  1. No problem man, hope it helps you out. the top up method i explained is a simple way off doing this without removing the brake and does the same thing..
  2. oh and obviously when doing the slaves put the tpa right in so the slave piston comes out as far as possible then oil then
  3. yeah doing the piston in the lever and the slaves should make it feel snappy and like new again! and being it will need a re bleed will make it feel perfect!
  4. yep just rub some around them and that should make them return easier, doing the piston on the lever will make the most difference to a lazy brake, remove and lightly sand on both piston and bore, use like 1200 grit paper, and put some oil on that!
  5. should be the same pitch, link us the bolts and stem?
  6. just take the pads out and pull the lever right in so it exposes the slave piston and put some oil on it, mineral oil would probably be best!
  7. is the system compleatly clean? could be a sticky piston, slaves?
  8. unable to suggest anything then im afraid, put the steel back in is your only option it sounds like
  9. if its been bled with water for a while then may be a sticky piston, best thing for that is to remove it and give it a little sanding, bit of light oil and replace it, if its oil water mix then flush it right out till what you want in there comes out pure!
  10. yeah if it goes tight then lose sounds like you've stripped it im afraid
  11. how far do they go in before they click? could be bottoming out
  12. yeah aim them to the sky, good to hear it worked, bet the brake feel lovely, nice and responsive? how bads the flex? a little bits not a bad thing, a compleatly solid brake will reduce bite and give you arm pump on rocks and stuff
  13. your not really gonna get alot for £40, if you want a good one the sl is the way forward, but that will set you back £60
  14. no problem, hope it helps, 05 as in the race line style or the newer one? if its the newer one i think aiming the bleed screw up to the sky makes it better aswell!
  15. best way ever, will make a brake feel like new without even a complete bleed, get a syringe, screw your bleed hose into the lever grub screw end, remove the plunger from the syringe and put on your hose, fill with fluid and then simply pump your brake in and out and few times, flicking its good as well also do the tpa right up and pump it, i tend to pump it a good 10 or so times! release tpa pump a few more times remove syringe replace grub screw and you will have an amazing feeling brake that is full up so will feel even better, takes all of a few minuets and makes it feel amazing! hope this helps what lever are you using?
  16. i take it you've tried the 'top up' method after bleeding? that should get rid of the sponginess and any lurking air
  17. are they long enough then? as long as the steels?
  18. have you removed the bars and cap and tried just screwing them in without tension to see if they go in smoothly then?
  19. on these bb's you can replace all the parts, the bearings are removable and you can just fit new ones, same with the axle i belive. plus the bearings are cheap as chips, like £12 a pair or something
  20. might buy one of these frames, the old 09's ride nice still although the plus silly bb is off putting
  21. Andrei Burton has one of them 2013 frames at the moment
  22. nope afraid not, the Spanish bearing are press fitted so there's no threads in there to install a normal bb
