  1. generally improve everything move wise and go bigger, beat that bar height barrier comfortably! be great on rocks and do all this while being smooth as possible! lets see what happens in a year.
  2. there was a comp local to me last year, opted for expert level which was good, did some rock training to get me ready, but nothing could prepare us for it, the night before it rained and left us with rocks covered in wet moss that was slippery as anything, and mud everywhere, nothing was high it was more about getting around it, it was all tech lines! but you had to be nibble and light as a feather on the moss else you bike was gone! great fun though
  3. as danny said everyone's different so your best bet is trying a load on and seeing what feels best, ive got a met crossover and im very impressed, nice styling, light, fits well and is well priced
  4. them neons are light as f**k and pretty thin, ive got one for my dual disc and i cant say ide want to grind it much!
  5. some friends of mine cracked there echos and spoke to tarty, they would not replace the frame but would take money off another one, they ended up buying 2 limeys for less of the price because of the discount taken off for the compensation of there snapped frames, they also had to cut there echos up into pieces and send pictures to tarty to show they couldn't be used anymore
  6. i think im right in saying you've nailed them now!
  7. was announced last night that abel has signed with ozonys! think it will be good for him! article is here http://www.trialinside.com/abel-mustieles-signe-avec-ozonys/?lang=en
  8. just the lever feel, dont get on with it, had a hope previously and just preferred it
  9. im not getting on with my saint for pure trials, anyone wanna swap for a tech trial?
  10. so its been announced, Abel is signed with ozonys for the 2013 season and will be riding an evolution version of the curve 20" should be a good bike for him! article is here http://www.trialinside.com/abel-mustieles-signe-avec-ozonys/?lang=en
  11. ive recently started doing both, built up a brake-less mod and the idea is to ride that on occasions to get away from the inch hunting tgs and pure riding, kind off to stop me getting bored, improve a few skills, re light my trials flame when its getting low and have a laugh! its working but i would'nt change to brake less all the time but i do enjoy the challange and the flow, just as a fun bit on occasions, other wise i love my pure bike riding rocks and stuff
  12. as the title says really, is a shimano saint really better than a hope brake? or is it just the hype that makes people buy them
  13. dunno, all mine are mint when i remove them, guess i just like my teeth more than you do..
  14. nice riding, loved the line where you planted the front wheel against the lamp post then side hopped up!
  15. so the new try all freewheel's been out a few weeks or more now, haven't heard much about it, so looking for stuff on it, any one got one, testing one? what they like, work well, the previous batch od 108's were shite, skipped alot, lock rings came lose all the time and wouldn't last atall, and were always getting full of dirt, are the new ones worth trying! opnions
  16. using i chain since febuary? brave, i tend to change mine every 3/4 months to be safe
  17. could be a sticky piston so prehaps clean it, also the top up method you tried i found isnt the best, the best way to do it is to get a syringe and remove the plunger, remove the lever grub screw put the pipe in the lever with the plungless syringe on obviously with you fluid in, then simply pump the lever in and out, pump it a good few times, drives out air and fills your brake up! should get rid of the slack! and makes them feel brand new again! if its a 05-10 lever then aim the grub screw to the sky, think that worked best! try that before a full re bleed
  18. yeah but the difference is damons isn't the same although it looks it, he uses a roll to rear not to a hop to rear which gives the preload, looks the same but kinda isnt yeah mines the same, i can do bar comfortable but above is pushing it, it takes time thats all, the same with every move when you reach bar
  19. let me guess you've reached bar height when on two wheels? andrei burton told me it takes ages to get over bar height once you reach it, just got to push through it!, took him a few years to get 5 inches above bar! so stick to it, you wont regret it
  20. the way you tried recently is good for big power ups but the control is lost, its more a fly and hope you get it right, i would practice the normal way! that way you have more control off what your doing, you'll get bigger and you can use it for more precise moves, you wouldn't want to go strait to rear then sidehop on to a rail, you would want a nice setup
  21. Flap disc.. its lots of layers of sandpaper on a disc made for grinders
  22. grinder and a flap disc (sandpaper disc) Dam, DrStix beat me to it
  23. agree just if i can be done like this it would save some time, although if there going to remove there lever pistons then they may aswell bath bleed while there at it! the good thing about the top up method is you can do it out on a ride, and it can make a dull brake feel amazing, i found that if my pads wore down abit and i topped my brake up the tpa adjustment was less aswell.
