  1. you´d have have a t6 heat treating equipment for that, not a thing for a little company edit:as for leons last reply: yeah i too still think the waiting time sucks, but makes the stuff worth more in mind when it arrives.
  2. lever or slave? if its the lever unscrew the bleed bolt and push it out with a spoke or something similar
  3. christopher street? i think they named a day after him ... :wink2:
  4. atm i´m riding a syntace vro system, thats very good but expensive as hell. i can adjust angle and sweep as i like it to be. someone in the trials world pleaseee copy vro!
  5. but the other thing is that you´d have no comparability between different bars, when it comes to "pure rise" if you choose bars from total rise,it could kill your wrists: 76mm rise /4°up has similar total rise then 50mm rise with 8°up.(assuming both have 700 in width) 8°upsweep,horrible! if it was total rise in the whole bike industry you´d get a random geo everytime you change bars i think it´d be better everyone would call it up/back/rise,more clear to see what you get
  6. i think the description of the tt high risers said "total rise",that´d mean rise from bar clamp to bar end,and normally bars are measured in "rise" as rise from bar clamp to first bend. i think. edit:what i wanted to say is that if the dabombs are measured in the "normal" way, they´re "x rise" plus upsweep, depending on the bar with it could give another 20mm
  7. i think what he aimed to say was that a 20" is going very bad over rough terrain, and a 26" is less flicky. as in one has the skill wich is the others fault.(sorry for freestylish german-thought-to-english-words-translation lol) in my experience a 24" is the best thing to get,not as stable as a stock, not as much flicky as a mod,to make a long story short: perfect.
  8. i´d say go for the same setup as on the 24 but with 10mm less stackers,or maybe a 90x25 stem instead of the ritchey
  9. what the...!!! that mild steel one died hard!
  10. i meant the frame being perfect for a ns fork, but yours is nice, too. you need to get a mandrel bender though :wink2:
  11. perfect for an ns fundamental fork. that frame looks awesome to be honest
  12. i think its opening the trials market for steel frames.if it works, like it does obviously.
  13. 50g heavier than the cuy! thats another reason for heat treatment,it drops the weight down by 100-200g
  14. seems like you know me good now, haha and not. staying on topic with trials itself, most trials frames dont need it. doesnt change how it was meant in my mind,as a pure comment
  15. wasnt pointed on anything, just meant like bmx frames dont have those, mtb dj frames and others, havent too. you dont have to think everything i say is a subtle point on marino. its okay now, war´s over
  16. most dont need them :wink2:
  17. use 2 syringes and push the oil back and forth in the sytem, knock the hose with a screwdriver gently, then continue until no more bubbles appear
  18. in the sense of industrial production they make no difference between it,its all normed to "welded constructions" as term. seems like it doesnt matter whats the purpose
  19. as marino said it in a simple way,it makes it stronger, and especially more durable. josh, noone didnt mention the treatment procedure thats used, its normalization, then tempering.in germany we have the DIN 8580 norm for welded steel constructions,it says that the tensile strength goes down aprox 10% near the haz, with normalization this negative effects are gone. in every welded construction are haz-related weak points. the idea came with the need to treat fork legs with the new alloy,he had to glow them smooth(right term?)to bend them,as a result he and me tried it on a frame. youre a welder, too, you surely know about whats likely to happen if you dont have those holes: "cold" surrounding air,hot(500+C°) air inside the tube, expanding to twice the volume. i´ve seen tubes making "plop" and having a crack over half the lenght after that. no offence, but i thought welders have to know that stuff. you didnt answer my question about the colour isitafox, will it change? edit:parousia is ancient greek for "arrival",well chosen
  20. no,just a 358mm cs street trials one, wich is on its way to me now with the cuy.hellohhh, euro bb on a bmx? :wink2: edit:or did you mean the jaf? cant wait to see isitafox´s new frame built up,tyre clearance is massive by the look of it. i´d go for a transparent colour ,like blue, over silver, looks candy...
