  1. rhyl... hmmm did i download a different vid? sory if this sounds harsh but it was jumpy, didn't like the editing and overall boring. maybe i clicked dl on the wrong vid because you all seemed to love it and i thought it was
  2. i think next time i'll skip riding and try commentating instead to get them hyped a bit more  there was some wicked riding going down and occasionally the crowd got hyped and made some noise. well done to everyone who did ride and next time i think we'll have to make it all a bit more structured to get the crowds a bit bigger and more responsive...
  3. excellent video, just a shame you cut yellow card short, that tune rocks...
  4. eh? 2x8=16 not 8 like you said or 18 like he said... i understand the vx2=w thing but the numbers dont add up...
  5. look on the biketrialuk calendar, all events are on there (except for the next freeridetrials club events which is the last weekend in july (Y) )
  6. i know nothing about cars but surely two v8's would be w16??? 2x8=16 maybe its a car thing and they chose to ignore the maths but seems kinda wierd to me
  7. an ACU license is £10 and club membership varies... either go on the tykes web site or on cleanbikes and then go onto the biketrialuk bit...
  8. riding at the demo is only about 10% of what goes into making a successful event. it doesn't take one good rider to make a demo a success, it takes a team effort and we're rapidly losing that due to my attitude, ducko's attitude and alot of other peoples attitude... at the moment it feels like i'm the only one in the club with any power to do anything. i've tried taking a more back seat role in the demo weekend and got ducko basically calling me a lazy twat for it. i'd love everyone else to run the club but don't feel anything would happen. you and rob put alot into the club which is great, scott and rory are becoming more involved which is also great but there are still riders who turn up just to ride, they do a small amount of work and alot of riding. i'm sick of moaning at ducko but i'm even more sick of feeling like we do all the work and he does all the riding. weeks ago ducko said he was going to speak to a farmer about sorting some land for the summer comp and he hasn't so its been down to me (again) to find people with land and approach them (no its not because i've got the contacts its because i go looking for them). your spot on about the respect thing and for the last few months i have tried to keep my cool with ducko and not 'moan' at him but i feel he's taking the piss out of our hard work and yet every time i say anything all i get is the same old 'i've got exams to revise for etc etc'. so have the rest of us yet we find time to run the club. i am not going to do any more of the organisation for the july comp now, i've done enough already, if you (the other club members) want the comp to run then you'll have to put the hard work in because i've put enough work into the last 3 events. sorry if you lot don't like it but from my possition within the club it feels like i'm running it and you lot are helping out, thats not how clubs run, this club has a good committee but the workload is not shared out properly, i look foward to seeing how the club survives when i do as much work as everyone else...
  9. oh ok, i dunno how easy/hard things are to do because i've never been any good with photshop therefor everything is impossible for me (Y) cheers for the nice coments on my bike, its just been built with the parts i could get hold of and then i upgraded the bars and stem because the old ones felt awful. cheers :- tom
  10. personally i wouldn't go near that!!! really mate i'd just go buy yourself a decent set of allen keys and then as you find you need tools go an buy them, theres no point in having a massive tool kit that you don't use half of...
  11. (Y) i went all the way through it and carried on, didn't realise it was back at the beggining again!!!!
  12. what proper trials bike??? mine would have been a saracen mad i bought a few years back, i did my first 7 years trials riding on street/jump bikes...
  13. it just would have been nice for you to have at least mentioned the club in the video...
  14. 5 arms are available all over the place, i've even seen a 17t 5 arm one but thats a special joby. i think your gonna have to change your cranks to go any smaller, if you get front freewheel cranks and use a fixed cog then you can run anything from 11t to 22t (Y)
  15. nice video, shame there was no mention of the fact it was a freeridetrials_club demo or mention of the club sponsors who do alot to help support us with these events (selectbikes.com, howies and heatsinkpads.com). also a shame that none of the other video that was taken was included in the video because theres some nice video of matt, rob and i riding. (craig davies demo 2005??? - and sponsored by merseytrials??? - i dont think so!!!)
  16. well neither wiggle or middleburn do them so they might be like hens teeth... none here...
  17. hmm and whilst you photoshopage whiz's are at it can anyone get rid of the background behind my bike in this pic? cheers tom
  18. here she is again with a bit less chaos in the background...
  19. well here she is with an almost final build, i'd like to get a front fixed cog and smaller rear cog, polish the maggura to silver and sort myself out some matching tyres but hey she rides well so who gives a shit what it looks like...
  20. well it was beautiful weather all day and there was some great riding done, the only downer was the fact that yet again there seem to be a core few who do 99% of the work whilst the others just milk it and abuse the hard work we put in. things are going to start changing again within the club because its not fair on those who do the work when others just turn up, ride and then bugger off. otherwise quite a good day :S (except i now feel even more ill  )
  21. not completely agreeing with that list, i think theres alot of shit on there he definately doesn't need. allen keys, 1,1.5,2,2.5,3,4,5,6+8mm spanners, 8,10,14,15mm sockets, 8,10,14,15mm and ratchet i wouldn't bother with a tap and dye kit, if you just want the basics then buy that park set shown up the top, if you buy everything trials_pimp has listed i'm sure there will be a few things you'll lose before you use... also if you buy things in sets they are usually easier to keep hold of, lose spanners seem to wander where as if you have a set then its easier to spot when ones missing and hunt it down, don't go over the top mate just but the basics to start with and then buy bb/crank tools/chain whip etc when you need them because you might be lucky and not need them for months and months... :S
  22. the weather out there is lovelly and i'm sat at home sneezing and snotting :S i feel like shit and everyone else is out riding in the sun, ah well at least the weather is nice for them to ride in, it's be even worse if i was at home ill and they were also at home because of crap weather... cheers for popping down all you scouse lot  hope the comp went well today, later tom
  23. buy park, everything else is shit in comparrison...
  24. 6 months, anything left in your property and not requested to be returned for more than 6 months is legally yours!!! hide it and then tell them to go f**k themselves when they ask for it back 8 months later
