback on there riding not on there ability to edit. + the song wasnt that bad!
  20. the front sprocket , rear sprocket and derailier should always by as strait as possible with each other, specialy if you are using a derailier. so check that. im guessing you are using a single speed set up? if the angles are different thats your problem the chain should run in a nice strait line otherwise you get a tight spot were it grips, skips or the derailier and bingo the chain is off.
  21. well im guessing your on about 20 inch hubs. unfortunatly your looking at a profile or a criss king. both are expensive. especially the criss king bmx. it is possible to get a 16 tooth freewheel on a fixed rear hub and run something like a 20 tooth sprocket on the front. (just an example as i used 20 -16 or 18 -14 currently). http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/complete_freewheels/tryall_1089/c16p2035.html 16tooth freewheels more info about your cranks?
  22. You can close this topic now the Echo Sl has been purchased! just gota wait for my new wheels to be built and ill be fitting the lot!
  23. ideal, i aint riden with a freewheel since i had a 20 inch many years ago when a decent freewheel was 24 engagments lol thanks for the recomendations! guna be placeing and order for wheels and freewheel so wana make sure i get all my facts right first!
  24. how many teeth is the Echo Sl? just i will be buying a new rear screw on sprocket to match the gearing i need.
