If it's big enough to catch your foot on then yes.. But if you're not going to catch on it then it'll be fine..
Think of it like holding a stick to push over a book which is directly at the end of the stick.. given it's directly at the end the speed taken to push over the book is the same regardless of the stick size...
I'm well known for my silly examples..
