Hey all! So, decided to swap my 2011 magura for a 05' magura (Not a good decision). Set the brake up and rode it for like 3 minutes and then my brake pad started rubbing. Turned out that the thing that the brake pads sits onto had snapped. Which left the whole plastic 'nipple' inside my brake pad backing. How the hell do I get it out from the backing? The "nipple" that I'm talking about is the piece that I've drawn a circle around.

After destroying my front wheel, rear 2011 magura, v brake I decided to fix my bike. Swapped the 2011 magura for a 'fully working' 05' magura. Bought a new rim and built the wheel up. Also got myself a brand new shimano saint. NICE. After 3 mins of riding today I snapped the thing that the brake pads clips onto.. And my front hub has some serious issues. Feck.... And also know now that I wont go to radfest. Lucky day...

This would deffo be a good idea! Wouldn't turn out that expensive if we split petrol etc!

But if you think about it, they are only a few peoples riding that big. The majority of riders that I know have no problems with the new lightweight stuff. And I run the middle light weight parts and haven't had that much problems actually. Parts do break and I think it's a bit wrong to just blame that they are lightweight shit. You do have a point though.

A lot of new parts are coming to me on Friday. Which makes it possible for me to actually go to radfeeeeeest!

Deffo not being a dick here, but do you actually need more tyre clerance than that? Especially since it has bolt through axles.

Probably wont run a front vee brake anymore so no but that lever feels spot on for me!
